I just upgrade my pc to windowes 10. then i found out that there is no sound. no audio output device is isntalled

My display extends beyond the right and bottom viewable edges of the screen, apparently/usually just enough to barely still see the cursor arrow, and I have been unable to find a way to resize or reposition it. (I know that these used to be standard adjustments on machines I've used in the past.) Also, although I don't think this is part of the same problem, when I have a Chrome window open and reduce it from full-screen, it goes completely off of the screen. Sometimes, I'm able to find the top edge with the cursor and drag it back in, but I usually have to just close it from the taskbar and start over.
Any suggestions on either?
Laptop won't boot up. Had it checked and determined it is not the screen. It appears to be the GPU. Do I need to replace the motherboard or CPU? Can I upgrade the system as part of this repair?
My current laptop at college is not capable of playing beefy games, and i have to play on a smaller window size. However, when trying to play on the windowed for of World of Tanks, the game will not fit on the screen. The bottom part of the window is always cut off by about an inch, and my PC will not allo me to resize the screen vertically, only horizontally. I am on windows 8.1, but on my Windows 7 HP desktop, I can resize the game window to any size I want, even if it isnot proportionally correct. Any help as to why the display does not fit the screen would be greatly appreciated!
couldn't find my brightness option and brightness control key are not supposed to work. currently brightness is full and eating battery
I can't adjust the display brightness of my notebook. Product number: N8M06PA#ACJ. i searched he entire system and i can't find the function to adjust the brightness.. Also F2 F3 keys are disabled. Am using windows 8.1
I have read all I can find related to black spots on screen and could find no answers related to repair. This laptop is out of warranty and it appears that the screen would be replaced if the computer was still under warranty.
A couple of months ago I read somewhere that the spots could be removed by rubbing with a cloth covered eraser when the screen was off after applying tape to define the area. I have been doing this and the spot is getting smaller but I also am seeing small green spots that have broken off from the large spots. If it is possible to have the screen replaced would HP repair this? Any other suggestions? These spots are in the lower right hand section and conceals the area where many commands are called for and where the lower scroll arrow is located.

I think my amd videocard DIED
Hello ,
I have a problem with the onboard video card. When i disable it from the divice manager the laptop dosn't switch to using the N Vidia external card, and when I they are both on it's very very slow.
I looked in the BIOS to find a option to sable the intel video but i coudn't find any options as to the advanced setings (hardware settings) to try from there.
I read that there is an option for dimanic swtiching between the Video GPUS but this is something also that i can't find and not sure if it's supported by this motherboard.
Can you please help me.
Thanks in advance.
Hey, I recently bought the GTA V game. I intalled it whitout problems, but when i click on the se exe file the game just doesn't start.
I searched for the problem in my browser, and it seems that my graphic card ist good enough to run the game.
But after i cecked my laptop's informations it seems like all the components would work at the minimal graphic settings but i have no graphic card at all....
I searched on the internet, and i found a guy whit the same laptop, which has an Intel HD graphics 3000 videocard which, acording to youtube can run the gta V at minimal graphics.
My questions are: -Can i replace/place the videocard whit this one ?
-What would be the cheapest/most expensive solution ?
Hi... just wondering if the Core i5 laptop can be upgraded in terms of video performance to take it into the reams of gaming?
have upgraded the RAM to 8Gb but think that the nVIDIA graphics is built onto the motherboard as opposed to a seperate gfx card... is this the case?
any advice gratefully received
thank you
I upgraded from Win 8.1 to Win 10 and lost touchscreen ability. After much reading in these forums and using Microsoft tech support, I did a system recovery to the original Win 8.0. The touchscreen ability return to normal. After running windows updates and updating to Win 8.1, I have again lost touchscreen ability. I have run all the latest updates, used HP support assistant diagnostic and followed all the recomened steps except doing another system recovery. It took me 2 days to do a system recovery and get all my software and files back on this computer. When I did a HP diagnostic UEFI the touchscreen was not on the list of devices to test. However, in Win 8.1 it says I have a 10 point touchscreen and in device drivers under HID the touchscreen driver is listed.
Can I find the touchscreen driver for Win 8.0 and use it instead of the Win 8.1 driver? Please help. I really want my touchscreen back.

I am in deparate need here. I need to find drivers for DVD Optical drive for Windows 7, that's capable of using the LightScribe application as well for HP Pavilion dv9806nr. The HP OEM firmware only supported Windows Vista, HP never issue any Windows 7 updates or support if one migrated to it from Vista. I have downloaded Cyberlink PowerDVD Software Software version 10.0.8.5511 from a link that supports Windows 7 for HP Pavilion DV6-7058 Entertainment Notebook PC.
But Windows 7 on this notebook does not recoginizes it, neither under Microsoft Control Panel and device manager. Below I have copied the basic missing hardward ids form device manager in the hope I can find a solution to this problem. You guys are my last frontier! I hope my information is detailed enough to find a solution.

