I was having a lag on my laptop because i was surfing and transfering files. So i forced shut it down. Then turn it on again. I signed in, after that all screen went black, cursor is working but thats all so I tried ctrl+alt+del it doesnt work.
So i tried searching on my phone some forum solutions the best suggestion i found was to press "esc" key until recovery menu show. In my case what should i choose in the recovery menu or what would you suggest on other procedure. Plss i really need you help now. Im just a student if my parents found out i will be grounded.
And sorry for my english.

HP notebook (Windows 10) dv7 with switchable graphics - big problems with slow boot!
I have Hp Pavilion Notebook dv7 with switchable graphics bought in 2012. I have had almost all the time problems with those 2 graphics drivers (AMD HD 6770 and Intel HD Graphics 3000).
Hp do not have made new drivers for years, and everybody can see that internet is full off disappointed comments of that!
Now when I updated to Windows 10, booting time came very long, it came black screen that was there 1 minute 25 seconds. That is terrible long.
I discussed with Microsoft technician and they said that they have only basic drivers that come with Windows 10. HP in responsible for those new divers.
I have not found any from HP!
So I installed from Leshacatlabs.net Catalyst 15.7 WHQL UnifL v1.2

And everythin works fine - that black screen lasts now only 3-5 seconds.
(First install Intel driver and then AMD driver and that is all!)

Camera not working on Windows 10
I have installed Windows 10 on my tablet. Skype doesn't recognize the camera As far as I can tell the Camera is not working at all. I have reinstall the Camera driver from hp.com/support and it still is not working. Also the ambient light driver fails to insrall.

Hinge broken in Envy SPECTRE XT laptop

I am facing similar problem with my envy spectre XT hinges.
Though initially only a single hinge would trouble me eating away half of the display, I am concerned now as even the second hinge is following its mate.

Hp Omen failure after windows 10 upgrade
after i upgraded my computer to windows 10 all my games run at very low fps, my hp omen control is gone so I cant block my trackpad/touchscreen or turn up the fan power. everything looks fine to me but when i try watching videos or games its always at low fps...

ProBook 4530s - If computer started without being plugged in screen remains dim.
My work computer, a HP Probook 4530s 64b windows 7 only has a bright screen when I start it and it's already plugged in.
As soon as I unplug it the screen dims and when I plug it back in it doesn't brighten. When it's dim and Fn+F2/F3 doesnt work. The powerplan for everything is set to high performance as well.

I have had good luck running an HDMI cord from TV to HP Laptop, however
I have read that the TV has to coincide with the HdMI box, so how do I do this? I purchased a Mini TV Box to hook up to my TV to make it run like a smart TV. I know there are adjustments you have to make on the TV to accept this procedure. Can you tell me what settings I have to change and how to do it? Thank you

Lid Sensor Switch
My Envy-M6 1125us will not go into sleep mode when the lid is closed. I purchased this computer used so I'm not sure if it is a new issue or an existing issue with this computer or whether it’s a software or a hardware related issue.
I checked around the perimeter of the LCD backcover and there’s no magnet, so I'm not sure if thats the mechanism used to shut the computer down when the lid is closed or if there’s a sensor located somewhere.
If someone could please provide input on how this particular computer shuts down when the lid is closed it would be very helpful.

Hello, I have my laptop plugged into my BENQ monitor and I am trying to be able to do something on my laptop and something on my monitor at the same time. I tried extend and all i could do was open and close apps, but what i want to do is for example have a site open on my monitor and be typing an essay on word on my laptop screen. Please tell me how to do this.

Problems with HP switchable graphics - now those graphics drivers caused Windows 10 very slow boot
I have HP Pavilion dv7 Notebook with switchable graphics bought year 2012.
I have had almost all the time problems with those 2 graphics drivers (AMD HD 6770 and Intel HD Graphics 3000)
HP do not have made new switchable graphics drivers (for example for Windows 7) for years and everybody can see that internet is full of very disappointed and frustrated comments of that!
Now when just I updated my Windows 7 to Windows 10 it became one big problem caused again by switchable graphics. Booting time became very long - terrible long!
It came black screen that lasted 1 minute 25 seconds!
I tested it and took those graphics driver away and then - that black screen was only 2-5 seconds.
I discussed with Microsoft technician and he said that they put only the basic drivers to Windows 10 and this time it do not work normally.
And HP is responsible for those correct drivers!
I have not found correct drivers from HP-support sites (Have any other??)
But there is one good way to solve that problem!

Strange behaviour in photos app
I have recently bought a HP Spectre x360 Convertible Laptop 13-4007na which came with windows 8.1 and which I immediately upgraded to Windows 10.
I have a strange bug in the photos app which I do not have in the other machines that I have upgraded.
In a folder with <= 30 jpg images I can click on any of them, opening the photos app, and then scroll through them all using either the mouse scroll wheel or the little arrows on the left and right of the images.
In a folder with >30 jpg images, if I click on any which are more than 30 from the end of the folder then I cannot scroll, and no little arrows appear on the images. However if I click on an image which is 30 or less from the end of the folder then I can scroll normally through all the images including the first ones.
This does not happen on any of my other Windows 10 PCs, and it is so strange and consistent that I cannot imagine where the error is.
Has anyone else seen this, or can offer an explanation or solution?

Offered Windows 10.. accepted download offer from Microsoft.... and following completion my laptop screen went BLACK! Numerous requests from Microsoft go unanswered. ... even to the Dept. that handles my stock. What on earth can I do to get back to Windows 7?

installing windows 10 on HP Pavillion 9260
i recently installed windows 10 professional on my Pavillion 9260 laptop older unit it took alot of patience and some work to get it to install from the windows 7.1 (which had a issue with media player (something about unknown library in media player ) so since i did not find any reasonable solution (delete it and allow media player to rebuild it didnt solve the issue) i went and purchased a copy of win 10 pro and installed it in doing so i found 2 problems that i could use some help solving 1 the extended video is not working i can dupicate but cant extend video to an external monitor driver do displays says only basic microsoft display not helpful at all .second isssue is a combination of INterneet acess (thrid party hardware & software not being usable due to possible no driver avaialable (as it was in windows 7.1) a umd190 verison anywhere usb device for unlimited data connection to connect on the road verison is aware of the fact ths device is older and since it is a g3 device with unlimited access is not aware of any way of fixing this presently due to they want to make you update to a g 4 device with limited acess im concerned because the device was working fine on win 7.1 but is not any longer on windows 10 any help would be appreated

my HP pavilion m6 the screen just suddenly turned INTO white
my HP pavilion m6 laptop, the screen suddenly turned INTO “white”(not exactly white but like old TV with no signal white with black dots or like YouTube connection error screen) for a minute and turned itself off.
I unplug the power cord and I took out the battery for a few minute before restarting it again. it working with no problem but I was wondering what caused the screen turn into white and turn off suddenly ?

Windows 10-Unable to use ATI Radeon graphics while trying to duplicate screen
I recently upgraded my HP-3085TX from windows 7 to windows 10 ,after that i am unable to use the radeon graphics .I have upgraded my display drivers .The catalyst manager works fine but they have removed the option for switching to high performance GPU in the catalyst manager.Please suggest me how can i duplicate the screen of my laptop.
