HP Pavilion 15PC00
Have a HP Pavilian 15PC00 desktop, 13 month old. Have it hooked up to a 22 inch monitor since the laptop was new, In the lasr several day when I start the desktop both desktop and monitor will start but after a few seconds they both turn black and them on again several times. When using only laptop it is OK. Bought a n ew monktor and it only does this 4 or five time. It worked ok for about 13 months. I have problem with my eyesite, Am I overloading the computer and is their a solution witxhou buying a new computer.

Screen Broken on SpeCtre
It seems from reading this forum that the screen is an issue on the SpeCtre laptop. My screen cracked after I opened it. I am so unhappy because I bought this computer at the every end of Aug and now the screeen is broken. One of the reasons I bought this computer is to take it with me when I meet clients. In the Real Estate Business I must have a mobile computer to work off of. A cracked screen is bad. Help.
Seems like this is an issue in the design.

Installed windows 7 x64, now no touch screen
I installed Windows 7 64 Premium on a new SSD that I installed in my HP m7-n101dx, but now I have no touch screen capability.
All drivers are installed and up to date, and there are no yellow exclamation marks in the device manager to indicate a bad or missing driver.
The monitor driver though is just "Generic PnP monitor" by Microsoft, and there is nothing listed under Human Interface Devices regarding any kind of monitor or USB device.
There is no "Pen and Touch" entry at all in my control panel, as though the OS does not recognize my monitor as a touch screen.
This seems like a monitor driver issue to me, since the one I currently have is just a generic driver, but I can't find a driver update for the monitor to enable touch screen support. I'm not even sure what specific model the monitor is for this laptop, or who makes it.
Please let me know what steps I need to take to enable touch screen capability on this model with Windows 7 64.

HDMI output
Hi,
My HDMI output is not working. No audio or video signals are leaving the port. The cable has been checked on an independent device and is working fine. The outboard TV says 'no signal'.
I've been through the troubleshooting page on this site to no avail -- http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c01186408
This suggests configuring the HDMI output via Control Panel > Sound > [tab] Playback, but there is no 'AMD HDMI output' option as shown on the troubleshooter, only 'Speakers and Headphones'.

Screen rotated by 90 degrees and now am looking at from the "side". Need it back to normal
I was doing something on top of my keyboard (writing on a paper) when suddenly I found that
teh screen has rotated 90 degrees (I must have touched some keys or similar) and now everything at the screen
turned side ways...(my neck is already killing me trying to look at the screen side-way)
I want my screen back to normal : taht is to be able to look at it "in front" of the creen not "from a side...)

HP Pavillion 15 Notebook PC, Brighnet F2/F3 buttons failed for no reason
I have noticed some posts about failed Brightness control buttons, F2 and F3.
[NOTE: The solution below didn't work, after re-boot, the problem returned.
There is a design problem with the latest AMD HD Graphics Driver; my PC was ok until it was updated.]
Only HP can fix this.

I had same problem; after some thought concluded it was something to do with Graphics Driver, all other KB buttons and functions work ok.
At Start 'Windows Box' on bottom LH side; click;
then
Click 'All apps'
scroll down to find: HP Help and Support,
click drop down menu
and click: 'HP Recovery Manager'
Drivers and Applicatio Reinstalation
Select and reinstall: AMD High-Definition Graphics Driver.
Brightness buttons start working during installation.
Let it finish installing, then reboot.
It didn't work

How can I prevent screen from fading to black when switching to full screen mode?
When I'm viewing images on my computer or watching videos online and switch to full screen mode the screen will always slowly fade to black before going to full screen & coming out of full screen mode. I'm wondering if there is a way to stop that fading from happening.
If someone has an answer that would be wonderful.

Switchable driverATI 6770m + Intel
Dear Hp,
I have format my PC and install again Windows 7 Pro (64 bit). The problem is that the ATI Radeon card 6770m doesn't work. As usual, i have install the lastest HP driver from:
where i have choose (sp55092.exe) that it is the lastest driver. I have the lastest driver in the BIOS (F.1B) and set in the FIX mode. Before formatting my PC, all go well, switchable graphics too, but now it doesn't want work. I have read a lot of forums that speak about this problem and i have try many drivers without results. I hope someone that have the same my PC ,can help me. Best regards,

Flickering horizontal line on top of display
Hi, I bought this laptop 10 months ago and its been great until a month ago. A month ago the hard drive stopped working as fast (Super slow r/w) and is noisy. 2 days ago a horizontal line on the top of the screen started flickering when i started up the pc. So i restarted a few times and nothing. I eventually found that it only flickers when the pc is unplugged. I charged it up to 100% and It still continues to flicker. Updating my display drivers didn't help either.

In the video you can see for lines flickering. when it first started there was only one but it gradually increased to the 4 its at right now. The line also goes all the way across the screen but is most visible at those 4 points.

graphics driver issue g6 1031tx
Hi,
I had been having a few problems with my laptop overheating and realised my laptops graphics drivers were a bit old. After downloading the drivers my catalyst control centre has totally disappeared. i deleted and reinstalled but then when i did get the CCC to reinstall it came up with an error saying MD Catalyst Control Center cannot be started. There are currently no settings that can be configured using AMD Catalyst control center.
not sure what the issue is.. this is doing my head in

x360 black screen battery
Black screen after booting up so I followed the reset instructions found here http://support.hp.com/us-en/product/hp-11-p100-x360-convertible-pc/8901683/document/c03518165.
I disconected the battery held the power button down and when I started the PC without the battery connected the screen worked. After I shut the PC down and reconnected the battery the screen was black again. So I reset it again an now the screen works but I have to have tha PC plugged in and the battery disconected.
Is this an issue with the battery, motherboard or someting else? If I replace the battery will it wok again?
