Laptop Screen Went completly White

So I was randomly scrolling through a forum, which for sure is secure. And suddenly my screen blinked twice in white very fadly and then Turned completly white. I turned my computer off instantly and back on and it was still white. Then 5 min later I went back and its back to normal. Im typing this with same laptop. 

 

This problem happened last year. It ended up with my Hard Drive being corrupt and had to change it. After it went white last year it woudnt turn on at all. 

 

I really want to knwo whats the problem and how i can fix it as i dont want my computers Hard Drive to get corrupt again. 

 

Also i constantly run antivirus to make sure i dont have visuses, I only have a few programs on my computer so no programs should be messing with it. Im thinking its more of the graphics card or the backlight display.

How can I connect my new Hp Envy 750se computer with a Nvidia GeForce GTX 960 card to my old hp w2207 monitor DVI-D digital signal?  Is there an adapter cable that some one could recomend?  Please help, I don't want to buy a new monitor right now.

Screen is black with static line at the top unless it's all the way open, then will randomly go black again and again. I have to tap on it repeatedly to get it to come on. Sometimes it will stay on for a long while without tapping, sometimes I have to tap it every few minutes to get it to come on again. Help!

Hi i have a White Vertical line on the left side of my computer and i dont know how to solve it. Ive tried to fix it before and it didnt work. Does anyone know how to fix it?

When my laptop comes out of sleep mode the screen is very dim. It just started doing this. Is there anyway to remedy this. Thank you.

Hi folks,

 

I can't seem to get the pressure sensitivity to work in Corel Painter with my new Spectre X360 and the Active Stylus. Pressure sensitivity works in other programs but I really need it to work in Painter, my art program of choice. Thoughts/suggestions?

After installing Windows 10 the external monitor cannot be detected and there is a message "Your PC cannot project to another screen. Try reinstalling the video driver or using a new video card. I have attempted reinstalling the driver without success.

2 Months ago i bought new latop and facing this blurred screen issue from first day. I have installed latest Intel hd graphics drivers, and AMD Radeon-Software-Crimson-16.1.1 driver. But my issue not resolved.

 

And there is no AMD display settings available in Radeon settings (also tried to install CCC but there is also no display settings).

 

 

and Intel hd graphics set as default display adapter check in below screenshot.

I have APU- A8 7410 with Radeon R5 Graphics and GPU- Radeon R7 m360, preinstalled on my device.
So basically having a gaming laptop, I am not able to maximize my notebook's performance by 'Crossfire' or 'Dual Graphics' technology by AMD.

I was having 'Catalyst Control Center' before, then I updated windows and Graphics driver to 'AMD Crimson Edition',I did'nt found option there too.

I'hv tried many ways like reinstalling the Graphics driver 'Crimson Edition', then I rolled back to 'Catalyst Control Center'.

Now also I am not getting an option. I gone through many Youtube videos, but they are only guiding for Assembled Desktops. I saw that they are opening there CPU and changing the monitor slot again and again, which is not possible in Notebooks  .

They are also telling to do some changes in UEFI, I don't know where these settings are found.

I have what appears to be a common problem, a black screen on notebook.

However, by use of torch I note the logon screen is there albeit, almost invisible!

By connection to the tv via hdmi cable I have a good PC Customer Support screen.

I have used HP Customer Support support and have updated the bios and updated the screen driver (Intel), per suggestions.

I have confirmed that the bios has updated, as has the driver.

I have made no progress with the screen issue.

How do I tell if it's simply a backlight failure?

Your help appreciated.

my spectre x2 can see the wireless display adapter, then i ask to connect, it tries...

1. i see the wifi direct network start,

2. tv display says my laptop is connecting

3. then it all just times out, and reports connection failure.

 

intel hd 515 graphis - 20.19.15.4364

intel wireless ac-7265  - 18.30.0.9

windows 10 build 10586.122

firewall rules confirmed ok

 

device is working - connects from my mobile phone, just not from the spectre x2. suspect its a driver conflict?

 

any ideas...please

Hi,

I have a ZBOOK 15 G, on Windows 7 64 bit I have this problem

 

for some reason Windows stops this divice, but windows works just fine.

 

 

As for Windows 8 or 10, it is very slow and it mostly stops working.

 

Any ideeas?

I get the message:

Display Driver intel Graphic Drivers for windows 8(R) stopped responding and has successfully recovered. 

 

I get this a lot.  Do I have a defective driver?

In the Device Manager, both the INTEL HD Graphics and NVIDIA GeForce 840M are showing as stopped.  Windows gives the code 43. 

 

I was able to upgrade the NVIDIA driver, but Windows says the Intel HD has the latest driver. 

 

I'm having problems connecting a new projector (Epsom EX 5250 Pro) with the laptop recognizing it.  Neither HDMI, USB, or VGA works.

 

This laptop is only 10 mos. old.  And I just got the new update for Windows yesterday.  But it didn't resolve the graphics issue.

having core i5 , Touchpad suddenly stopped working, that time my laptops's oprating system was windos 10, later i have reinstall windows 8 64bit, but same issue, also no driver icon is shown in taskbar for syaptic infact of i have installed several times, i have updated bios driver also, Please recommend me solutions, is it hardware issue? do i hav to chnge my touchpad i m so worried please help

Every time I start the laptop I have to click 'num lock' to use the number pad.  Is there anyway to change a setting to keep it on unless I want to turn it off?

Here's a good one for ya

 

When you hit the power button the backlight comes on but there is no display. No POST No

 

Windows. Just nothing.So i tried to find a top half on ebay cause it is out of warranty and i

 

had a feeling i would crack the touch screen. Couldn't find one so i choose to just switch

 

out the touch screen with a standard upper half since i have several 17.3 screens around

 

and really didn't use the touch screen anyway. Ordered that and a new lcd cable. I put it all

 

together and got the same thing.Tried a second screen and got the same thing. It works

 

plugged into a monitor just fine. Updated BIOS just in case and still

 

nothing. Now here is the kicker. For giggles i plugged in a 14" screen in to the new cable

 

and boom it came on.

Just purchased an Active Stylus to use on my Envy Sleekbook.  Doesn't work.  Is there software I need to download and if so where do I find it?  Or is this pen not compatible?  Thanks
