A couple of weeks ago I bought a HP pavilion 15 p132nd with an AMD A8-6410 APU processor with integrated AMD Radeon R5 m230 graphic card.

Before I bought this laptop I watched some reviews and I concluded that this laptop can run the most games smooth on low and medium settings.

But when I tried some different games the laptop was underperforming in comparison tot the reviews.

I updated my drivers and adapted my power settings to performance but nothing changed.

Last week I played some league of legends. When I changed my video settings I found something really strange (in my opinion). When the video settings were on very high I had 30-50 fps but when I changed it tot very low I also had 30-50 fps. (I alsof tested this on csgo with the same results)

So my question is: Is there a way tot solve this fps problem? And could this also be the reason why my laptop is underperforming?

Upgraded to Windows 10, but now videos won`t play - even "getting started" videos.

Graphic card is "AMD Radeon HD 7310"

Tried updating video through Settings, but not solved

Any suggestions? (Simple answers please, I`m not very profficient)

I am very upset writing this considering how expensive that this laptop was, but with that set aside my screen has cracked. I opened up the laptop a few minutes ago and had my thumb next to the camera and on top of the sounds sensor to the right of the camera. Without applying any extra preassure the screen cracked all the way from the soundhole to the Hewlett-Packard logo on the bottom of the screen. Now not only do i have a crack across the entire screen but to the right side of the crack the touch screen does not work.  I have only had this computer for two months and am very dissapointed in quality, or lack of it. I have read at least 10 other comments with the same issue and feel that it should be covered under the warranty. I look forward to hearing from customer service about this problem.

hi,i downloaded windows 8.1 on my hp630 laptop but i have not been able to use the laptop coz everytime i start the machine,it lights up,says welcome then goes to a blackscreen.i have tried removing the battery but it doesnt work.what could be the problem？

HP Pro Stream 11 only 4 months old - display  has gradually developed pink-yellowish blur emanating rrom lower-right of screen.   Any encountered similar abberation and resolved?  Regards,  IA

i m using this laptop from since last year unfortunately i lost orignal hp windows and i m facing a prblem of automaticly shut down specially when i try to install or upgrade display dirvers

I have a pretty new laptop, only had it maybe three months. It a hp stream 13.3 running windows 8.1 64 bit. I use the hdmi port to stream movies all the time. The last couple of times Ive tried to plug it in it keeps saying on my tv screen that theres no signal. Any suggestions?

When I turn my laptop on the screen comes on but the mouse does not appear at all. I need the mouse to appear otherwise the only option I have is to keep turning it on and off and that's not working. Please help. Thanks

My HP Envy x360 TouchSmart Laptop is having screen issues. It was perfectly fine last night, but today when I powered on my laptop the screen was shaking/pulsing and the color seemed off. The only way to get the shaking to stop is to put the screen brightness all the way up. Also, there is now a HUGE difference in brightness between the max level brightness setting and the level right beneath it.

Anyone know how to fix this?

After upgraded to Windows 10 and ran good for about 3 weeks then one day the windows was starting up but stuck at the black screen that had a text "Starting Windows" and shut off the power automatically after about 20 minutes.  I restarted the Pc for many times but same problem. Restored the PC to previous date but the same result.  I put the Windows 7 64 bit in the DVD and restarted and chose the repair the option trying to repair but didn't help either.  I then format the hard drive and re-installed the Window7 64 bit. I installed the Wifi driver by using other PC to download the driver then went on HP support and let the HP website indentify and find and installed all of the drivers including the bios, USB, display driver...and everything are working except for the display adapters AMD Radeon HD 6700M series.  There is code 43 saying that "Windows has stopped this device because it has reported problem". The resolution is messing up, I can only select either 1280x1024 or 1024x768 or 800x600. I un-installed this AMD Radeon HD 6700M series from device manager and restarted the laptop and it found the device and installed the driver successfully every time and asked me to restart but the same problem.  I then removed the driver and went on AMD website and downloaded the driver from there hopefully help but didn't help either. Please help.

If I close the lid of my notebook, the screen resolution changes to a lower one, resizing windows that do not fit the lower resolution to smaller ones and moving them to the upper left corner. When the lid is opened again, the screen resolution changes back to the original one, but windows' sizes do not change back to what they were before closing the lid.

 

I am using latest drivers and my power options settings for closing the lid are do nothing.

 

How can I prevent changing the screen resolution when lid is closed?

My Pavillion dv7-4069wm shows NOT tested for windows 10, everything seems to work except my radeon 5000 HD video section, and a generic driver was installed.  It is supposed to switch modes when on or off charger, which isn't happening, and the warning that no amd video devices are installed.  the lo-res works on the generic, but HP shows no interest in making this beautiful machine work on windows 10... very sad as it cost me a lot when I bought it new.  It makes me question purchasing HP products in the future.  Has anyone else run into this, and has anyone found a way around it??

Hi. My laptop screen will unexpectedly go very dark (can just barely see a few things on the screen) pretty much at any random time. As far as I know, the only way to return it to normal is to close the lid and open it back up. My laptop is set to do nothing when the lid closes, but the monitor still shuts off upon closing the lid and turns back on after opening (this is normal). Ever since I first got this PC in December 2009, the screen would blink (go black for a tiny fraction of a second) every so often, but this seemed to become less frequent the longer I had the computer. Over the past couple of years it seems I've barely even witnessed the blinking, but now the screen will go very dark and stay that way until closing and reopening the lid (I thought these two things might be related). It has gone dark like this once today, once yesterday, and once the day before (that was the first day I noticed it). Any suggestions? Thanks in advance.

 

Edit: Oddly enough, I noticed a quick blink shortly after I posted this topic. So I guess the blinking can still happen without the screen staying dark.

I may be beating a dead horse here, as I've done quite a bit of research on this issue, but I thought I'd try one more time on HP's forums.

I have a perfectly good Pavilion dv7 4060us that I use to carry my QuickBooks and inventory files with me to a customer's site or when I'm away from the office. I bought it in 2010-2011 because of its performance and price point. The fact that it's an entertainment laptop is not really the issue. By that I mean that I have played a DVD or two on it but that's not its primary mission. 

Having said all of that, I, as a Microsoft Insider (aren't we all?) I tested Win 10 since last October. I have five other computers in my business that updated to Win 10 just fine. Desktops.

But, and I knew better, I let my dv7 update to Win 10 Home (had Win 7 Home) updated graphics drivers under Win 10 from HP, even tho' the revision date seemed to be August 5 (or 8) 2015, don't seem to work. The laptop uses Microsoft's generic LCD drivers. Not the end of the world, but I wonder if anyone's found a way to sort this display issue out. I see that HP wil not offer support for this combination dual-mode AMD card (5650/4250 HD). I have used Compatibility Mode in the past with some success. Anyway, this post has been long enough...I can roll it back to Win 7 Home, but I really don't care about the entertainment aspect of this computer.

Any thoughts, or should I just shut up and go away?
