i have a pavilion g4 1204ax, which have 6620g integrated graphics, and 7400m discrete graphics.

the problem happened many times since i upgraded to windows 10. But some how the discrete graphics appeared again

3 days ago, the problem happened again, but this time the discrete graphics didn't appeared in device manager. i've been tried everything: reinstall driver, dowgraded to windows 7 and windows 8.1 but the discrete card still disappear. i'm afraid it is a hardware problem. Any suggest ?

HP Stream 11 turns on but monitor will not turn on.  I've connected it to a Smartboard and the monitor turns on and displays the start screen. 

 

Serial number  (removed content) , 64 bit. 

 

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

This may be an unusual request...

 

I came across an Elitebook 8770W at the office that someone had bought and I think removed the nVidia K5000M GPU that was in it.  It had never been started up either.  I booted it and it went through setup and it works for the most part - but none of the external graphics (DisplayPort/VGA) ports work and the driver that loads is "generic vga" by Microsoft. 

 

I run speccy and it says it has a GT216 GPU and the nVidia GPU identifier says it has a NVS 3100M.  Not sure either of these are right - and in any case I can't find an HP/nVidia driver that will load and the performance tool rate graphics as a 1.0.

 

I'd like to enable the Intel HD4000 graphics and get a driver for that.  Speccy says the CPU is an i-7 3740QM so i think it should have that built in GPU, right ? 

 

Is there a switch on the motherboard or something in the BIOS or am looking in the worng place for the drivers ?

Like many peopleI have problemswith myHP 2013 ultraslim docking station andDisplayPortconnection.

I connect mylaptopelitebook 1041 g1withaDisplayPort to a iiyama ProLiteB2783QSU monitor.When plugged intothelaptop, everything worksproperly,display port1.2and2560x1440.

Bycons,on the docking stationno image isdisplayed on the monitor : black screen. EveryattemptIhear the soundofconnection/disconnectionof anew material, the screenon and offwithout turning onanyimage.WhetherDisplay port1.1 or 1.2on the monitor.

Everything isupdated :
- Firmwaredockstation:2.27.000Rev.A(March 31, 2015)-I had to gotheDP1.1Monitorto get there.
- BIOSlaptop01.33Rev.A(6 November 2015).
- InteldriversRev.W4139(8 April 2015).

I have 2identicalscreensand would like toconnect them tothestation...

I have updated to windows10. But every time my laptop resumes from sleep displays is flickering.
Installing official driver from HP website too resulting the same.

My laptop was working fine this morning then I shut it down for about 3 hours. Now when I try to turn it on nothing happens. It is plugged into the wall and the charge light is on, but it still won't power on.

Have had my new HP Envy for 6 weeks. It has i7 6700HQ processor with 16 MB Ram and uses the Intel 530 graphics (i.e., no discrete graphics). Still receiving the "Intel Graphics stopped working and had been restarted" issue even after two online chats with HP.  Appr 30 events within the 6 weeks (using it maybe 3-4 hours each day).  Am now considering if I should retrurn the PC.

 

First chat resulted in updating driver to 10.18.15.4281 (8/31/2015), Second session tech disabled option in IE to use graphics adapter for rendering web pages.  Neither have worked. HOWEVER, my gut feeling isthat this is a software driver issue between with Intel 530 graphics, 6700HQ chipset and/or Windows 10 and not a hardware issue, thus still hoping for a resolition. Appears HP techs do not know how to fix it. 

 

SO QUESTIONS:

Is this a common issue with all HP ENVY Notebooks running W10? If not, may support returning it.

 

Has anyone who have experienced this issue had any luck in a solution? 

Two things I would like to try are: 

- Install the latest Intel Graphics 530 driver for 6th gen processors as stated on Intel side, which is 15.40.14.4352 (1/28/2016).  Not sure HP install will let me do that.  

- in the registry, change the graphics adapter timeout to 8 seconds. (default is 2 secs). This solution is from Microsoft.

