Black screen after install video driver (hp probook 4520s)

I try Windows 7 64bit and Windows 10 64bit.

Problem start by itself. Everything is working very well and suddenly after Windows logo on Windows 7 come black screen and thats it. Nothing happens. I can start in Safe mode - everything work normal.

I try everything i know... and i found that problem is with video driver. When i install video driver (by amd site (new or beta version) or by hp site for my model of laptop) problem is here and nothing can do - in normal mode, after install every version of amd/ati video driver sistem not boot, its come black screen and thats it, no wellcome message, no cursor.

I can boot in safe mode and delete amd/ati drivers with Driver Fusion and then Windows start in normal mode, and work well, but every time when i install official amd driver (new version or old version) cant boot sistem.

In Windows 10 is everything same. After install everything working well, but after update cant boot - black screen is there.

I have hp probook 4525s with ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4250

What to do? How to resolve this problem? Thanks.

Hello,

I have a Elitebook 840 G2 with slimdock connected. I am trying to use the onboard LCD display along with 3 external monitors.

The system is only allowing me to enable 3 of the displays. When going into the display settings I can choose to enable the additional display but this in turn will disable one of the other displays. It will allow me to use my 3 external monitors and then will disable the onboard screen.

I have attempted to update both the AMD and Intel video drivers, flashed the BIOS and updated the slim dock firmware.

Any ideas on why this would not allow to enable all 4 displays?

Hello Sir, My Processor ; ( 5th Generation Intel Core i3 5005U (2.0Hz) ) . i downloaded the graphic driver hd5500 and installed successfully.but the problem is when i downloaded 1080p Videos on my notebook and when i play it shows black bar in video.i uploaded image here on the link ( http://imgur.com/pa3pUaS ) see in window media player why it shower black bar.tell me the solution is my screen resolution size is 1366x768. tell me solution please and if 1080p not playable for this screen then will 720 will work on full screen without black bar ? am wating for the reply and solution.

Ok, so I was watching a video stream last Friday when my screen froze and subsequently crashed.

I tried restarting after that but a black screen (with no cursor) would appear after the Windows logo during startup and I haven't been able to get my notebook to start up normally since.

After reading up on the black screen problem in the forums, I suspected that the problem might be the graphics card, so I rebooted in safe mode and disabled one of the video drivers.

Under the device manager, it says that I have the following video drivers installed:

1) ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5470 - Ver: 8.771.1.0

2) Intel(R) HD Graphics - Ver: 8.771.1.0

(*Note that I have not updated the drivers since I bought this notebook in 2010.)

There wasn't any change to the black screen problem when I tried disabling Driver 1), but when I disabled Driver 2), I was able to start up in normal mode, but with a strange low screen resolution.

So I figured the problem lies in the Driver 2).

I then tried to download and install the latest graphic drivers from the HP page (http://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/selfservice/HP-Pavilion-dm4-1100-Entertainment-Notebook-PC-series/4247657/model/5034206).

I managed to install the "AMD High-Definition Graphics Driver" successfully (or at least there wasn't any error message), but when I tried to install the "Intel High-Definition (HD) Graphics Driver", I would get an error message saying: "The driver being installed is not validated for this computer."

I wasn't able to install the drivers using the HP Support Assistant because I wasn't able to update my HP Support Assistant to the latest version either.

So basically, I'm stuck at here and I haven't a clue on what I can do next.

I'm not exactly very good with computers, but I would be glad if anyone could advise where to go from here.

Since I updated to windows 10, my touch screen has not been working. After investigation, I realized the HID-Compliant touch screen driver is missing. Cant find a link on HP or Microsoft to reinstall. Already checked to see if it was hidden driver...no luck.

Any ideas?

Hi, I need ati radeon 6470m and intel graphics 3000 dual graphics driver for windows 10 pro 64 bit edition. Windows 7 and windows 8.1 compatible driver is not working on windows 10, it installs successfully without any problem, but swtiching to high performance cause crashing of a game or media player. I have also tried updating driver via windows update but it detects ati radeon 6470m as ati 7400m series and doesn't work at all, kindly help me what to do.

