The button to control the screen brightness stopped working more after I've upgraded my laptop to windows 10, and the issue still continues even I tried to tune the brightness from the control panel.
Any solutions to this problem are welcome.
I have recently bought an HP notebook ( model HP 15-ac 118TU) on 26th October, 2015. It came with FreeDOS 2.0 but I have installed Windows 7 ultimate(64 bit). I have successfully installed all the drivers. A problem which I have noted recently is with the display brightness. When the notebook is on battery power, its brightness increases in stages (flickers) when an application is opened. The brightness is a little increased as compared to the brighness of the screen when desktop is ther( no application opened). Similarly, when I exit an application and reach the desktop, the brightness decreases in stages. This happens only when notebook is on battery power.It does not happen when it is working on direct AC. Is it a normal thing in HP notebooks or is there some problem with my notebook display?

I updated my laptop to window 10 from window8, After that my keyboard brightness keys are not working and even in display option, there is no brightness option.
I'm having the known nvidia 8400 gpu failure problem. Once the laptop is turned on, I hear 1 long and 2 short beeps, indicating there is a graphics card issue. I've tried the blanket heating solution, but it didn't work. Re-soldering is not an option, I don't have the right equipment or adequate knowledge.
I was wondering if an external gpu would make it possible to use an external monitor. By that, I mean to connect an external graphics card to a usb port, automatically bypassing the built-in nvidia.
Will something like that work?
The touch screen on my HP Envy Laptop (m7-n011dx) is cracked. Is it possible to replace the touch screen with a standard, non-touch, screen? I do not need the touch screen and would actually prefer something more durable.
If yes, can someone point me to the proper non-touch screen replacement part number?
If no, can someone confirm the correct touch screen part number?

can i install a graphics card into this computer. it is lacking very much there and i want to upgrade the graphics. for games such as fall out i see some where in the manual it talks about switchible graphics for a nvida card. is it doable with this computer

i can not play video games becouse during the installation of my new windows 7 my dedicated video memory when to 0mb and so i can not more play anything even with the graphic drivers downloaded from this web site my video memory is still 0mb please i need help to regain all my graphic carts capacity

so i checked the setting/display and lock rotation of display is on and i cant change it

I bought a HP Stream that was refurbished by Argos returns a month ago. When I turn it on the power light/caps lock come on steady and the display is blank though it lights up. The mouse appears/moves. Flight mode can be turned on/off and I can adjust the brightness. The display is just blank. Is the unit broken? Ta for any advice!!

i have down graded from 8.1 to vista,wirless drivers where able to update from hp driver support,
this is under display adapters.

Its been a while since the integrated webcam stopped working. OS that time was Windws 8. I have tried most of the solution I could find on the web and this forum. Camera is not recognised in the device manager. If I restore using HP restore it starts working. But after a while it just stops working.
I hoped after upgradin to Windows 10 it might start working but NO, its still not working.
Any solutions, suggestions.

My screen starts to roll then freezes however if you grab the screen and move it just right it comes back for a moment then starts all over again. I have found that pressure on the right cornes stops it?? What do I need an where do I get parts please?
