So Having recieved my New 15t I am dissapointed to find that the pen input is not working I have spent about 9 hours on the phone with support and the short version is I am getting another new computer but it is going to be about 30 days for it to arrive as it is customized, so 2 questions,  given that this feature is a necessity for me,

 

1. can someone confirm that they have a Pen working on a 15t , product P0A43AV or similar, if I am wasting my time I would like to know so I can get a different computer

 

2. Anyone have any suggestions about what to try next as I really need this feature to be working, see list below of things that have been tried

 

Reinstall from factory image

Update Drivers -- Video and Touch pad

Test Stylus on different computer

replace battery in stylus

(When I go into pen and touch settings there is no section for pen)

Skype and HP MediaSmart WebCam software will not recognize my web cam.  Not sure if it started after Windows 10 update or Skype update, but now can't find it in device manager.  Took all windows updates, installed HP support and took all driver updates, but still doesn't work.  When searching HP support, it doesn't appear to show any drivers available for Windows 10.  Please advise

GOT A DV7-6135DX WHEREAS THE DEVICE MANAGER SHOWS TWO DISPLAY DRIVERS -  A STD VGA ADAPTER AND AN AMD RADEON HD 6400M - THE MANAGER SPELLS OUT THAT WINDOWS HAS THE AMD TURNED OFF AS IT WAS TROUBLESOME THUS THE END RESULT IS THAT THE VGA DRIVER SHOWS 2 RESOLUTION SETTINGS, REAL BIG (BOTTOM OF SLIDER) AND NOT MUCH SMALLER (TOP OF SLIDER), ANYHOW THE HIGHEST RESOLUTION RESULTS IN HORIZONTAL ELONGATED ICONS PLUS  FOR INSTANCE A PAGE WITH THREE COLUMNS SHOWS ONLY TWO AND ONE-HALF - (1)AMD DOWNLOAD CENTER DID UPDATE SOMETHING BUT IT DIDNT DO ANYTHING (2) HP HAS A DRIVER DOWNLOAD FOR THE AMD BUT I WAS WAITING TO HEAR EXACTLY IF ITS THE RIGHT ONE- PERHAPS A RESTORATION TO FACTORY SETTINGS MIGHT BE THE FIX ???????????

I want to upgrade the screen to one with 1920x1080. It currently has a 1366x768.
It currently has a 15.6-inch WideScreen (13.6"x7.6") WXGA (1366x768) HD LED Backlit 40 pin LED screen socket.
The one I want is 15.6-inch WideScreen (13.6"x7.6") WUXGA (1920x1080) Full HD LED Backlit 40 pin LED screen socket.
I have a Nvidia GeForce 840m gpu.

I reinstall win 8.1 and now the web camera is not working..

 

I can see it on device manager under IMAGE DEVICES AS = hp truevision hd... but but I have one under other devices as unknow device..

 

I download the youcam 7 but this program is not opening..

 

little history yes the web camera was working before but it was freezing up because we make the mistake to upgrade to windows 10.. so we reinstall windows 8.1 from retail cd. retail box windows.

 

I also have another driver under other diveces call PCI DEVICE but I already download all the drivers that hp suggest and still not working....

 

omg I feel like taking this *&%^%^$$#$% to the trash.. why hp make so complicated??? why?? why???

 

please help me to download the correct drivers..

 

but send the link,, I saw a video and it was a youtube video nothing to do with this problem.. and then someone put to download the sp61031 but from whereeee????

Hi,

 

I purchased my laptop with windows 10.  So gfar so good until I noticed over the past few weeks that once I press the windows button, nothing happens, or when I hover over the icon and attempt to click it.  I've also noticed that the date/battery icons don't show and any thing I have open, whether it be a browser page or word document as an examle, do not show on my task bar which is very frustrating.  I have no idea how this issue has come about but have found websites that try to show how to resolve the issue, but none have helped. 

 

I would appreciate any suggestions.

i have been receving the following error while playing  games:

"Display driver stopped responding and has recovered - Display driver Intel HD Graphics driver for Windows 8(R) stopped responding and has recovered." though im using windows 10

 

i went ahead to delete the old windows 8 installation but the problem still persists.

 

i have tried updating the intel hd display driver..but now when i try updating,i get another error message that says

"The driver being installed is not validated for this computer"

I try to remove the use of the zoom option on my Hp spectre X360 clickpad

 

It works but when I close my laptop, the zoom option always come back.  Is it normal ?

