Touch pad settings are not saving?
So I just got a new laptop, and I was playing around with the settings and I set the touch pad to the one finger scrolling option, and it's been working pretty good besides the way that I either lock, or restart my laptop the settings aren't applied anymore, and I have to go back, each time, and reapply them.
Yes I am clicking apply and save after setting these settings I've even tried it multiple times, and it doesn't matter because each time I reset, or lock and unlock my laptop the settings are no longer saved and have to be reapplied. How do I get these settings to stay permanently? Without me having to reapply them each time use my laptop. It gets very annoying.

surface pen 3 connected to my spectre x360 but the pen does not write or show ink on the tablet ?
just bought a spectra x360 and a surface 3pen. i can connect the pen and bring up onenote, i have manually connected via blue tooth but nothing is happening when i use the pen to write on the screen, what can i do ?

does not use the ati radeon r7 m360, hp pavilion
hi i have a hp pavilion Notebook - 15-ab119no (ENERGY STAR)
and need help with my graphics problem
i think this notebook only uses the r5 radeon since it has two and that one is part
of the cpu. i also have a ati radeon r7 m360 in the machine but it seems like it is not
using that. i ve tried to set the settings to performance and all that . installed drivers
from the hp webiste etc but games like Skyrim still lags and have problems.
it also shows in Skyrim options only the r5 graphics card and not the r7.
how do i do to solve this problem?
as i said i ve tried most things that were recommended.

Brightness Hotkeys are not working - ENVY 15-j173cl
Brightness control keys (F2 & F3) have always worked, even after my upgrade to Win 10 they functioned without issue. Last week my hard drive quit working. HP sent me a new drive, and flash drive with all drivers and software for Win 8.1. I installed Win 10, and got all available drivers for Win 10 dealing with battery management, display drivers, touchpad, etc off HP’s site for my model.
Every hot key functions correctly, and except for the brightness keys. I've checked the device manager, attempted to update drivers, always comes back and states correct driver is installed. Tried disabling / enabling the display, which did nothing. Win 10 has all latest updates. Kind of perplexed as to why they are not functioning, and what driver or device actually controls screen brightness.
Screen is stuck at full brightness, and it just too much for my light sensitive eyes, let alone I'm sure it’s more drain on the battery.

my computer screen goes dark when i plug in the power cord. it comes back after i remove it.
I noticed that the brightess now increases as the slider is moved to the left, the slider was all the way to the right when on a/c, this caused the screen to go black when plugged in. Did an update do this??

elitedisplay s140u problems connecting to ASUS X552E laptop
Just purchased an hp elitedisplay s140u monitor to use with my ASUS X552E laptop... when I plug the monitor into my USB3, it powers up but is not recognized by the laptop... I downloaded the drivers and ran, still not being recognized... spent last 4 hours researching and trying different options, none working...
I did attach the hp elitedisplay s140u to my son's Acer Laptop and it was recognize immediatly and I was able to use with no problem (so I know its not an issue with the monitor...)...
I've run the DisplayLink software, I ran the sp73520 install... I've removed the Radion video software... nothing has worked (the hp elitedisplay s140u just shows that it needs to be plugged into the laptop)...
My existing video graphis card is a AMD Radion HD 8330...

Display not coming
By mistake i uninstalled catalyst control center and when the notebook retarted, the display of window is not coming anymore but the pointer appears when the mouse moving.

ZBook 14 G2 - Touch Screen stopped working today ! Help !
Hello there!
After today's AMD video driver and BIOS updates, my Touch Screen stopped working.
I've restored Windows to yesterday's state, which did not help.
I've checked all the touch screen settings in Windows and ran the HP Diagnostic Test for the Touch Screen - nothing helped.
Could anybody help me please? I'm using the touch screen a lot on this PC and this is such a let-down.

Sleep mode issue.
When the laptop goes into sleep mode it does not turn on back but when turn it off by holding the power key and then restarting it, it runs normally again. How can I fix this problem?

Desktop background won't display anything
Hi there, I'm visiting my Mom and have noticed that no display picture shows up on her desktop no matter how many times I choose a picture and click to save it. The bottom of the screen with the directional icons lights up in the colour of the photo at times, but nothing else. The background stays black. Thanks for your help in fixing this issue-- nothing I cand find on the pc seems to help the matter.

My screen is light blue
My notebook was working and the all of sudden, I went to open up my PowerPoint presentation and my screen turned light blue and has been stuck like that ever since. I can't see anything. Someone please help.

cant delete movie from a RW disk in drive F
Although I have had my notebook for 4 years i have only just started to use Drive F to burn movies onto RW disks. My problem is that I cannot delete a movie off the RW disk in driveF!!!
Has anyone any suggestions. I have tried all that Microsoft can offer on this, have also searched wikepedia, Have tried Nero erase, no luck, have tried DIVx again no luck.
Any suggestions would be appreciated

HP display freezing, black screen HP logo

This notebook is less than 2 years old and lately has been jumping to a black screen with a white hp logo, sometimes doing it several times in a row, and then freezing until I have to actually turn the computer off. I ran a check disc. I updated the AMD Catalyst drivers. I tried to utilize the option at hp website to scan my computer for outdated software/drivers but that failed several times. I would like to get this resolved before it gets worse. Can anyone help me?

PC won't allow brightness changes; fn key not working?
When I first acquired my ProBook 4540s running W-7 64-bit, I could adjust the brightness up or down by means of fn+f2 and fn+f3. Then I swapped the original hard drive for a Samsung 850 Pro SSD and reinstalled W-7 64-bit (it has current updates and drivers as far as I know, and current BIOS of F.60). Now I cannot adjust the brightness at all, up or down.
With the battery 100% charged and the AC adapter plugged in, fn+f2 and fn+f3 have no effect.
If I unplug the AC adapter, the screen goes dark for a second and then reappears as it was. Then if I plug it back in, the screen goes dark for a second and then reappears as it was.
Just to confirm, I'm using the keys as follows: I press fn and hold it and then press f3 (or f2). I tried holding f2/f3 down and also repeatedly pressing and releasing.
I can think of two possibilities. First, the fn key is not working anymore (the f3 key is definitely still working because if I press it by itself, the search window appears). Or two, the Samsung SSD is interfering with the brightness adjustment. I'm leaning toward fn not working because fn+f6 does not display battery data.
If there is a way to force the screen to full brightness, please let me know.
I do not see another fn key. Is there a way to remap it or use a shortcut of some kind?
UPDATE: I think the fn key is broken, but I found I can change the brightness by going to Control Panel -> Hardware and Sound -> Power Options -> Change plan settings and adjusting the sliders. I just tried booting Linux from a USB flash drive and the screen appears to be as bright as it was under Windows, so the brightness settings appear to be set for the laptop.

Can't type and use track pad at the same time
I've tried everything, I really like my new laptop I got it today and I wanted to play some of my games. When im playing a fps game or any other game like that as almost un-playable. I've tried re-installing the drivers and edited with all the settings and it did help a little but I can only use them both at the same time for about 2 secconds. Please help. I spent hours now getting it to work. I just want to play my games.
