Dull icons on the desktop screen and dull photos.
My icons on the desktop are dull. Did a system restore just in case something was changed.
Also all my photo are dull.

Laptop display goes from high to low and back randomly.
I recently purchased a HP Pavilion 15-n010us notebook. I am having issues with the backlight dimming from low to high and vice versa contantly. This issue persists regardless of power source or ambient light. Does this model have an automatic dimming sensor for the backlight? If so, how can I disable it. If not, do I have an issue/defect with notebook's backlight?

HP Envy 15-j001er
I update my windows 8-64bit to win 8.1-64 and have a problem with intel hd graphics, very often driver views error notification that driver stopped and recovered. When i'm playing games such as counter strike warcraft windows use hd graphics, not a nvidia chipset. I tried up to date my drivers and windows crash down when booting up, it became to start recovery and recovers from last point of recovery os. What problems?

Install AMD driver for Radeon HD 6770M in windows 8.1 for HP dv6 6121TX
Hello, I just upgrade my OS from Win 7 to Win 8.1. I got all drivers except AMD radeon HD 6770M graphics driver.
I tried installing the old driver for Win 7 but that didn't work. I tried auto detect tool from AMD site. But after downloading, it says "Not supported". I tried the drivers from HP support web page as well. But all of them have failed to install thedriver properly.
Need help on this. Can anybody please help.

why doesn't the touch screen my envy touchsmart 15 work?
I have a Envy touchsmart 15 and have had it for about 2-3 months. Up until now the touch screen has worked but now it no longer does, and under system info it is telling me that it's not a touchsmart. I would like to know what's going on here, and how to get the touch screen working again. Thanks

No Imaging device found in device manager windows 8 and bad CS support of HP
Hi I am so mistreated by HP Customer service that i dnt know where to complain.
I have HP Envy DV6 Notebook PC with International warranty. Its camera was working properly in first 2 months but it stopped working all of a sudden and no Imaging device is shown in device manager. I bought this from HP pakistan and now am in Canada. I called Canadian HP support but they said that they only entertain people who buy laptop from Canada.
If that is so, then why HP claims to give international warranty and they shouldnt be called multinational.
Is there anyone to help me out.

HP 14-b124us has white screen in certain positions
After opening up the laptop and hitting the power button, the laptop shows a white screen.
After I open and close the lid (move it back and forth) a few times, I can position it where the screen works fine.
Seems like a faulty/unreliable connection to the display?
What solutions do I have in that case?

Screen is flashing in game

I have a problem with graphic in game Assassins´s Creed II. When I´m playing, my screen is flashing, and I can´t play. See it in this video, I have this same problem: Youtube
I upgraded last month my Windows 8 to 8.1 and then all drivers to lastest version, graphic driver card too. My notebook: HP ProBook 4540s (Win8.1), Graphic card: AMD/ATI Radeon HD 7650M with newest driver.
I tried game Alan Wake but there wasn´t this problem, only in Assassins creed 2. I didn´t try other games of AC, only AC2.
Please help me, what can I do.

Graphics card not working need help!! ATI
I am in need of urgent help my graphics card wont work even when i install ccc... ok let me eplain how this happened...
Ok i bought my laptop (Hp pavillion dv6 i3 - ATI Mobility radeon premium graphics with windows 7 professional), after a while i got bored of windows 7 so i installed windows 8 ... windows 8 (32 bit) i couldnt install the graphics card driver or ccc on windows 8 and got anoyed so i used the disk that came with my hp laptop and i reinstalled windows 7 professional...
i installed hp tools etc.. using its disk and tried to install ccc & all the ati drivers when i install ccc it either installs and when i restart my pc my screen starts flashing when the pc turns on every now and again, and in ccc it shows 0x0 desktop area. ... also i tried many other versions of ccc sometimes it doesnt even work or install i installed dot net framework aswell.
Please could someone help me it used to work before i installed windows 8

Owner of HP Pavillion g6 laptop. Have owned for approx 1 year. A month or so ago the attached monitor display stopped working. I have discovered that I can attach an external monitor and still utilize the laptop, but without the use of its attached screen. I have gone into the monitor settings page, only to see that the computer believes it is running two screens and not one, this without any display on its own screen. Any help to correct this issue would be greatly appreciated.

HP G6-1050EX Radeon driver problem
Hi there,
I was recently asked to repair a friend's computer and have gone through reinstalling windows twice because of this issue and it has showed its face once again.
The issue has to do with the Radeon driver. Everytime I install it, when I reboot, it shows me the HP logo and bootloader and even the Windows 7 loading screen but soon after that, the screen just turns off (yes, even the backlight). I could not find a way around this issue except going to SafeMode and uninstalling the driver from Device Manager and then normally booting back.
I downloaded the driver from the official HP site ( If you have trouble finding it, go to the Middle Eastern version of this website). I installed a lot of applications for my friend and decided to try the older version of the driver to see if it worked. Unfortunately when I tried it and restarted, the same thing happened except this time I coudln't go in to SafeMode even though technically I was there.
The resolution and sizes of all the components (taskbar, windows, etc...) have become impossible to use.
What can I do to resolve this problem without reinstalling? And if I do reinstall, how do I install the driver properly?
