Hello, when I connect my AOC F22 external monitor via HDMI to my Spectre, the computer nearly freezes and the monitor doesn't come on.
Thoughts?

HP display drivers
I would like to get some adequate information about what is going on with HP provided display drivers for my PC.
I installed the AMD package (which includes Intel drivers too). After that I couldn't start any application with "High performance" mode (they either crashed or gave some graphics-related errors) All apps worked with "power saver" mode. (And yes, i do know how to uninstall old drivers and install new ones). HP clearly stated that "don't install any standalone drivers" however this is the only way I can ever use my AMD graphics card. Is this my bad or HP doesn't put much effort on support for low-grade laptops?? Now that I installed drivers from Intel download center and AMD download center, my AMD card works, but im not even sure if i can use it's full capability since the drivers are not from HP.

my 6 month old hp laptop suddenly developed a line down the exact centre of the screen. How can I get rid of it? It appears to be one pixel wide.

Reset my desktop yesterday working fine last night today at switch on a black screen with a movable arrow via mouse checked all connections. Any ideas?

touch screen
My touch screen is only working intermittently. I have tried the steps on this troubleshooting document - http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c03488148 - up to the touch screen diagnostic test. I tried this step and there wasn't an option to run a touch screen test.

External monitor goes regularly goes black
Hi,
I have an HDMI connection to my external monitor, and regularly during normal use the external monitor will flick to black two or three times then be ok again for a while. It stays black anywhere from 5 to 20 seconds, with the monitor saying "no input" for the longer periods, then it comes back, and will be ok for a while. Can happen multiple times per hour.
This behavior also happend when I hooked to a flat screen TV with an HDMI cable, so assume it's not the external monitor.
Does this mean my external video adapter is going bad? Should I try to update the driver?

Blank Screen
I have a blank screen when I start up my HP G72. The fan runs and lights on the keyboard work. I have tried the hard reset without the battery and still nothing. I would like to connect the computer to my tv to see if that works but have read that settings in the control panel need to be changed for this to work. So I am now stuck and would appreciate some advice. Thanks.

Screen Problem
Hi from about to weeks the screen in my computer i dont know how to describe it but i think the word for ot is flashes beacuse it looks like when you break the screen in your phone and the screen has all this crazy colors, and this happens when ive been using the computer for 15-20 minutes and stops when i move the lid of the screen back and foward, it also happens momentarily when i move the screen to adjust the angle i dont know what is causing this and i fear that eventually it will damage the screen permanetly.
i will aprecciate any help

Screen brightness problem
I bought this laptop in june 2014. I have Radeon HD 8670M graphics card. My graphics card got updated a month before. Since then my screen brightness options is totally gone from my laptop. F2 and F3 buttons are not making any brightness changes in the laptop. There isn't any options available for screen brightness in Power Options app. A lot of problem is being faced for brightness. Please help!

Brightness display issue (Brightness high even though keys work)
So earlier the brightness level would not go lower than halfway when using the keys on keyboard (F2 and F3). I updated the driver and restarted my laptop. Now the issue that I am having is that althought the brightness meter when using the keys is all the way down, the brightness itself on the screen is high, which is eating up battery.
How can I resolve this problem?

NVidia GeForce 840M code 43, Intel HD Graphics 4600 driver problem
Hi.
Initially I had problem only with NVidia driver on Windows 10. It didn't work with code 43 message. I tried to reinstall driver several times but without success.
After upgrading Windows 10 on 14th of November I faced another problem - driver for integrated graphic chip didn't not work too. Furthermore this driver is not installed even. After try to install it OS didn't not start at all and showed only black screen. I had to enter to safe mode and delete this driver to have working OS, working without all video drivers. Eventually I had to revert upgrade and currently I have only integrated video chip only again.
My questions is how to solve problems with drivers. Is it only my personal problem or problem of drivers for my model of Notebook?
When I had got Windows 10 upgrade at the beginning of August I thought it was a temporary problem with drivers and it would be fixed. But it does not seem so now after 3 months waiting.

spectre - display drive stops working and recovers HD Graphics 520
I have a brand new Spectrex360 Windows 10 computer. According to System, the graphics is HD Graphics 520.
I continue to receive a message a few times a day that says:
Display drive stopped responding and has recovered
Display driver Intel HD Graphics Drivers
Then, the screen goes blank with a dark blue color.
i am wondering if this is something that I can fix, or if I should I return the computer to the store for a new computer.
I am running Firefox as my browser, and Google is my search engine. However, this primarily happens when i am writing an email.

cannot control sleep time
I have been fighting this problem for some time and have tried multiple suggestions found on the forums.
The Laptop goes to sleep after only 2 or three minutes of inactivity.
I have set the screen saver to none and unchecked the box On resume, display logon screen. since doing this I now do not have to logon each time this occurs.
My power settings in Windows "Power & sleep" are -
battery, screen 10 min. PC sleep 30 min
plugged in, screen 30 min. PC sleep 30 min
Power settings in the Control Panel, Power options, under chose or customize a power plan, and using the Balanced option, show the same as above.
I have tried multiple other plan options on this laptop and cannot resolve this issue.
As I said it goes to sleep in less than 5 minutes.
I did not have this porblem on either Windows 7 as ariginally shipped or on Windows 8.1 that I used for 2 years prior to upgrading to Windows 10 over a month ago.
Hope someone can help me here???

Blue Screen of Death
Blue screen error says that an attempt to reset the display drivers and recover from timeout failed. It says to disable BIOS memory options such as caching or shadowing.
I occasionally get the blue screen when I try to open jpeg files that are on my hard drive. This started to happen when I went bact to Windows 7 from Windows 10. My external monitor no longer worked when connected to the USB port replicator docking station. It's not recognized. I must connect it directly to the computer port. I'm not sure all these issues are related. I have copied the full blue screen text if that would help.
I've reinstalled many system updates from the HP download site, but I still get the blue screen.
I ran the HP Advanced System Diagnostics 4.2.5.0 and passed all tests. However, I could not update the BIOS. I have a BIOS date of 01/21/2013 REV F.0C.
When I restart the computer in Windows normal mode everything works.......for a while.

Client Complains that the Laptop comes ON but the screen is not displaying anything (dark and blank). Connect an external monitor, still nothing happening.

Update to BIOS caused HDMI Port to stop working
This morning HP Support Assistant offered 4 updates.
I updated the Notebook System BIOS (Softpaq number: SP73290 Version F.21Ap1) and the HDMI port for the second display stopped working.
When I tried to update the NVIDIA High-Definition (HD) Graphics Driver (Softpaq number: SP72727 Version: 10.18.13.5384Ap15) that installation failed.
Please help me restore the HDMI port.

i have one problem my screen from envy 6-1000ev not turn on but the laptop work is fine i connect HDMI to tv and work.
But the screen is fine because i connect the screen to other laptop and is fine (work)
after (i buy new) changed the flex cable to lcd and nothng.
the webcam work is fine.