Very often after closing the lid on my Spectre (great machine by the way), the notebook keyboard disables and the only way I can enter is via the touch screen.  The only way I can get the proper keyboard back is by doing a force power off (holding down the on/off switch).

 

I have tried going into options but can't seem to find anything other than 'always ask before switching to tablet mode'.

 

So question is - how do I switch from tablet / screen input to notebook / keyboard input.

Last night after using the laptop, I shut it down.  This morning when turning it back on, the screen remains black.  If I push any buttons, it just beeps loudly.  Ihave tried to reboot but it changes nothing.  This laptop does not have a detachable battery.

I was trying to assist a friend with her tablet and it was lying next to my notebook keyboard as I tried to decipher the serial number of the tablet when I noticed that the display on my notebook had suddenly turned sideways in other words the top was now located at the left of the monitor and nothing indicates how that happened and therefore how to restore it back to its correct orientation.  I tried restarting and shutting down but in both cases the notebook came up with the sideways orientation. Help please!

Hello,

i have a HP pavilion g6 that i used to connect via hdmi to another monitor, it was working fine until yesterday. At a certain point it started to show some small green lines, so i thought it was the cable not plugged in correctly, maybe i moved or something, so i unplugged and reattached it but unfortunately the computer didn't recognize it anymore. The monitor and the cable are ok because i tried with another notebook, hp too, and it worked.

Here's what i tried so far: reboot,  tried another cable, tried to connect to another monitor, unistalled and reinstalled the monitor driver, updated the video card driver, unistalled and reinstalled the video card driver, but nothing worked. 

If anyone could help me it would be wonderful

Hello Hp community.

I've been having two big issues with my HP pavilion 15-ab254sa.

 

1.

 

Ever since I got it (it's three or four weeks old), it makes a 1 second beep randomly while I'm using it, every hour or so.

It sounds like a diagnostic beep from the motherboard, so it's quite loud (and happens even when the audio is muted on the desktop.

 

 

I wouldn't have an issue with it, if I didn't use the laptop in classes - I've got some stares when it makes the beep in a quiet room.

There isn't a pattern to when it happens, it seems completely random.

 

2.

 

I get these two errors every now and then when I'm browsing the internet with firefox, or using windows 10 apps:

- "application was blocked from accessing graphics hardware"

- "Intel Graphics driver stopped responding and has recovered"

 

I think it might be noteworthy that some of the interface on the android emulator I use for my programming work is corrupted graphically, randomly while running it.
I'll try to get a screenshot when it next happens.

So far I've:
- Updated BIOS, and Chipset drivers (all drivers are now up to date)

- Run a UEFI extended boot test. No issues.

- Spoken with HP support several times.

 

I have a feeling these two issues are linked, but I'm not really sure where to go from here.

 Hi!

 I encountered this problem today that I tried to connect my laptop to my external monitor ( in fact TV ) with HDMI cable and didnt have any luck with it.  I tried detecting it and changed screen resolutions but it kind of got messed up somehow. It only let connect only one output at a time so I decide to restart the laptop and it gave me a blue and grey type of screen. At first I thought the GPU failed on me, but I eventually managed to get display on my external monitor. However,  under the screen resolution adjustment, computer thinks my external monitor is actually the laptop monitor and the laptop monitor is the external one ( actually the non generic pnp monitor is my laptop display and the digital flat panel is my external one, but the laptop thinks otherwise ) .

 

 When i booted up the computer, the screen was light grey eventually turning into white with a black vertical stripe like this:
 

 

The adjustment is set to Duplicate in this picture.

 So my question would be if anybody has any idea what's the problem and maybe how to fix it.

My laptop is just over three years old and has developed a screen problem. The screen displays correctly but only at certain case opening angles. When the screen goes blank I have to change the case opening angle until it displays again. Would I be correct in thinking that this is a fractured screen cable?

There are two display adapters in my laptop - Intel HD 4600 and NVIDIA Quadro K1100M. The Intel HD keeps crashing and the error message is "display driver Intel HD Graphics for Windows 8(R) stopped.........".  I wonder if I can safely disable the Intel HD adapter via device manager and just use the NVIDIA? Can anyone give me some pointers?
