Hello, my name is Juan, I´m new here, I have a HP Pavilion DV7-4077cl with Windows 10 recently installed (previously I had Windows 7 Pro), but I have a problem with the graphics, I have the Intel(R) HD Graphics and AMD Mobility Radeon HD 5470, when installed Windows 10 the computer only recognized the Intel(R) HD Graphics but didn´t recognized the AMD Mobility Radeon HD 5470, so I can´t switch graphics.

 

I readed that it is because of Windows, and a few solved it with reinstalling the drivers or installing new drivers from AMD website, but I don´t know if that is my case.

 

I don´t know what to do, please help

did what you said. Restarted. Now i cant even print in my password. Cant  even get into comp with a mouse. Try to type in pw with a mouse even. Nothing. Now i believe im screwed.

i am using HP Pavilion 15 Notebook PC, i am getting red color doted  on my display recently. i am not able to solve them. i will attach the screenshot of the problem i m facing which would help you to understand my problem correctly , please do help someone.

Still no updated drivers for this machine. Graphics driver is dated 2014.

 

I am getting occasional BSOD and would at least like to try some drivers. When I try to install the current Intel driver it's not supported.

 

No Windows 10 drivers or  any updates for this machine.

HI Team,

 

I bought a new HP Envy 360 from Best Buy on Black Friday and i was eager to unbox my new laptop and when i opened and turned on my laptop the screen was scrambled and i was too broken for that, then i installed all the driver softwares and registered myself and did everything but whenever i turn on my laptop the screen looks scrambled, i need to reboot 3-4 times and close the laptop and open it and after several attempts the screen looks fine, and also whenever it goes to sleep or idle state then also i am getting the scrambled screen.

 

Please look into this and help me.

Hello! 
I just got a new laptop, HP Pavilion Notebook - 15-ab032ax, the one with AMD QuadCore A10 8700 and the so-called The AMD Radeon R8 M365DX config. It originally comes with Windows 8.1. There are serveral problems. I tried to fresh install (after a full format of the entire drive) W10 using flash disk, but the laptop will just restart at around 50% of each installation attempts. I tried to install W7 and after many failed attempts it did installed. I noticed that the graphics performance is very poor, even compared to my older AMD A10 4600m laptop with just Radeon HD 7660G. Company of Heroes 2 - Ardennes Assault runs very laggy, while on the older AMD A10 4600m Radeon HD 7660G runs flawless. Call of Duty - Advanced Warfare runs with unplayable fps, while on AMD A10 4600m Radeon HD 7660G runs decently. I use latest AMD drivers from AMD site.  Whats the problem?

Have been recieving this error on my Envy 15-k163cl laptop when playing Flash Games.  According to Microsoft I need to update/re install the latest grpahics drivers for my Intel 4600 HD.  Checked Support assistant , and microsoft update and nothing shows.  

 

Went on the web to hp.com support page and looked at all the drivers listed for my laptop.  It shows sp72044.exe as the only driver for the intel HD graphics card.  The driver fails to install with a error of "this computer does not meet the required specifications for this driver".  When I look at the readme.rtf file inside the sp72044.exe file it says that this driver is only for the Intel 5500 HD graphics.  Looking at the log file c:\Intel\Logs\IntelGFX.log shows basically the same thing that this is only for the 5500 and aborts the install when it doesnt match the 4600.

 

So obviously you have the wrong drivers listed for this computer.  Can someone at HP provide me with the correct drivers?  Can I just manually install the latest Intel drivers for the 4600?  These drivers are reported to fix the stopped responding messages.  When can we expect an updated HP branded driver?

Many blue lines suddently appeared on the left lower corner of the screen after falling down my laptop. I tried to press them gently but they got bigger. Any suggestions plz?

I have a new HP ENVY 13 windows 10 64 bit and When I put my laptop to work on my legs or any irregular surface the touchpad starts to work erratic and is enable the clicking on the touchpad area. When i put back on a table the problem dissapear. Anyone has the same problem? Thanks

I want to connect my laptop to a monitor, but it outputs the image on my laptop only. Can I make it output the image only to the external monitor on startup? I don't see that option in my BIOS the laptop model is ENVY 15-U210NM.

I have bought notebook HP Pavilion ab225ur. Installed windows 8.1 first and saw that monitor uses hd graphics 5500 not nvidea 940M. I read about Bios config changing but don't have such option in bios 'Switchable graphic mode'. updated on windows 10 but all is the same.

 

Can I do such thing in this notebook? Don't use hd graphics 5500 for monitor and save my RAM for other tasks.

Hi all,

 

I have an hp laptop (pavilion 15, product number: E8Q72EA). I have the problem of getting a black screen after closing the lid or hiting the sleep option. I uninstalled the graphics driver, then reinstall it manually from here (the Nvidia grphics driver) and the problem remained. Then I used the "HP support assistant" tool and found that the driver is up to date. Unfortunitly, the problem is still remaining. The black screan that I get prevents me from controling any thing in the laptop and the it keeps stuck until I press the power botton and restart the laptop again.

Hi all, I bought my last laptop a few months ago and it is still under warranty. the problem that I ask you is this: since a few weeks I noticed white spots on my lcd monitor EC an expert told me named light bleeding, a phenomenon that may result from accidental impact or presence of water. soon I will contact the assistance for more information. do you repair this fault (you notice only on background images only) is covered by the standard warranty? will I have to pay something? how much does it cost repair if will not be protected by the guarantee? Hello; i need HELP with my pavillion g7 Display. I up grade it to WIN 10 and works fine but after that i got an error code 0xc000021a the same make my computer gets weird, doesn't start an throw me to a blue screen that gives me the error and also makes my display screen goes to wide to see the right side end changing screen colors and the graphics look awfull. I did follow some of the instruction gave to someone here and i could make it work but i still have the display wide problem and i can find how to fix it. Please HELP.

Hi, there.

 

I'm one of the many people having an issue with a non-weorking touch screen after Windows 10 upgrade.  I have followed all the instructions about windows updates, HP support assistant updates, and followed the hard reset procedure, until I found this one wrinkle:

 

When I attampt a touch screen diagnostic test is the HP UEFI, I'm not even offered Touch Screen as a component.

 

The implication is that the Windows 10 upgrade has disabled this somehow, because the touch screen worked perfectly under win 7 and 8 and 8.1.

 

Device Manager shows the HID-Compliant Touch Screen as a device.  But touching the screen simply has no effect.

 

What should I be doing now?

My notebook works perfect. The screen is normal when I use Explorer or other things. But when I open a program and see an 'pop-up' of the program it is very very very small. It's almost unreadable. Can anyone help me how to change this to a larger screen? Thank you very much.

Hello, I just created this new account on the HP forums as I have tried everything i could and searched on every topic that I found out there.
Well my problem is weird and I didnt really find anything similar to it. 

 

I have this HP Pavilion 15 Notebook PC with a  AMD Radeon R5 Graphics. I bought it one year ago  and it never had any serious problem. 

This month I had an idea of buying a new monitor to use as a second screen but before buying it I tested if hdmi was working properly with second monitors with 2 different TV's and another pc monitor that I have.

 

But my laptop does not detect these monitors. I always try to keep  spaming the detect button(on screen resolution menu) repetitively. But the weird thing is that I made it work twice but after that never worked anymore. I tried with different cables and different resolutions on my laptop but these wasnt actually the problem. I also updated graphics drivers recently so I dont think it is the problem.

Well I would like to know if anyone knows what the problem is or if my hdmi port is actually broken or any other thoghts. Thanks.
