I recently purchased (literally yesterday) an HP Envy x360, because it was highly recommended by my helper at Best Buy. Since yesterday afternoon, I have been having an issue with the display driver that just won't get fixed.
When I start my computer, it says that AccelerometerSt.exe won't start (gives me code 0xc00007b), and when I try to run Origin on my computer to play the Sims, it says that Origin won't work because the file "MSVCR110.dll" is missing, and my Google'ing suggests that the two problems are related. Also, last night I was just watching a YouTube video and my display driver froze on me. Had to hard restart my computer to fix it.
I followed the instructions here: http://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Notebook-Operating-Systems-and-Software/AccelerometerSt-exe-system-error-for-Windows-10/td-p/5172771
But that didn't work. I can't find any other relevant results on here or the Microsoft page. I went to the support.hp.com site, and ran the Solution and Update Finder and downloaded both the HP System Event Utility and Intel HD Graphics Driver, like it recommended. For whatever reason, my computer won't let me install the other driver (Intel Wireless Display Software) that it suggested. I have installed it three times and no luck.
I kind of went out on a limb here when I bought an HP, and so far I'm having nothing but issues. The site I linked above said that somehow this file got deleted, but I have no idea how. Is there any way to fix this, or do I have to return my laptop?
Thanks,
Jordan
