I have seen several cases of this on these forums where the screen on these notebooks just cracks overnight. Mine has suffered the same fate and it is very frustrating. The notebook was only 35 days old when this happened and just like everyone else, was never dropped. In fact, it never left my desk. The initial call to HP Support is this is not covered by warranty. Has anyone had any luck convincing HP this is a manufacturing defect and had it covered under warranty?

HP ENVY 17-2290nr 3D Edition Notebook - AMD Graphics Driver
Hi,
I have an HP ENVY 17-2290nr 3D Edition Notebook with switchable graphics between an Intel HD chip and an AMD Radeon HD 6850M card. The HP support driver for the AMD card was last updated around 2012 and the card surprisingly works fairly well except when trying to play Skyrim.
Now, if I am using the most up-to-date package off the HP support website for the AMD card, there are several graphical errors on Skyrim. If I uninstall the drivers and only run off what windows automatically inserts after a reset, the game graphic errors disappear and everything is displayed normally. Can anyone help with this?

pavillion 360 desktop and tabs?
I hate how it splits to two screens. I miss the old version of how I can control what is on the left side of the screen and on the right. Apparently I can't even open Sticky Notes without having that as its own tab when sticky notes are just suppose to hover above the tabs open. Plus on the tab bar, none of the apps that are open are displayed on the tab bar. How do I return it to the old verson where I had a desktop?

Win 10 white screen on Ultrabook, external display fine
Upgraded to Windows 10 from 8.1 . (Why oh why...)
My Ultrabook is plugged in to an HP Port Replicator, which includes my HP x2401 external monitor. Monitors are set up to duplicate.
Everything works just fine EXCEPT my Ultrabook display, which is NOT a Touchscreen. When plugged in, I get my display on the big monitor, and the Ultrabook screen is blank. Even completely unplugged from all peripherals, I get a white display screen--but now the notebook doesn't respond.
All drivers were upgraded as HP suggested. No new drivers are currently suggested.
Can anyone help??

WIndows 10 screen remains backlit
Ever since I upgraded to Windows10 by laptop display doesn't turn off when the power saver settings kick in. Instead it remains backlit which wastes battery life and is very annoying. Anyone have ideas on how to address?

HP Spectre x360 won't display on 2nd monitor after Windows 10 upgrade
I have been able to use the HP3001 Port Replicator for 2nd monitor (Dell ST2420L) from my HP Spectre 360, until I upgraded to Windows 10 last week.
I have updated all drivers I could through varying tools.
The replicator works for the network, mouse and keyboard, so assume it is the monitor drivers. I am using a VGA cable connection.

HP Pavilion DV7 4045ea Screen Replaced and still blurry/fuzzy
Hi. I have recentyl replaced a broken screen on my customer's laptop but it is still blurry/fuzzy with the new one.
Old screen display:
The new screen does not have those green lines on the right and it looks fine apart from the blurry effect.
New screen display:
I don't think it's a driver issue as this happens as soon as you turn on the laptop. It works perfectly fine on an external screen.
Any ideas? Is it the lvds cable or m/b?

HP EliteDisplay E231 flickering
Hello,
in August 2015, we changed from Lenovo Hardware to HP.
Since that time, we have lots of Monitors which are flickering several times the day.
The Problem exist by the HP EliteBook 850 G1 and HP EliteDesk 800 TWR. The Monitor is the EliteDisplay E231.
Is that a known problem?
What we have tried...
1) Uninstall the current driver and delete it from the system.
2) Install the latest driver / HP and Intel.
--> Problem still exist.
1) Unplug the Monitor and Plug a new one.
2) Monitor not flickering again.
I'm not sure, if it could be a driver problem, or a Hardware problem.
We have now round about 5 persons with that kind of problem.
Any ideas about that problem?

Backlight turns off and on
Hello, I am having problems with my hp dv6 1245dx. My backscreen flickers sometimes of just turns completely black most of the time. I can still see that the screen is on if i hold a flashligh up to it. I have replaced the inverter and installed a new screen. I am still having this problem. So i am pretty sure it is the magnetic lid switch that is causing this problem. Because it works on an external display with hdmi. Can anyone tell me where I can find the magnetic lid switch? I cannot seem to find it, pictures would be great. Or specific details would be great as well. Thank you

Cannot detect laptop display driver for Altec Lansing laptop
The laptop will only display on the extended screen and not the screen of the laptop. This happens with or without the extended screen connected to the laptop. When I try to detect the laptop screen, it does not detect it.

Radion Sapphire graphics card wont show up
In order to upgrade my pc to windows 10 my video card needs upgraded. I purchased a Radeon Sapphire card. My pc wont find it as new hardware. What I need to know what my PCI express 16x slot version is? on my Narra5 M2N68-LA motherboard! The video card requires 2.0 or higher. Can you tell me? No way to contact MB Mfg. "Pegatron" ! display monitor started to flicker a little bit like it isset for 40Hz and it is set to 60Hz of course.
It is like that in programs, windows and ubuntu 14.04
do i need to update bios or something?

Videos´ slow start and long buffering
Hello,
I´ve done system restore on my laptop recently. Since then I´m suffering issues with videos. When I want to play video online it uploads quickly (so no problem with internet connection) but it takes a really long time to start the video playing. After it finally does and I try to move to another part of the video there is the same problem. Also when I want to play a video I have on my harddrive it takes really long time till it starts.
Could someone help? Thank you in advance.

YouCam not working
My YouCam is not working properly.
At first it showed not camara connected.
then, the on button would turn on by itself but no image.
Now it found the camera but freezes after only a couple of seconds.
I have Windos 7 but don't know the if (32 or 64) bit

Touch Screen not working
Hi
My touch screen has stopped responding since i upgraded to Windows 10. I have read the forums and tried the various methods described but no good. I have tried the component test (F2 on start up) and the touch screen is not listed in the components.

macbook pro
My Macbook Pro is registering my HP monitor, but the monitor isn't registering the Macbook Pro. There is no display on the monitor at all and I've tried a couple different cables. Always the same - Macbook Pro is ready to go, HP monitor isn't talking. (No signal). How can I get this to work?
