I have a HP 2000 (Product # 2000-2b19WM) that has a dim screen. I have to use a light to see the hp display whenever I turn on the laptop. When power on the laptop i hear the ding and then in the middle of the display there is a crazy graphics. Connect to a monitor and the same crazy graphics shows. The computer never boots up to Windows 8. Any suggestions.

flickering screen
Last week the top of my laptop screen started flickering up along the casing. It's just in certain spots along the top, no where else on the screen is being affected nor is anything else acting up. I've tried looking up on what it was and how to fix it but everything I've found the entire screen was the issue and thus unhelpful. I've upgraded some of the drivers and did what I could to try and help it but it's been to no avail.
My laptop going to be a year old either this month or next. My sister's ex who thinks he is good with computers said it was my screen light bar but concindering how he completely destroyed my last laptop when I spilled on it and he helped fix it (half the keyboard on it doesn't work which wasn't a huge issue.) I have chosen not to take his word for it. My dad said try uninstalling some of the updates and I've uninstalled the most resent, again to no avail.
If nothing comes from this my other brother in law recommended taking it to either Best Buy or Office Depot for them to look at it (problem with that is I recently started a new job and won't have any income until later this week.)
If you have a solution I greatly appreciate it and like I said it's just that little tiny bit along the top and it's really just getting annoying and distracting.

Adaptive Display?
Dear Sir/Madam,
I was wondering how to turn off the adaptive display on my notebook. I have changed the power plan settings for my battery and ac mode. I have set the adaptive display option to off and brightness at full for both powersources. I have disabled the sensor service via services.msc but everytime I visit a dark themed website or use a program like Adobe Photoshop or one of the other CC applications the screen will still dimm. It's driving me crazy, I really don't want that to happen.
So how do I fix this?

Folio 1040 G2 with triple monitor not working

I'm using a Folio 1040 G2 with HP 2013 Ultra slim dockingstation.
(All connetions are made to the dockingstation)
Enabling two monitors are no problems and it is also possible to use three screens if I do not use the two displayports. One displayport, one VGA port and the internal display is fine, but as soon as I put in a cord in the other displayportconnector all screens goes black. I've also tried to connect two displayports and one VGA with the same results.
I've already tried this:
Firmware on dockingstation is updated, computer reinstalled, drivers for video updated, mainboard replaced, several dockingstations tested, several monitors tested, tried to change the dedicated graphics memory in BIOS, BIOS updated...
Can someone please help me!?

hp envy 13 QHD display compatible monitor
Hi,
I have an HP Envy 13 with Quad HD+ (3200 x 1800) display. I'd like to be able to occassionally connect my notebook to a monitor. The notebook has the following ports available:
1 HDMI
1 headphone/microphone combo
3 USB 3.0 (1 HP USB Boost)
Is there a compatible monitor that I can connect my notebook to that would allow it to display correctly in the high resolution that it supports?

Display Orientation Option Not Available on HP Pavilion g6-11284x Notebook PC
I have two HP Pavilion g6 Notebooks and I am connecting them to an external LED Television Monitor. I need the monitor to display in Portrait mode but in the Windows Display Settings I am not getting the Orientation option where Windows lets you set this paramater.
I have updated the driver, although the HP site that provides for an updated driver will not actually install and says the driver installed which is an Intel HD Graphics Family one is the best driver for the system. I am running WIndows 7 SP1.
I have read where people have made registry changes on other models to get this to work or use a USB graphics adapter as a workaround.
I am wondering if anyone has found a way around this on this particular model of device.

Brightness Adjustment problem on HP Notebook - 15-ac173tx
Hello,
I am unable to change the brightness of my HP Notebook - 15-ac173tx.
The f2 and f3 buttons don't respond and when I try to adjust by going through 'control panel', 'screen', 'brightness adjust' it doesn't respond either even though if am able to move the cursor on the adjust bar.
Please can you help as my screen is stuck on the brightest setting and is very uncomfortable to look at.

Serious Issue: Pavilion x 2 Detachable Running Windows 10 has Graphics Driver Issue
Problem
I got a Pavilion x 2 detachable for Christmas. I am experiencing a problem with my graphics driver with the tablet/notebook. The screen goes black for 1 to 5 seconds and then it comes back. It reports something along the following lines: "driver was able to recover intel hd graphics r 8.1".
Additional Problems
- HP Assistant on the device is unable to update drivers. It simply reports that installation has failed. No additional information is given.
Attempted Fixes
- PC Reset - I have gone to settings>>recovery>>reset this pc. I have done this process twice and each time the graphics driver issue reappears.
- I have attempted to install graphics driver from Intel directly, but it reports I already have the up to date drivers.
- I have tried using HP Assistant program to update my software and it fails. (BIOS, Bluetooth, and etc. It does not matter)

Anyone have an answer for this? I have the same SPECTRE 13 x2 and need to replace the glass / digitizer. The display is an FHD (1920 x 1080)
Is the digitizer for the Spectre x2 the same as the Spit x2?

enable touchscreen
I just bought an envy. It is an attached keboard that i flip backwards into a table. The touch screen is enabled. When i flip it back a message pops up asking if i want to enable it. I try to touch yes on the touch screen but it does not work and when the screen is in that position neither does the mouse so i cannot use the tablet beyond watching the screen.

