Hi,

 

I bought my Hp Zbook 17 G2 with Nvidia Quadro K3100M about a month ago.

 

It came with windows 7 pre-installed on it with windows 8.1 downgrade.

 

I installed the windows 8.1 downgrade that came with  the pc which worked perfectly for 3 weeks.

 

Since one week ago, anytime I open a work in either Autodesk Revit or 3ds Max which I use frequently and used to work

on the pc previously it give white screen with patches of the software interface showing. It goes on to have a black screen

when I click on any part of the screen, then "Not Responding'' comes.

 

I try to update all the drivers and series of a whole windows update procedures but it gave me the same result.

Now, i have uninstalled the Nvidia Quadro K3100M drivers on the machine and am I have able to open my works in these softwares and have been able to work on them but my workstation is not working as it's suppose to.

 

I was adviced to download new drivers from both Hp & Nvidia websites but the same problem persisted after their installation.

 

I seriously need help with this. Can someone help me out. I really need my workstation to work and function as such.

I have an HP15 Notebook I bought for my daughter for college in Aug.2015. Today when she turned on the computer she noticed a white internal spot on her screen. She said when she touches that part of the screen it does some wierd stuff but will not go away. The rest of the screen is ok. Just wondering what causes this and is it covered under the manufactures warranty.

My laptop has two graphics cards, a Intel HD Graphics and a NVIDIA Geforce GTX 850. How do I make sure that It is switching to the NVIDIA card when playing games? For example it probably should run the Intel Card when doing basic things like browsing the net. But when I want to play a game (say Skyrim) how to I make sure it is using the Nvidia GPU to get the best possible preformance? Thanks!

I'd like to use my digital pictures as a screensaver movie (i.e., random photo from My Pictures shown for a few seconds then the next one comes up)  I was able to do this on my PC using Windows XP.  Is there a way of setting this up in Windows 10?

I recently bought an HP Omen 15 about 3 months ago and its been working fine for those times, I have been able to play my games with little lag but just today went I was trying to play Dota 2, it was lagging very bad. I checked on the Unigine Valley program the laptop came with and I was getting 2 fps. I looked through my control panel and I havent found any viruses or anything to lag my computer. I dont know if this is just a temporary problem, or if it is something wrong with my PC. After installing Window 10  it is almost impossible to read the screen.  The font is too light and the screen is too bright.  I have run the update driver for display adapter and it says I have the most current driver.  I tried to adjust the type using the gamma adjust, no help.  I have tried to adjust using the buttons that look like little stars on the top of the keyboard. No help.  The only time it is readable is if I open the laptop to a  270 degree angle, but it still seems a little blurry.  I miss the sharp image I had before updating to Windows 10.  Is there anything else I can do to improve the image/text clarity?  I tried online help with Microsoft, they could not help me either.

frustrated - I have been using Win 8.1 on my HP EliteBook and my portable HP S140u monitor. just upgraded my laptop to Windows 10 last week and now my HP S140u will not work. have tried to reinstall available Win8 driver - but there still arent any Windows10 drivers. please help

Black background screen in several apps when pressing caps lock (not total black screen issue). Can't figure how to fix it. Using Windows 10, but was fine until about a week ago. The apps include Google Chrome, the navigation bar in Word, File Explorer (the whole screen), and Control Panel. I haven't noticed it happening in any other apps so far. Ran Troubleshooter in Control Panel and not able to find any problems. Not sure if it's the monitor on the laptop or the keyboard. Any suggestions?

Hello Everyone. 

 

By researching, i have found that my pc contains a 2gb AMD Radeon HD 7600M series and an Intel HD 4000 graphics card which causes the computer to alternate between the cards to save power. But recently i have been noticing poor performance in games even though i supposedly have a 2gb graphics card. But i only found out today that my pc is only using the 30 mb Intel graphics card, without using the 2gb graphics card even during games that require better video cards. This means that i basically do not have a graphics card even though i paid alot of money for this computer, for the video card and other specs. I have read that i may need to uninstall drivers and restart with some other steps, but i am not sure and am seeking advice. Please help.

one whole side of my screen goes black when ever i adjust my hinges. when i adjust the hinge, it returns, then a small shake makes that side of the screen go dark again. i was told to replace my flex video cable. will this fix the problem?

Good morning, My monitor presents two brighter spots. They are symmetric and their length is about 3 or 4 cm. One is in the left side far 5 cm from the edge end the other one is symmetric in the right side. The color of the pixels in these spots are good but they are brighter respect the other parts of monitor. When I ask to the retailer he said me to wait that the spots could disappear. But now I prefer to ask you some other details. Thank you very much

Recieved an un expected error while searching the web, screen actully switched off for a few seconds before receiving an error about the display driver not responding and recovering.

 

Have had a look under devices where the 2nd adapter displays with no signs of error.

 

After recently installing a new SDD moving from HDD, re-installing windows 7 etc via updates and recovery disk ordered to restore the laptop because i used recieve a blue screen error frequently, along with display driver not working error occasionaly when using design programmes.  So assumed it needed a new HDD/SSD and resotre to factory.

 

-Laptop has been cleaned thuroughly removing keyboard, frame etc using solvent as a cleaner. So can't be over heating as the fan hardly runs due and SSD.

-Power supply was connected at time

-Hasn't been overclocked as issue was when using HDD aswell

 

 

It wasn't until today where it happend again, without the blue screen however. So decided i'd look in to it and realised it was a common problem with ATI drivers, when i assumed it was a failing HDD all along.

 

this time the display shut off for a few seconds, longer then previously which is slightly disturbing. Was only using a search engine with no programmes in the background. Infact havn't got round to re-installing files and software so the Laptop is very clean and basic and works quick so not sure why i'm experiencing this.

 

Need to know your thoughts on this please, can't figure it out.. ( HD radeon 6490M )

Reposting this, hoping someone could help me...

Hi, I have a problem with my pavilion g6 laptop. The same thing happened a year ago after I opened and cleaned my laptop... after I put it back together, I turn it on, but the screen is just blank. I've read some post to check for the caps lock blinking... but that doesn't happen on mine... I've tried doing the hard reset but no luck..

hi.. my netbook doesn't have a brighter screen, unless when I plug-in the charger. I have updated the drivers but it didn't help. Also the audio is less. Please help!

Please advise what chipset used by these machines.

 

DV6000 Series

DV6500 Series

DV9000 Series

DV9500 Series

 

Also if someone can advise machines closer to above models but have discrete/dedicated graphic cards like Nvidia 8400/8600 GTX/GT/GS etc etc higher or lower with highest possible GPU memory like 2GB and uses Core 2 Duo series processors not AMD.

 

Example: 

8p PM system board (Intel) or any other option.

Hello.

 

I have a monitor HP Compaq l2311c. Used in conjunction with a laptop HP Pavilion 13 x360.

After upgrading to Wondows 10 x64 monitor stopped working. The system informs the driver is not compatible with Wondows. I tried to update the driver by HPSupportAssistant. No result.

 

When HP plans to release a driver for Windows 10 x64?
