Hi,

 

I have an HP 250 G1 notebook PC.

When I pull up YouCam it says "No webcam detected. Try plugging in a webcam into your computer now. If you are using an integrated camera, make sure that it is turned on."

I have tried going to the menu to deactivate then reactivate it, but it's not there.

 

I also check if the webcam is detected in the Device Manager or not, under “Imaging Devices”. I'm not able to get this resolved through system restore either, as the system is not able to take me back to a date that the webcam last worked.

 

Please help.

HP Probook 4530s 64b windows 7 only has a bright screen when I turn it on plugged in.

As soon as I unplug it the screen dims and when I plug it back in it doesn't brighten or if I turn it on and plug it in when its starting up. When it's dim and Fn+F2/F3 doesnt work. The powerplan for everything is set to high performance.

Hi there. I have recently read about the Switchable Discrete Graphics on HP Notebook PCs. I would like to know if my Presario CQ57-490SE has the same feature.
I tried to install the AMD graphics driver into my PC, It did install but did not seem to work.
I'm using Windows 7 Ultimate x86 version. I also tried on the x64 bit version, No luck.
Is it because i'm using Windows 7 OS? should I have to update it to Windows 8 or later?

There's One more thing, I cannot access my BIOS. It asks for an Administration Password.

hi all.

 

have same problem.

 

Running HP nw9440 mobile workstation with the fx 1500 quadro in it. it was my Avid editing platform before updating and ran like a dream.

 

have tried both the suggested drivers above but get the 'Nvidia installer cannot continue' message due to ' this graphics driver could not find any compatible graphics hardware'.

 

have also tried latest drivers to no avail.

 

any help would be greatly appreciated..

Hi 

 

 

My 1/4th of screen, on left side, has vertical lines, sometimes complete white and sometimes complete black. It happened after a month of waranty expiration.

 

Also, sometimes screen starts getting fading till it becomes complete white. 

 

Please help me out.

 I cannot watch streamed tv in fullscreen mode. This happened from one week to the next as I turned on Masterpiece Theater to view a program. No matter how many times I tried I could not , and cannot, get a full screen picture. ( Oddly enough, My Ipad has no problem with this.)

I usually use my HP pc connected with an HDMI cable to my tv for streaming on the big screen.

I have updated my video driver and fiddled with other setings, resolution and such without success. I have looked at my anti-Virus, Panda Free, but I see no indication that it may be doing it.

Does anyone have an idea of a fix to the problem?

Specs:

Paavilion dmz-1CTo Entertainment pc, running Windows 7 Home Premium, updated

Video processor-AMD Radeon 7310, with current drive

 Flash and Java is current

screen resolution is set at 1366x768 as recommended

4gb DR3 memory

E1-1200+AMD 6300 Discrete Graphics

I appreciate any help on this.

Back in May 2015 screen just went blank white.  No messages or anything.  Hard reboot holding down keys did nothing.  Had to send in to HP for repair. They said its a known issue.

 

Now just today it happened again.  Same problem.  But computer is now 1 month out of warranty.

 

Does or has anyone had this problem?

 

Not sure I even want to have it fixed at this point.  It looks to be a recurring problem and eventually the cost of repairs will be more than the computer itself.

Updated to Win 10 and HDMI output for Dual monitor wont work no more. i have done all the windowns and HP updates and restarted laptop.  still doent work. Am i missing something or how can i go back to Win 8.1??

The LHS hinge is broken on my Spectre 13-2114TU. This has affected the screen and rendered it useless. My ultrabook is out of it's 1 year warranty, but having seen the multiple posts and reviews by other product owners with this exact problem HP should offer a solution to this considering it was a significantly priced purchase. 

 

I've looked into costs of having this repaired myself and the replacement screen itself is priced in excess of AUD $800. What a shame HP, I would have happily continued to use my ultrabook, and had I been as satisfied as I was with it prior to this issue, made my next purchase with HP. Unless HP are willing to assist further it looks like I will be forking out for a new Dell laptop, word is the integrity of their products and customer support are in line with their prices.

So guys,

15 days ago,i install window 10 ob my laptop and suddenlyeverything changed. My radeon graphic card updated to AMD radeon 7400M. Now, ''configure switchable graphics'' doesn't appear under AMD's graphics properties when I right click the desktop. I tried to install back AMD radeon 6470M.but, it automatically goes back to AMD 7400.

 

 

I tried every solution i find on forum on different site. Like fresh installation, software like CCleaner, Driver fusion, display uninstaller,etc... Nothing seems like working for me anymore.

Hello. I have problem with my graphic card. When I install AMD Mobility Radeon HD 5470 driver Myscreen turns off 

I have tried all amd versions the result is same.

I tried disable intel HD graph but the result is same.

I have always re-installed the all driver but the result is same.

I changed Operating system (I tried windows 8 and windows 7)but the result is same.

I'm just tired to try fixing that trouble I'm really bored PLEASE HELP ME!!

2 monitors are connected DVI (one was VGA but I switched it to DVI) to a docking station for the HP ProBook 650 G1.  The monitor that is acting as the default monitor is fine but the other monitor is just black.  Going into the Screen Resolution only shows 1 monitor, the other is not detected at all. 

 

There is also no option for a second monitor.  Please help!

I recently upgraded to Windows 10 as prompted by HP Support Assistant and Microsoft.

 

Since downloading and installing the upgrade, I am no longer able to extend my display from my laptop to a monitor connected by a VGA cord.

 

According to my  Device Manager, there is an error with my display adapter, which is Intel HD Graphics 4600.

 

I have downloaded and installed all of the current Windows and HP updates. I have also tried to update the driver software, but I received notification that I already have the most up-to-date drivers installed.

Microsoft tells me that I can't upgrade to Windows 10 because the ATI Mobility Radeon graphics card is not supported.  Is there a way to get a driver installed that will allow me upgrade?

HP ENVY TouchSmart 17t-j100 Quad Edition CTO Notebook (this is what the automatic product information says although mine is not Touch)

 

When I connect to an external display and go to the window to adjust the resolution and click on the UHD resolution setting, I get to the effect "This can damage your computer and HP will take no responsibility for any damage that results from using a UHD display"
