Hi I am facing a problem with my laptop that after startup it works accurately but after 30-45 minutes its display goes blank while other processes (e.g audio and fan sound, usb etc) seems to be working properly. immediate restrat also goes invain to get back the display. It gets back the Display when it is restarted after putting it off for at least half an hour. i suspect it might be some issue with the strip connecting the display.
Is there anyone facing the same poblem or knows how to troubleshoot it .

VGA No Signal
when I plug in an external monitor (HPw17e) the monitor reads VGA no signal and goes into sleep mode. This had worked in the past and did not require anything except plugging it into the VGA slot. Tried different cable. Tried different monitor. The PC recognizes the monitor when i click "detect"

Black Screen on HP ProBook 4340s
Hi all,
My probook 4340s laptop can't display anything when started. Just in the morning, got it out of the bag and powering it on does not display even the BIOS. When i turn it on, it starts and even plays the 'windows startup sound' but nothing on the screen. All i can recognise is a dim windows log inside the black screen on start up. Even when i connect it to an external Mornitor or projector, nothing comes up.
I have tried resetting it but that didn't solve the problem

video player is not working in windows 10
After updating my lap top from windows 8.1 to windows 10, I cannot play any video. I dowloaded windows media player and vlc and the problem continues, I mean, the video cannot be played. What can I do? Do I need to restore the previous media player from windows 8.1?

Switchable Graphics Issue
Specifications:
1. Laptop - HP 15-ac173TX
2. Switchable Graphics (Dynamic)
3. AMD Radeon R5 M330
4. Intel(R) HD Graphics 5500
I am not able to change my AMD settings for certain programs which I use with graphics. It seems like the settings are fixed. There is also a padlock icon next to the Graphics Setting status column. The icon cannot be clicked (left and right). The same is true for any place along that row.
When I open up the AMD Catalsy Command Centre, there is a lock appearing next to the software which I would like to have its graphics setting changed. However, I am not able to get rid of the lock so that I am able to change the settings from "Power Saving" to "High Performance".
This is despite setting both preferences on plugged in and battery to "Maximize Performance" .
What am I missing here? What do I need to do?

AMD Radeon HD 8510g Graphics Problem
I'm using HP Beats 15-p007au laptop with
Processor: AMD A8 5545M
Ram: 8GB
GPU: AMD Radeon HD 8510G
Hard Drive: 1TB
From past few weeks I'm facing a weird issue while playing any game on my laptop whenever I play a game in full resolution of 1920X1080 (which is my default resolution) it works full screen but to increase the FPS whenever I reduce the game resolution to any other eg. 1024x768 my game window become small as per resolution and a black box appear on all sides of the game window. I checked in every game and in each game the full screen option is enable but the game won't run in full screen.
I tried different methods like changing my system resolution to small (same as game resolution) but still the same problem.
I tried installing windows 10 (fresh install) but still same problem so I downgrade to Windows 8.1 (fresh install) but nothing is fixed.
I updated my video drivers from AMD website and I have the latest Catalyst Control Center (15.201.1101) and I checked video card drivers from device manager and it says I have the latest drivers installed (Driver Date: 6-Aug-15)
Is there any solution available I should try or is it the end of the my graphics card.

HP Pavillion 15 Grahics Card Issue
I have a Pavillion 15 that I bought only 13 months ago and the graphics card seems to be having issues.
I get random black boxes and jumbled images on my screen whether I'm in Google chrome or Firefox. I've been using HP computers for nearly 15 years, never had an issue until now. To say I'm disappointed that a laptop I bought just over a year ago is having this kind of issue is an understatement.
I use my laptop for business, so as I'm sure you can understand, I need to get this resolved as soon as possible. What is the solution?

I am having the sam problem. I have Windows 10 on mine. I did the troubleshooting solutions of setting the compatibility to Windows 8, and that did not help. The solutions given do not work. The only solution is to BUY their update.
Can I put on a different program instead?

booting up freezing after AMD graphics driver installed
Hi
recently I have formated my hard drive, even the recovery part (because suddenly windows 7 did not want to boot up, and also the fan error occured, which I have repaired by taking my laptop appart and wiping of the dust, the PROBLEM OF NOT BOOTING UP continued, so I switched the hard drive}. . Then I normally installed Windows 7 on a completely new hard drive.
Everything is ok except, evrytime I install AMD graphics driver ( tried this at least three times, by reinstalling windows again and again}, after reboot, it wont boot up pass the windows 7 loading screen.
It just freezes on a startup screen. - and yes I have installed chipset drivers and recommended drivers FIRST - before installing AMD driver - from http://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/selfservice/HP-Pavilion-dv7-Entertainment-Notebook-PC-series/5082216/model/5141801
Cant even run in safe mode, which also freezes on startup ....
So I am assuming, that there has to be something wrong with the AMD driver.
Any advice please ?

I tried to play Fallout 4 with this but the game was laggy, and I think it may have to do with the Graphics Card

DVD does not play correctly
Hello experts,
Last year I purchased an HP Pavillion 15 notebook but had not used it to play DVD until last night. When I inserted the DVD disc, the computer only gave me a bunch of files, I assumed they were the movie clips. When you play DVD on a TV screen, you see the Main menu and other options like subtitles or movie scenes that you can select to start. But I could not see these selections on my computer screen. However, at some point, they did show. When they showed, I was not able to click them. Basically I could only click Start Arrow to start the whole movie, if I stopped and wanted to select certain scene from the middle of the movie, I was out of luck and unable to do it. At lease three times, the DVD stopped playing and indicated an error had occurred then I had to restart the whole thing again.
Frustrated, I took out my old Dell Windows XP laptop and played the DVD disc there. My old machine actually had everything I wanted, it had a control panel with all the buttons for Play, Pause, Stop, Rewind, Forward and Sound Volume, etc. It worked as a TV and listed all the options/movie scenes that I could select on whatever I intended to choose.
I have a hard time to believe that a one-year-old Windows 8.1 has fewer functions than an old Dell XP. Is there any setting I did not toggle on? Does anyone have any idea what is not set correctly?

HP Envy M6-1232sa Switchable Graphics Issue
Hi,
Certain programs and software simply cannot detect my dedicated AMD Radeon 7600M series card, and defaults to my Intel HD integrated graphics. I have tried everything, including contacting the software publishers, who claim that the issue lies with the manufacturer and not them (HP).
Instead of pointing fingers at who is to blame I would like a concrete, working solution from HP.
I have already tried all of the following, and more, to NO affect:
Updated both the Intel and AMD drivers to the latest (beta) versions.
Set the applications to 'High Performance' in the switchable graphics.
Gone into the BIOS and tried to look for an option to switch from Dynamic to Fixed graphics (There isn't such an option)
If you need more information please let me know, and continue to chase up the issue. I have brought this up MANY times with HP and it has either gone without response or not been solved at all.
