Hp Spectre x360 multiple external monitors using displayport

$

I was wondering whether the new x360's supported connecting 2 monitors via the one mini displayport using the multistream transport feature of displayport 1.2.

The model I'm specifically looking at is the core i5 6200u HP Spectre x360 13-4112TU

The intel spec for the processor states that it supports 3 displays, and the spec sheet for the Spectre states that the displayport version is 1.2, but the only mention in the user manual to multiple displays is one through the hdmi port and one through the mini displayport. So this has lead me to the question of whether it actually supports it.

If anyone can confirm this it would be greatly appreciated.

Regards

Robert

Screen flicker

Scren flicker - still a problem with HP. Phoned HP support. Talked through software modification which turned off two off two software programs. Still happens. Pointer goes all over the place on its own accord. Leaps about and starts program ad hoc. Intermittent, does not happen all the time. Ghosting on the LH side tool bar. Paid for an extra two year guarantee through **bleep** Smiths. Took the machine back for them to return to HP. Would not believe me because it did not occur when they booted the system up. Insisted that I give them my login and password! Very disappointed  and will ensure that noboddy I know buys an HP. HP admit that there is a fault and do something. You only have to look at the internet pages

I have an HP Spectre x360 (13-4009TU). I have been trying to use screen mirroring on my Sony Bravia TV kd-65x8500c. When I use the screen mirroring option on the TV and try to connect the laptop, both devices seem to recognize each other but eventually connection fails.

I have tried it multiple times.

Can you please help

Black screen after Windows Logo, while booting on battery

I am working on this Probook 650 G1 and it will boot up fine into Windows 7 / 64 on AC or battery if I am just using the VGA (I assume Microsoft) driver, as soon as I install the latest Intel Graphics for the HD 4600 video (and I have tried several different versions, both newer and older) the PC will boot fine into Windows when on AC power, but will stay at a black screen with the backlight on if I try to boot the PC on battery power.  This has happened with both 32 bit and 64 bit Win 7 Pro.  WHen you start the PC on battery power you see the HP bios screen and then the Windows logo with the 4 colors floating into place, then the cursor disappears from the screen it sits blank with the backlight on.  I have updated the Bios to 1.33 and I also tried the newest chipset driver from Intel, but it would not install, I am assuming that HP tweaks their drivers for their specific products.  I have googled these symptoms, but I cannot find anything useful.

I was thinking of trying Win 10, but I am seeing a lot of post's where Win 10 has video issues as well.

I started over with Win 7 / 64 so there are no MS updates to interact with and I still get the same results with or without the Intel driver as I have explained above.

Not sure if there is anything else to try besides maybe trying a new Motherboard, but this really seems like software to me.

Any ideas?

CyberLink You Cam problems

I downloaded Windows 10 I received an error message on my desktop and could not get out of it.  I took it down to a computer store and told them I didn't want Windows 10 anymore, please put Windows 7 on.  They called to tell me they could not find Windows 7 on my computer...I told them I want Windows 7, so they put on Windows 7 Home Premium.  I tried everything out and things worked great and still is working great until I tried the Cyber Link You Cam...it does not work it comes on and there is no picture of 'me' just of my desktop.  If I take a picture it takes a picture of my desktop.  I have uninstalled it from the uninstall page.  I came to HP to reinstall it and it is doing the same thing.  So I went into the 'start'  'recovery' 'recovery manager' and 'drivers and app to reinstall and nothing is there about Cyber Link You Cam.  So, I went and look through everything and it comes up that it is called Lenvore camera (I don't believe this is the same as Cyber Link You Cam)  I did not uninstall that because I am afraid I will really mess things up.  So I came back on to HP support and drivers and it states I need about 15 new drivers to be installed....should I download all of these drivers and then try to install Cyber Link You Cam again?  The first time when I downloaded it it stated that I coudln't download it and I needed to uninstall it (which I did) then I re-install it and it still does not work.  I am not in a dier need of a You Cam, but it did come with my lap top 5 years ago and it worked all this time, until I installed Windows 10 then uninstalled Windows 10 and re-installed Windows 7......I did call the computer place and they stated that they had nothing to do with the cam....I told them I believe when you uninstall Windows 10 you uninstalled everything?  They said yes.....but they stated they will not look at my lap top without charging me again....also.....they said they never checked if the cam worked......I am 67 years old trying to figure this out.....but it isn't working......can anyone out there help me?  I appreciate your time......you can post here or at my e-mail address........  (removed content)   Thank you.

Laptop screen won't boot, when I click the power button the screen doesn't power on, but the wifi button turns orange for a second then goes off. I have unplugged the power cord, removed battery and held the power button for 30 seconds to a minute hundreds of times and it doesn't make a difference. I am a complete novice with laptops and I have only had this laptop a couple of months so I am very frustrated that this has happened. So any help would be HIGHLY appreciated.

line in screen on startup

just purchased this new limited edition star wars laptop 2 days ago and recieved in the mail today. upon attempting to setup laptop, plugged in battery and then power cord and turned on, creen only had black and white lines vertical and horizontal and change with what would normally be showing on screen. i have attempted to get support online to no avail because site does not want to take my model number for unknown reason. have attempted calling sustomer support multiple times and have been redirected to another number and then they redirect me back again. getting very annoyed with attempting to get support for a BRAND NEW product that i just purchased from hp online. i do not see how it is this hard to get support for a product. i am currently very disappointed with this support system. technicial support was no help at al with getting a repair case started and that was when i was redirected. i have performed a hard boot multiple times and has yet to get better. im not a computer genious but i believe this is a connection issue within the computer case.

HP Zbook 15 Triple Monitor Setup

$

I just got my zbook 15 G2 which came preloaded with Windows 7 Pro but did the upgrade to windows 10 as we are in the process of testing before deployment. I already have a setup of 3 Asus 24" monitors that I used with my previous setup (Elitebook 8470p). I installed the new dock that I got with it and put the zbook onto the dock right before the upgrade to windows 10 and it recognized all three monitors and immediatly started displaying as one would expect. So I ran the the upgrade and afterwards I have yet to get my setup to display to all three monitors.

They are connected via a DVI, VGA, and a Display to vga adapter cable (display is in the back of the dock, vga portion in the monitor). I have noticed that it pushes out through the DVI and display adapter only and the VGA stays dormant even if unplugging any of the others. But when looking at the Nvidia control panel it shows as if the vga and DVI is pushing and the displayport is doing nothing.  But it is in fact the VGA that is not working... Any Ideas? Setup is below...

My Setup:

Zbook 15 G2

i7 4810MQ

8 GB Ram

1 TB HDD

Nvidia quadro k1100m-- 2.00GB GDDR5

HP 230W docking station A7E34AA

HP USB Port Replicator Won’t Recognize HP Monitor

I have a Pavilion dm4t Beats Edition (dm4t 3000 CTO) with Windows 7 and a HP USB media port replicator & docking station with an HP 2011 monitor. Everything worked fine for years. I upgraded to Windows 10 and everything was still fine. Didn’t like 10 so I uninstalled it per Microsoft and reverted back to 7. Docking station monitor port no longer recognizes the monitor. I have to plug it directly into the computer. Everything else connected to docking stator works fine.

Hi there,

So, the trouble I have with my laptop seems to be a common for HP, my webcam stopped working. The laptop does not recognize it nor does it turn on when I lauch skype or youcam.

My webcam was working fine even 2 months ago when I did an online interview.

What can I do, without buying a software or making unnecessary changes to my laptop that will further damage it?

I need to have a webcam for the fact that is how I interact with my clientals.

Thanks
