working ,in addition i google and went through some articles which says just double tap the indicater on your mouspad which is indicated to the most upper left corner , i did and it disapperead but still i cant find any changes since it remained locked ...

I'm asking this question for a friend.
One of her firends borrowed her computer which was working completley fine and when they had finished that put it back and put it on charge at 27% it wasn't turned off but they shut the screen. When she got back form work she turned it on and the screen went black with multicolor vertical lines and a black blob then went to white with the black blob.
I've done some research but can't find anything that comes close, she's really annoied because it's her mums and doesn't know what to do.

Could you tell me how i can increase the memory dedicated to video card (Mobile Intel 4 Series Chipset Family) on my Compaq Presario CQ 42? It came from factory with Windows 7 32 bit, and with that my C# and SFML games ran fine. Then i formatted the system and installed Windows 7 64 bit, and they don't run now at all. I'm almost sure it's due to video memory cos i see that its amount now is 64 MB. And i don't know how to increase that.

i would like to connect my laptop with 2 external monitors via vga and hdmi cables respectively...aparently my laptop does not support 2 external monitors and 1 internal... can anybody provide any solutions to have all 3 monitors connected?i am using ubundu 14.04 LTS
My touchpad has recently started to mess up. My left click is always held down for some reason even though when I click it I hear the click, so that's my first problem. I disabled the buttons so I only use tapping to click and stuff, but I cannot double tap to drag on my touchpad now for some reason. I went to the settings and it is enabled but it's not working. How do I fix this?
I recently upgraded my laptop to Windows 10 Pro x64. After windows finished installing, I checked the device manager to make sure all devices had installed, and noticed that the nvidia GTX960 graphics card isn't listed in the device manager any more. I checked to make sure there are no unknown devices, which there aren't.
There is no option in the bios to enable/disable on-board or discrete video adaptors, and the nvidia driver installer outright says that it cannot find an nvidia gpu.
I'm unclear at this point as to how I'm supposed to get this card running again. The laptop is brand new, and the gtx960 was listed in device manager and working prior to the upgrade... Any ideas on how I'm supposed to fix this issue?

i hope for the best. Actually, am really disappointed that HP PAVILION DM4 cannot run CALL OF DUTY BLACK OPS 3. First, I spent money for a laptopn then again a bunch for game but made me very disappointed.

I cant figure out how to fix youcam on my laptop. Everytime I try to open youcam It pops up with "you do not have the compatible VGA hardware or driver to run youcam". What information is needed to fix this problem and what do i need to do to fix it?(hp-15ac170tu)
My notebook has no optical drive is it supposed to? and if not how do i put the disk that has microsoft word and powerpoint in?
Hi, my integrated webcam stopped working it is not showing under device manager, programs like skype and youcam don't detect webcam at all but integrated microphone which is built on the webcam works without any issue. I have also tried to buy another webcam but this didin't fix the problem.
Do you have any solution?

About once a day I get the blue screen of death and a Video Scheduler Internal Error. Computer restarts and is fine until the next time. I've tried checking the driver is up to date (it is). Any clues?
Got a BSOD(video_tdr_failure ATIKMPAG.SYS error) whenever i try to install AMD 7670m driver(from HP site). I've been dealing with this for a week reading forums and everything but still can't find a clear solution to my problem. Can anyone know how to troubleshoot this.

Please help, my hp pavillion g4 will not come on when i press power button. When I plug in charger the blue light arround the port comes on. Please what could be the fault?
Videos not not play in any Windows 10 app nor Edge... The only way to get any video to play is through the Opera browser.
Any suggestions on how to fix or repair this?
I've seached and updated all drivers that I can or it will allow.

I had just recently had my lcd screen removed because it was badly damaged after a fall. It still turns on but only display to the windows. I want to enter the BIOS because i have to set some settings there.
Every once in a while the keyboard locks up after using for a few minutes. This started about a month ago. I reboot the notebook and the keyboard works. I am not sure if it is related to the touch pad being disable. When I start the computer after Windows loads I always disable the the touch pan in the Control Panel. Last night for the first time I replied to a couple E-mails and the third reply the keyboard locked up. I had to reboot for the keyboard to work. Most of the time the keyboard locks up when I first boot up

My laptop screen has a very warm color by default. Whites are this pale yellow color. Does anyone have the calibrated ICC color profile for this laptop screen?

Hey! New to the forum; sorry if posted in the wrong place.
I'm looking to buy a new laptop, but I'm not too sure what laptops HP offers.
The reason I posted in Video, DIsplay, and Touch is because I do digital art, and I'm looking for a touchscreen laptop that responds to pressure sensitivity. Or a stylus that can work with pressure sensitivity.
My old tablet, an HP EliteBook 2760p does that perfectly. The only problem is that it is slow and does not have good enough specs for PC games (low graphics card, heavy lag, overheats easily). If there's another more quick, modern laptop that can do exactly just that, I'd love to hear about it.
Here's what I'd like a laptop to have:
- Responds to pressure sensitivity
- Has USB ports and both mic and audio plug ins
- Adequete for gaming
The only other art laptops I can find are Cintiques that are around $2,000's. I'm looking for something $500 or less. (If there's something better but more expensive, go ahead and suggest that too, please!)

I have a HP Pavlion x2 laptop/tablet and sometime use it docked (as in plugged in to a monitor, mouse and keyboard). Something I noticed recently was, due to the layout of the ports on the side of the device, I cannot plug an micro HDMI cable in to the device while it is also plugged in to charge via the USB C port, because the two ports are right beside each other and the plugs get in the way of each other.
Is there such a thing as an ultra ultra ultra slim HDMI cable or ultra ultra ultra slim USB C port.
I have attached a picture below of the proximity of the ports together.