My HP beats audio laptop screen doesnt want to display anything. The power button glows when it is turned on and I can hear it running, but still my screen would remain black. I bought it October 2014, its only been a year and a couple of months that I have it. It also never fell. 
I am not sure what the problem is. Can you guys help me out?

When I am emailing and I am typing the letters they come up delayed in time between hitting the key & when they actually  show up on the screen?   In other words the letters do not immediately appear on the screen the instant they are typed.

Please help, it is VERY FRUSTRATING!

We have 2 of these laptops at our school which don't always connect to data projectors in the classroom. 

 

The VGA cable is always connected before they turn on their laptops, sometimes it picks up the projector as they boot up, others not at all. The user will log into the laptop, but when they try to connect (Windows + P) it says that there is no projector present.

 

They then reboot multiple times, between 2 to 4 times, and then it usually finds the projector. 

 

I've updated driver for the display, both from the HP site and the Intel site. I've also updated the chipset, still no luck.

 

Has anyone else come across this?

As of a couple days ago the screen has stopped coming on. Hooked the laptop up to external display and everything still works, except the tablet screen.

When i turn on my HP Pavilion 15-ak085na the screen does not turn on but it still works as i can still log on it rather annoying as i just bought it two month ago i tried turning on and off it does not work i tried leaving it on for a while so can someone please help me

Hi,
i latly upgrade my windows to 10(64bits), then 

my hp proobook 450 G1 Brightness increase by (fn+f10) & decrease by (fn+f9) don't work anymore.
But i can change sound using the
key [fn+f6] and [fn+f7]
now i need the driver to work it again

I have got a HP pavilion 15-ak009a notebook with GeForce GTX950M graphics card. It also has Intel(R) HD Graphics 530 as I presume there is switchable graphics. We are connected up to a Targus USB 3.0 dual video docking station. So we are connected with a single USB 3.0 cable from the laptop to dock. The software I am running is a 3 screen set up so there are 2 screens hooked up to the dock and the third screen is the laptop itself. Also the software must run off the NVIDA graphics. Can I confirm in this setup the monitors via the dock will be driven by the NVidia card.

 

From looking into device manager and going down to Display adapters there are 2 graphics options;
Intel(R) HD Graphics 530
NVIDA GeForce GTX 950M

Also when I right click on desktop, I have option for NVIDA Control Panel
In the NVIDA Control Panel, there is a Manage 3D settings and in Global settings it indicates that it is in auto-select. There is dropdown option to select High performance NVIDA or Integrated Graphics. I have now selected this to High performance NVIDA and Apply.
Also in Manage 3D settings in Program settings I have added the programme file (.exe) that runs the software and then selected "use global settings (High Performance NVIDA processor) and Apply.

Also in the NVIDA Control Panel, there is a Set Phys configuration.
It is in Auto-Select (recommended) and in a schematic below here it is showing the PhysX connected to the Intel(R) HD Graphics 530 (the 3 screens connected to the Intel(R) HD Graphics 530)
Going to the dropdown, I have selected NVIDA and Apply, but schematic under the dropdown does not show it moved to the NVIDA GeForce GTX 950M. (the 3 screens are still showing connected to the Intel(R) HD Graphics 530 even though it is now showing GeForce GTX 950M in the box above?)

 

I was onto Nvidia and they say based on the screen grabs i sent them the laptop display is attached to the Intel GPU which is expected and its by design but the external two displays are also connected to the port on Intel GPU, not the NVIDIA GPU. So that means that both the external displays are running through Intel graphics card. The display settings are being provided by Intel GPU for all the 3 displays. 
You need to contact the laptop manufacturer and check with them if there is any option to connect the external displays to the NVIDIA GPU.

 

How do you configure HP pavilion 15-ak009a notebook  laptop to use the NVidia GeForce GTX950M  card with USB 3.0 dual video docking station