I tried diffent driver options, but I can not solve the problem. Also pictures are added below.

Option 1: Windows Update Drivers - Intel HD 3000 works, AMD does not work and detected as 7400M

Option 2: Official AMD Latest Drivers - Intel HD 3000 works, AMD does not work and detected as 7400M

Option 3: Official HP Windows 7 Video Drivers - Intel and AMD card drivers do not works correctly

Option 4: Official HP Wİndows 8.1 Video Drivers - Intel HD 3000 works, AMD does not work and detected as 7400M

Option 5: Lescatlabs.net Catalyst UnifL Project Drivers - Intel HD 3000 works, AMD does not work and detected as 7400M

Option 6:New AMD Radeon Crimson software - Intel HD 3000 works, AMD does not work and detected as 7400M

Every thing detects my graphic card as 7400M and not 6470M.

I had removed my previous windows backups because of memory issues and now I find it as my second biggest problem ( First ofcourse the graphic card )

I dont want to downgrade my windows as I love windows 10. Please help if you find some solution.

I just bought an HP Folio 13-2000 ultrabook with a broken lcd. I've been looking all over the internet for a compatible screen, but they're all $200+. Does anyone know of a place to get one/what other cheaper screen might be compatible?

HI,

It was all smooth and fine till i upgraded my fingerprint sensor and new bios through hp support assistant...

but now the finger print sensor keeps MIS-BEHAVING... i mean it just keeps on blinking even if there's noo need...

it sometimes stops blinking when i manually open support assistant and also try rubbing on it with some other finger...

im getting really annoyed by its continuous blinking please help me...

NVIDIA Windows Kernel Mode Driver Version 353.62 has stopped working and recovered message appear while using autocad or also other programs which are not autodesk and close. I tried to reinstall drivers and also ripristinated the sistem. But the problem persists. The message appears also without opening programs. I thought that could be a hardware problem. But curiosly there are times when I open autocad and can work without problems. But after I close it and reopen the problem reappear. Sorry for my bad english. A couple of times also appeared the blue screen with the sad face and segnaleted me the VIDEO_SHEDULER_INTERNATIONAL_ERROR. Hope someone knows how to fix it.

Touch screen not working. i have uninstalled driver and then refreshed for hardware change. it is detecting the touch screen. when i am trying to calibrate, that time screen is not responding. please suggest solution for this. i am not able to figure out whether it is a software problem or hardware issue.

HP Chromebook 14 runs but screen stays black, no video.

Summary: After a complete "System Recovery" effort it worked ok for awhile but reverted back to the original symptom of a BLANK BLACK SCREEN.

To see any video at all, I connected a 2nd monitor, via the Chromebook HDMI connectioin. The 2nd monitor showed plain Lt blue video, including some keyboard stroke status for controls like mute, vol level etc when they are touched. After trying lots of simple web advice (to get video on chromebook screen) nothing worked.

I manually induced and successfully performed a complete "factory OS reset" or "System Recovery" (Chrome OS). After all that I still did not get "normal video" on the Chromebook video screen, but the 2nd monitor now displayed the standard pretty factory desktop scene; yet no prompt for completing the System Recovery.

Finally: I shut everything down and quit for the night. Next morning when the unit was powered up everything worked normally for the Chromebook; normal video and prompt menu ones sees after the OS reset. BUT, it was not long before it reverted back to the original symptom of a black screen, I'm back at square 1. Thank you for any suggestions.

Hi, i have probook with processor i7 5500u and amd r5 m255. I upgrade my w8.1 to windows 10 and everything is fine except for one thing. when i start game i have low bad performace... low fps. I reinstall my graphic cards(more times more, version). But i have still problem. How can i fix it. What drivers i must have(versions of drivers). Or is here someone who have this pc windows 10 and good games performece ? Smiley Happy

Lost connection from my Pavilion laptop to the monitor I have been using. Have changed the monitor - same result; have changed the HDMI cable - same result. There is only an HDMI port on this laptop.

No changes or installations prior to identifying the problem. Working fine one minute, then the next time I go to use the laptop and monitor, it doesn't recognise the monitor.
