Hi,

 

After updating to win10 pro, I can no longer find the option of configure switchable graphics when I right click on the desktop screen. This is very irritating as I cannot play demanding games without it.

 

I installed all the drivers available from Hp website for my Probook 450 G0, but no help.

 

I am having an Intel HD 4000 and a Radeon HD 8750m.

 

HP please!!! I am a loyal customer and now keep being more and more disappointed about your service.  How can you upload drivers that are nor working properly like this? Cant you just check it before giving it to your customers? zzzzzz

I see lots of posts about this problem with the Intel 4600 graphics driver after recent (Dec 2015) update. In addition, when I go through the HP support site, it tells me that my Envy 17 has a nVidia graphics adapter. I am unable to install either the Intel 4600 driver or the nVidia driver. Windows device manager says that only the Intel 4600 adapter is present. There doesn't seem to be any way to manually search the support site to find and download a specific driver when the scan process fails. So now I'm really irritated. Especially seeing that HP has not really addressed any of the complaints I'm reading here on the forum. Suggesting a rollback of the most recent Windows update, or even worse, a rollback to 8.1 is totally unacceptable. HP need to find an answer to this problem and also fix their support assistant automation so that it works.

I finally have my new laptop up and running - used PC Link to transfer programs/files. I keep getting random display driver crashes (black screen), followed by recoveries. I've researched, but the only solutions I find are for Windows 7 (need Windows 10). Help?!?!

My notebook has a Touchpad, with 2 buttons in the bottom. In my mouse settings there are a tab called ClickPad http://support.hp.com/doc-images/275/c04725047.jpg , i cant reach the Touchpad settings that i'm looking for http://support.hp.com/doc-images/1/c04100525.jpg. I installed "Synaptics_v19_0_19_1__C__x86-x64__Win10__Signed__MS_Win10_UXUI_PS2_SMbus" from Synaptics  but no difference. I use windows 10 home.

I just got my HP Spectre x360 and have connected it to a BENQ GW2470 Monitor. It works really well at the start but after a bit of time the monitor starts to become laggy. Only using basic programs and web browing. Any ideas?

The brightness keys (f2/f3) do not work since upgrading to Windows 10. I have to either go into the graphics or the display setting to change my brightness, which is really a pain, when it's dark and I want to dim my display, or otherwise brighten, with the keys on the keyboard. Is this a known bug? Is there a fix?

I see others are having this same problem.  Can you head me in the right direction to fix this problem.

 

I was having a problem with "Display driver stopped responding and has recovered.  Display driver Intel HD Graphics Drivers for Windows 8(R) stopped responding and has successfully recovered."   I contacted HP Support and they ran a BIOS update and removed my NVIDIA driver and installed the Intel HD Driver.  The next morning, the Mute Indicator Lamp won't come on.

 

If you can help, I would appreciat it.

Screen of the HP Spectre x360 4105dx has so much glare and it turns grayish even on a slight tilt. This actually hampers my reading appetite. Other laptops even cheaper ones doesn't have this irritating screen.

 

Can you guys suggest me the solution ? Will Anti-glare screen or Anti-Reflective screen will be decent remedy or shall I return it to bestbuy ?

When using the laptop sometime it will randomly go into sleep mode while in use and then take either a couple of seconds or hours to turn back on even with pressing the power button. I have completely disabled automatic hibernation, sleeping, and even lid closing sleep but still the problem persists. I have not been able to find and specific reason for this problem through software or driver issues leaving me to believe it is a hardware issue.

Hi.

 

 

I have a newly bought HP netbook 15-ac074ne. How can I adjust my laptop display's contrast?

 

 

I can only adjust brightness from one of the function keys. Both my graphics card's softwares (Intel HD Graphics 5500 and AMD Radeon r5 m330) does not show any options to adjust contrast. I find that I can adjust my gamma through calibration settings in Display, but not contrast.

I can't sit and use my laptop too long as the glary display gives me eye strains, adjusting the brightness helps but it only makes things very inconvinient if I am stuck with being able to adjust that alone. Any help to adjust the contrast would be very helpful.

Recently purchased a HP Envy as it can run a lot of the games that I want to play. It was a Windows 8 laptop initially and I upgraded it to Windows 10. My issues is that I can't disable the PalmCheck/SmartSense that prevents you from moving the cursor while typing.

 

I've gone into control panel and tweaked the settings so that SmartSense has all values to turned off/most left slider and gone into the computers mouse settings and set it to 'No Delay' for moving the cursor while typing. Yet it still locks the mouse after every keystroke.

 

I even checked to see if I had the latest software driver for the mouse, and I do. I don't know what else I can possible do and need help resolving the issue.

Further details can be provided if need be.

I've stumbled across a few other forum posts which suggest i'm not alone in this, but there doesn't yet seem to be a fix posted by anyone so asking again in the hope someone may have resolved...

 

I have an HP X360, running a fresh build of Windows 10. All drivers were detected automatically during build, and subsequently updated using Windows Update and HP Support Assistant. All show as fully up to date.

 

Everytime I connect to an external monitor using the HDMI port the laptop crashes. No BSOD, the device just locks up - cursor stops moving, and i'm unable to kick it into life without doing a hard power off / restart. Sometimes it happens immediately, sometimes it can run happily for 5-10 minutes. It makes no difference whether I duplicate, or extend my display.

 

I have no issues running dual screen if I connect via a 3rd party (Startech) docking station.

 

A BIOS Update hasn't help, nor has another suggestion I saw which suggested disabling write caching on the SSD drive.

 

Any suggestions?!

3month laptop

Hello all,

my notebook is this: Compaq 15-s103nl (ENERGY STAR).

After the update to Windows 10 Home x64 (from Windows 8.1 with Bing x64) i have an issue with notebook internal display identification. 

Infact, after the account login, the display becomes black and i can't use my notebook.

The BIOS version is the most recent F.39 (downloaded from HP website).

The Intel display driver was the 10.18.10.4252 (downloaded from HP website), and i tried to update it to 10.18.10.4276 using the Windows Update, but the problem there is yet.

I have execute HP Assistant for all installed software update, but the problem there is yet.

If i press Windows+P buttons, some times, i see a desktop for 1 second.

N.B. In safe mode the display is visible.

Hi all

            i read all articles and posts about my issue related, but did't resoled, my HP Pavilion DV6 Laptop showing Blank Screen, accourding to search and forums i RAM Changed but did't resolved i also used External LCD Monitor but did't get display, then i tried to hard reset that's also is not help ful someone said my Graphic Adopter is dead.... can any one tell me what's issue.

I have a Pavilion laptop with Windows 10 and suddenly cannot extend the display to a projector. When I go in under "Graphics Options" I can click on output to and choose the proper option. But then nothing actually happens and the screen stays blank. I am using an HDMI connection and it works fine with another computer.
