I just got a brand new HP Spectre 360 shipped to me from Best Buy. When I booted it up, I was totally suprised by the home screen - It is an Asus Zenbook with photo and label. Why?????????? Am I getting duped by Best Buy (hard to beleive but I'm confused).

Hello,my pc is less than 6 months old,i bought it with W 8.1 installed in it already,i bought FIFA 15 game and installed in it,it was working perfectly with no issues,then a pop-up message appeared that i upgrade to W 10,i did so but when i tried to play my FIFA 15 game,it begins to hang and wont load well,so i degradeded back to W 8.1,because i felt maybe W 10 wont really work for my game,but to my biggest surprise,when i try to play the FIFA 15 game,it will play but still hangs,its no longer smooth again like the 1st time i was playing it before i installed W 10,so now im SO confused and i cant play my FIFA 15 again,so i need HELP big time PLEASE,i dont know what to do,kindly help as soon as you can PLEASE....THANKS

Spectre x360 cracked screen
So i have a spectre x360 which i use for uni. Just came back from break over the summer and opened my laptop for the first time in months (it has been sitting on my desk untouched ( to find a crack in the screen. Upon returning to the store they informed me that they can't help because cracked screens are not covered by warranty. I go to two repair places which quote me about $1800 for repairs!!! I paid 1900 for the **bleep** thing. This to me sounds criminal. My best option at this monent is to buy a new laptop and you can be sure it wont be another HP. Is there any alternatives for me and can i get my hands on a replacement or repair for less than that.

HP Pavilion 15 notebook pc Brightness problem
HI everyone,
I'm having an annoying problem concerning my brightness on my Pavilion 15 notebook pc..
When i press the the butoon to decrease it, it increases instead ....... when i press the buton to increase it , it decreases ..
When its on economy mode, the brightness increases instead of decreasing
Sometimes when im using my laptop, the brightness randomly changes.
Is there a fixed solution to this problem??

Intel HD Graphics driver won't install; Screen brightness buttons don't work
Hello,
I am setting up this new HP Notebook - 15-ac011nu, running Windows 7 64-bit.
Inside is an Intel Pentium n3825u, and the integrated Intel HD Graphics is its only gpu.
I've installed the Intel chipset driver, and everything else afterwards (which all works fine), but I'm having an issue with the Intel HD Graphics driver.
The Intel HD graphics drivers available on the HP support website (10.18.14.4112 Rev.A, and 10.18.14.4234 Rev.A) refuse to install with the error that "The system doesn't meet the minimum requirements".
I've also tried downloading from the intel website. .Exe installers all give that same message. Attempting to manually install the driver from .zip, just says that a better version is already installed (just the default Microsoft one) and does nothing.
This wouldn't normally bother me, but the screen brightness buttons (f2,f3) don't work and I assume it's because of not having the proper Intel driver. All the other drivers are installed and all the other function buttons work.
Any suggestions appreciated.

Chaotic random scrolling and active window change - perplexing!
All was fine with my Pavilion notebook until one day it started suffering strange video behavior. While in an active window, suddenly the screen would automatically scroll to the top or bottom, or partially. I'd scroll back to where I was, but then it would scroll away again without my touching it. With a window having no scroll, it would sometimes just change the active window. So I'd be typing and then suddenly I'm on a different window. At one point I just watched in disbelief as the screen showed acknowledgement of a screenshot and then a menu selection for Outlook and a new email was selected. I waited for the destination address to be typed in, thinking that someone had control of my laptop, but it stopped there... nothing else was done (thankfully).
I thought I was suffering from some peculiar virus, so I searched online to see if anyone else was suffering similar symptoms. Nothing. My antivirus program hadn't picked up anything (Avast!). I downloaded Malwarebytes and ran it... nothing found. I applied a bunch of Windows system updates and rebooted... problem still not fixed.
Then I reconsidered and suspected that somehow my computer was being compromised and a hacker was remotely "toying" with my computer (although the behavior seemed a bit too random). I turned off Internet access and it still kept happening. I had an external USB mouse installed, so I unplugged that just in case--no difference. I thought maybe the touchpad was acting up from some film or light debris on the surface, so I cleaned it... no change.
I'd never experienced this before. And I couldn't find any recent references to anyone else experiencing this. Did my computer develop a peculiar hardware defect? Still under warranty, but I didn't want to go through that hassle.

NVidia Drivers Download Corrupted
Downloaded the sp72727.exe file containing the NVidia drivers successfully, but upon launch of the file, I get past the splash screen, the EULA, location to save the file, then get this message:
"The contents of this file cannot be unpacked. The executable you are attempting to run has been corrupted. Please obtain another copy of the file, verify its integrity, and try again."

how to get video/dvd to play on overhead through laptop
I currently use this HP 2000 to run powerpoint presentation on our churches overhead through an HDMI cable.
I am having trouble with playing a dvd and it showing up on the overhead screen. It plays on the computer screen but cannot see it on the overhead projector screen.
Also, only power point shows up on the overhead projector screen.
How can I get the movie to show on the projector screen.

hp Pavilion Gaming Notebook Flickering image
Hi,
My brand new laptop is a Hp Pavilion Gaming Notebook - 15-ak085na and since I've started it, the screen keeps flikering. It can be ok for 5 minutes and then blinks, 30s and blinks, etc...
I've done all the startup updates and dowloaded the necessary drivers (most of them are an older version than the installed).
Can someone please help me with this?

