Recently i have bought HP pavilion g6 but the switchable graphics thing doesn't work.. i have all the drivers working.. when i select high perfomance from the amd catalyst control nothing changes while playing games like GTA 4,Assassins creed i'm getting low fps and when i select power saving it is still the same and in the GTA 4 benchmark results i'm seeing Graphics adapter as Intel HD 3000 in the high perfomance..
Help what should i do to make it work ?

salve non riesco ad aggiornare i driver della mia scheda video amd 4250+ati 6650 ultimo aggiornamento risale a 2011 ho provato diversi driver senza soluzione dopo li nstallazione ho mi dava schermata nera oppure mi dava errore su di una scheda codice 43 questultimo non mi faceva lo swicht con la scheda ati 6650.c e una soluzione ?
Hello, if got a Problem with my envy touchsmart 15-j070us touchscreen. There is after updating to win 8.1 no touchfunction anymore. At the devicemanager is only an normal pnp-display.
I can not found any driver for the display.

I have an HP Envy 3040NR. Unfortunately, the latest graphics card drivers HP has for this laptop are from 2011, and I am hoping they can be updated.
It's a nice laptop with plenty of RAM, I bought it with the purpose of playing games, but without the latest graphic card drivers, I am unable to do so. Are there any plans to update these drivers by HP, or has anyone else found a workaround (Being able to modify the catalyst drivers to install, or totally seperate modified drivers)?

I tried updating driver and bios but with no result, it only uses the intell 4000. Is there any bios to install to have fixed mode on this notebook?

my hp pavilion dv6 get`s so hot that it turns it self in to hibernate after 20 min playing wow. The fan is stuck at 30% and the cool sence dosent work at all. I have just reset my laptop back to factory settings and it worked properly for about 3weeks and then it started again. pliz help me.

I switched BIOS to fixed - which now allows the ati card to work, even though this still means that the drivers are dependent on HP even though for the past year they haven't been. Sorry for the tone, i had been looking for a solution for hours and simply got a lot of dead-ends with similar problems.

I am trying to get Minecraft working for my son on my old 6710b laptop. I understand it has the Intel 964 Express chipset in it. I have search a million different ways and always end up back at the Intel site with driver version 6.14.10.5218 as the latest graphics driver.
Everytime I try to launch Minecraft, I get a message saying something like "Unable to start minecraft because there is no accelerated openGl mode available" or something similar to that.
I have downloaded several openGl test type programs (like open CAPS or something) and I have been able to render some openGL 2.0 demos with them, but for some reason I can't get Minecraft to launch.
On another site, someone said they have this same laptop, but had upgraded to windows 7 and they are able to run Minecraft with no problem, so hardware is likely not the problem.
Any suggestions or assistance would be greatly appreciated.....my son is very anxious to start playing Minecraft :)

My laptop sceen turn white while starting windows,sometime it completely turn white,then i have to move the lids up and down and becomes stable.2) sometime it shows only lines and a sparkling display,,still i have to adjust the lids,,,,i noticed it happen until the window is started,,if window is on then i move the lids but nothing happen,,sometime it occurs alot,,,im wondering is this the hinges problem or display,,whatever i have no idea please guide me,.. ihave attached the images for you to better understand

I am using a HP DM4 1041TX laptop. I use an external monitor when I am at home or work to sit back and use it on the big screen of my monitor. Recently, the external display went black and did not work on any of the modes (duplicate, extend or projector only). Then, using switcheable graphics I set it on Power saving GPU and then my external display works on all modes. This means that my external display does not work on High performance GPU. Why?
I need a solution to this as all my applications run slow on the big screen due to the poor performance of the power saving GPU.

Can I upgrade my laptop current monitor with resolution (1366 x 768 ) with another one that supports higher resolution (1980 x 1080) or (2880 x 1880) or other higher resolution than the one that I have?
My bluray player will not play movies anymore. just asks for updates. I have downloaded every update I can find even new cyberlink software. NOTHING has worked yet and I'm loosing my Patients. My computer is the HP Pavilion DV6 notebook PC running windows 7 home premium.
