I have the NVIDIA graphics card installed on my system and have installed the latest drivers. But my display seems off somehow (type larger than it should be; zooming in and out doesn't quite fix) it. I ran "dxdiag" diagnostics, and it tells me that my "display" is running with "microsoft basic display driver," not NVIDIA. But my "rendering" is operating with the NVIDIA card.

I am suffering the same issue as the people above. I Have a HP Pavilion X2 10.1-inch Detachable 2 in 1 Laptop and when it gets to about 48% the screen starts to Flicker and flashing (vertical lines in mutiple colors, just like the other people) . It does this mostly when I watch a videos at lower then the above battery present. Note - it operates totall fine when plugged in and charging, also note my device is quite new and is still covered under manufacture warrenty.

My notebook touch screen has a crack on it. everywhere, many lines, I still can use it and it works perfect(no the touch). the crack is only on the touch screen glass. and not the lcd screen the lcd screen works fine. i am trying to find a replacement touch screen glass but cant find one anyplace. and i don't see a part number for it in the owners manual.
has anyone had this problem before? or does anyone know where i can purchase a replacement glass for it?

I had to buy a new monitor and got a Samsung S27E310H. When I connected it to my HP laptop via a KVM switch, the quality of the text on the screen was terrible. I have done everything I know how to correct it. My laptop is a Pavilion dv6 with Windows Homr Premium 8. What can I do to fix the problem?
My other computer connected to the monitor via the KVM is an old HP Pavilion Elite 9280a, with the same operating system, and it produces an excellent picture/text on the new monitor.
My laptop has a broken screen. I have been connecting it to one of two external monitors, one with an HDMI cable, the other with a VGA cable. Recently, both monitors are not receiving signals for some unknown reason. I was instructed to remove the RTC battery for 15 minutes.That had no effect other than making the screen black and causing the caps lock and number lock keys to blink.
Any suggestions on what I might try? I find it highly doubtful that both connection ports would fail simultaneously,
I have a Pavilion dv8t-1100 laptop with a blank screen, I was able
to respond to prompts blindly and get it booted up and connected
to a TV. While trying to set it to work on a projector the computer
froze and had to be restarted and I cannot guess what inputs are
are required to get it booted up again to show on the TV.
Can anyone tell me what inputs I should put in to get it booted up again?
Sometimes it turns on with a beep and sometimes without.

Laptop has been working fine until tonight. Used it once when I got home. Closed the screen has I have always done. Came back and hour or so later, opened the screen, computer started up but the screen was blank like there was no power to it. Got on my phone and did the hard reset by removing the battery and it seemed to work.
Several hours later same problem again. Did the reset again and it worked again.
I am just tired of doing the reset and I dont think I should have to do it several times a day. Is there anything else I should try?
I recently purchased an HP Envy 24 IPS Monitor to go with my HP Envy laptop. I selected this monitor because of the built in speakers. However, I cannot find a way to make the speakers work. I'm connected with an HDMI cable and my computer is running Windows 10. Help!
lost the video clarity
Since installing Win 10 I have lost control of screen brightness. Microsoft stated it is because HP has not updated the drivers for W 10 necessary to rectify this.
Is this true?

battery charged fine bur I get no keyboard lights or start light...
unplugged n held start down for 15 secs,,,still nothing
unplugged n held start key down for 60 secs...still nothing...

I updated my computer to Windows 10 and its been an aggreviation ever since. I have googled and binged til im just blah.
My HDMI was hooked to my tv and worked just fine til I updated it, now it doesnt work at all and isnt even showing up in anything. I went to HP site they ran a scan said all my drivers were up to date and nothing was needed. yet it still doesnt work. If I cant get it fixed im going back to 7.
Can anyone help at all? Im not dumb, but not the brightest in the bunch so i will need sorta step by step kinda thing.

Hey guys, just bought my gaming omen laptop as i was pluging it in to my monitor, because when im home i perfer playing with a 23 inch monitor, the resolution is not very good i found out the HDMI is connected to an intel graphics cards and not to the GTX Nvidia, is there anyway to change it? or be able to connect HDMI to GTX? if not im going to have to return the laptop.