No pen or touch availabe? screen not damaged

My laptop recently was dropped on the floor. Everythings is working fine and the screen is not dameged one bit. When the laptop fell the screen just popped off and could easilly snap back on. I noticed while the screen was off that there was a little cord cord that appeared to be unhooked behind the screen on the right side. I didnt wanto play with it since i have no idea what it is. When i clipped the screen back in I noticed the touchscreen was not working and it says "no pen or touch available for this display" what i was wondering is could it be that cord that i saw behind the screen that appeared to go somewhere? I would appreciate any feedback!

I also have an HP laptop with graphics that are garbage. IT CRASHES at least 6 TIMES A DAY. HP IS NOT HONORING THE WARRANTY. If it is new enough return it now! HP can't do graphics.

HP Envy malfunctioning keyboard
I bought my HP Envy notebook a month ago, and all I'm not overly impressed - given how expensive it was! The mouse is temperamental, it has crashed on many occasions (and yes - all my updates and antiviral software are definitely up to date), but more worrying is a serious malfunction with my keyboard. It is now impossible to use a particular character more than once in quick succession without first waiting 3 seconds for the system to refresh. For example, if I wanted to type the word 'succession' I would have to type' suc' (wait for 3 seconds) then 'ces' (wait another 3 seconds) then 'sion'. The same goes for backspace and return - which, as you imagine is enough to drive me insane.
This is really outrageous and completely unacceptable. I'm a busy post-graduate student needing to write thousands of words each week, and this product is shockingly bad.
HP: please help as a matter of urgency!

GT 840M throttling problem
Hi, i have a problem with my laptop.
First, sorry for my bad english.
I have a hp laptop with i5 4200u, 8gb ram and gt 840m.
First i can´t install any drivers, just the drivers from hp (i´m annoying for it, because i can´t play new games for this this absurd decision from hp)
But the reason of this topic is not this issues, the reason is the next
When i play games, when the GPU reach 67ºC, It starts to throttling (**bleep**, 67ºC is a very good temp, with 100% gpu usage, so in summer i won´t able to play anything? or what?)
So.. i need a fix for it, cause i bought a laptop with 840m to PLAY, and i guess hp put a 840m in this laptop for PLAY, not for watch videos on youtube.
I already do all the basic settings, so pls don´t tell me about it, i don´t post here to see (turn on high performance, etc) this is a serious post, and my english is really bad, this is not a confortable situation for me, cause i need to work very hard to understand what you will say.

HP Support Assistant recommended video driver causes Windows 7 blue screen
The HP Support Assistant on Windows 7 notified me of an update to install the "AMD 2014 Win 10 Video Driver". Is there a reason for this notification considering I am running the Windows 7 Professional that came with my purchase of my laptop ? Needless to say when I installed this software as recommended by the HP Support Assistant I received a Windows 7 blue screen of death as part of the install, Windows 7 then immediately shut down and rebooted my machine, a number of files on my hard drive were seriously messed up ( chkdsk on two different logical drives finally straightened out this problem ) and my AMD FirePro M4170 video adapter showed no drivers installed in Windows 7 Device Manager. I managed, using Windows Update, to install the latest Windows 7 driver for the AMD FirePro M4170, but this was not a good experience with all the things that went wrong ( I had a backup of my Windows 7 partitions which I would have used if I could not recover gracefully ).
I have also installed Windows 8.1 which came with my laptop in a separate partition and am able to multi-boot into either one of the OSs. I notice that this same "AMD 2014 Win 10 Video Driver" is offered as un update by the HP Support Assistant on Windows 8.1, but I am now smart enough to avoid it permanently.
Is this disastrous "update" for Windows 7 or Windows 8.1 actually known about ? If the update is for Windows 10, as its name implies, why is it being offered for Windows 7 and Windows 8.1 ? Clearly it is a total disaster for Windows 7 and I am not interested in finding out that it is probably a total disaster for Windows 8.1, considering what happened in Windows 7. Has nobody else experienced this ?
I really like the idea of HP Support Assistant ( and wished it worked on non-HP PCs for HP peripherals attached ), but if the program is going to offer "updates" which totally crash the OS and break the file system I am not going to like it all that much. I am sure that when I had HP Support Assistant install the "AMD 2014 Win 10 Video Driver" for Windows 7 I did nothing different installing it than I have done installing other updates recommended by HP Support Assistant.