Control Zone trackpad won't scroll
My cat sat on my laptop and suddenly the two finger scrolling on the Control Zone trackpad doesn't work anymore. I'm not sure if she somehow turned it off with her butt or if it's just a coincidence, but I'm not sure how to fix it. Help, please!

AMD card undetectable maybe needs bios?

am using HP pavilion dv6-6029tx with AMD 6770M processor
and once while i was playing a game the laptop sudenly frozen and turned off then it turns out that one of my 2X 4GB RAMs
has been damaged so when i sent the notebook to the shop and removed the damaged RAM the notebook worked ...
however the AMD card became totally undetectable and by asking around and around they said its a bios and it need to be
reinstalled and i did download the bios of HP pavilion dv6-6029tx from hp.com but the problem still the same ... and i flashed the bios manually ( by removing the chip from the board and reinstall the bin file ) because installing it normally with insyde flash tool is not possible due to an error says this bios version is not for my HP pavilion dv6-6029tx since i downloaded it from hp.com-HP pavilion dv6-6029tx drivers
then i noticed there are bios drivers types for HP pavilion dv6-6029tx : 1- intell processor 2-AMD processor
and its not mentioned in hp drivers which one is it so i am looking for the bios update for HP pavilion dv6-6029tx ( AMD PROCESSOR ) thinking updating this might be the solution i am looking for or if there is another soultion please help
because my notebook not detecting the AMD card AT ALL!! the device manager in windows shows only intel adapter in display adapters since it used to show both intel and AMD adapters

HP Pavilion 17 connected to 2 external monitors
I have two external monitors connected to my laptop. I want 3 screens, extended. I can't get all three to work, it seems the computer won't allow VGA and HDMI and the native laptop screen to all function at the same time. Why?

HP ENVY latest BIOS update messed up my HDMI port
I had a message in support center app to update to latest BIOS which I did 30 mins ago and my second display was working just fine. After I updated BIOS my HDMI port won't recognize that second display at all, what ever I do it's just not responding. Any help would be much appreciated as I need that second display asap.

notebook touchpad keys click loudly
I bought this new notebook 6 months ago, since the first day I had trouble adjusting to the difficult pressure required to press the Left and Right Touchpad buttons.
They are difficult to press and they click when pressed and click louder when released.
The clicking is annoying, loud and disturbs everyone nearby.
It annoys people in a quiet zone (library) and it annoys people in a coffee shop.
Further, when I go online to HP support chat they don't reply for an hour or more.......I have moved on.
1 is this normal?
2 can it be repaired?
3 can someone tell me how to contact HP ?

hp spectre x2 "intel graphics drivers have stopped responding and has recovered" error
I have a hp spectre x2, I've been getting the error message "intel graphics drivers have stopped responding and has recovered" I've updated the bios via Hp, Updated the Intel Cpu and Gpu with drivers via intels website, I have contacte hp support where they themselves have manually updated my drivers for Gpu and bios, I've resetted my pc and reinstalled the latest drivers, updated to the latest version of Windows. This problem appears to be random, it happens when i'm browsing the web or watching youtube video, it works all fine then my screen freezes for a couple seconds than i get the notification that says "intel graphics drivers stopped responding and has recovered" or i might get a black screen that will shortly return to my last windows/browser. I don't download much, I don't play any games on this machine, I have not installed much soft ware, I have no clue as torwards what to do, I've updated drivers, didnt work, contacted hp support, after that worked like normal than i resumed getting the error notification, i reseted my pc and did the process over agian, manually updated the bios, manually updated the graphics drivers, and i still get the same error notification, i even tried a workaround from forums online that suggested that it might have something to do with tdr. It's hard for me to tell if my problem has been resolved yet due to the fact that it's random, it might appear that my computer is fine but i always get a crash and the error following, am I on the only one? Any one else experincing similar problems?
I have no clue what to do, I'm asumming this is a software issue and would like to know a solution or a work around.

AMD Driver hass stopped responding and has recovered.
i recently purchased a HP Pavilion 15 AB035AX Laptop 3 months back and now the laptop has started to give me display issues. Whenever i start my laptop after several minutes of light browsing and music playing my laptop screen just shuts down and aftercouple of seconds it turns on giving me the message "Your display driver has stopped respondin and has recovered" but after the crash the texts on the screen becomes slightly blur and i have to restart my laptop again to temporarily fix the issue. All my laptop drivers are properly updated. I do very ight gaming just ocassionally. I have AMD raddeon switchable graphics. AMD Driver version is AMD Radeon Crimson v15.12 (latest version of driver). This problem occurs even when i keep my laptop idle for several minutes and come back to use my laptop. Please help me fix this issue. Thanks in advance!