Hello, my laptop screen goes totally black when I plug it in. Then, when I unplug it it becomes bright again but says my battery is very low. Could it be the battery? Why would it go back when I plug it in?
Problem: unable to play a video on secondary HDTV screen from my laptop.
Laptop: Presario 2710ca - Windows XP - Mobility Radeon video/graphics card
Chip AGP 0x4C59
Driver version 6.14.10.6334
Bios Info: BK5.0.0 VR006.003.006.002.011.000.001.001
Presario has a VGA output and an S-video output
Television: SAMSUNG UN32J5205FXZC 32" 1080P LED SMART HDTV with HDMI input. No VGA input)
External VGA-HDMI converter used: LKV351PRO
When initially powering-on the Presario, the HDTV, and the converter, the Windows XP logo appears on both screens, followed by my Desktop's background image which perfectly fills the full screen of the HDTV. However all of my Desktop program icons which are always visible on the Presario's screen are missing on the HDTV screen.
Opening the Presario's Control Panel and clicking on the Display icon brings up a box showing Display Properties.
Click Settings and in that box both screens 1 and 2 appear side by side and of equal size. In the box I can create a blue border on either screen in order identify and activate which one I want by clicking one or the other.
In this same box, I set the screen resolution field scale to "1024 x 768" which, as I mentioned, fills the HDTV screen completely, as desired. This is also the setting recommended by the converter's instructions. Changing the resolution size of screen 2 will reduce or enlarge the size of the Desktop's background image on the HDTV.
In the box, the Display Field indicates "1: Multiple monitors on Mobility Radeon"
Screen resolution: 1024 x 768
Color quality: Highest (32 bit)
I also place a green check mark in the box for the field entitled "Extend my Windows Desktop onto this monitor". Click OK
Clicking the Advanced tab at the top of the box brings up a new pop-up box entitled "Multiple Monitors and Mobility Radeon Properties".
The DPI setting is "Normal Size 96 DPI" and then I click OK. The converter's instructions recommend 96 DPI. The alternate choices are "Large Size 120 DPI" and "Custom Setting", neither of which make any difference to achieve my purpose of enabling a video to play on the HDTV.
There is already a green dot in the field entitled "Apply the new display settings without restarting. Clicking OK accepts this option and the box disappears.
Opening my USB.2 thumb drive connected to the Presario, I select a video and click Play. The video plays normally on the Presario's screen. I can drag the mouse's cursor arrow from the playing video onto the HDTV screen but the video does NOT drag along with it. I can, however, drag the video's icon from the Presario onto the HDTV and on the HDTV click Play there as well, but the video itself still will not appear nor play on the HDTV.
Furthermore, from that icon which I dragged from the Presario onto the HDTV I can also bring up a box that says "Confirm File Replace. Would you like to replace the existing file?". Clicking No makes the pop up box disappears, clicking Yes, a pop up box on the Presario shows the video file slowly transfering somewhere, but NOT onto the HDTV screen. The video will only play on the Presario's screen regardless.
It makes no difference what format of video file I choose to play: .avi, .mp4, .flv, etc. Nor does it make any difference if I use the converter's options to change the HDTV's resolution from 720p to 1080p. I can only drag the cursor arrow and video's icons from screen to screen, never theactual video itself.
Can anyone familiar with the Presario 2710 please advise what critical step I have omitted or failed to engage? It is probably something very simple but thus far it has eluded me.
If I am unable to resolve this issue, I may have to resort to using the Presario's S-Video output--reportedly with inferior results.
I thank you for your assistance.

Currently there is no available driver for the r5 m330. I tried to find a compatible driver for the amd switcable graphics but the links are not working. Please upload again the software needed.
I recently upgraded to Windows 10, clean install, downloaded all the newest hardware drivers (8/15/2015) and a new bios and this is what I have:
1 - From "turn on" to a Windows logo appearring takes 6 seconds
2 - From Logo to a sign-in screen takes 90 seconds.
If I disable the AMD Radeon video card driver:
1 - From "turn on" to a Windows logo appearring takes 6 seconds
2 - From Logo to a sign-in screen takes 4 seconds. But terrible video.
Wha's wrong with these drivers???
Thanks - Ed
I have a notebook that does not show up in the product list, and it's running windows ten on an AMD A8-7410 processor with Radeon R5 graphics. My notebook has a reccomended updates function, and it reccomended an amd hd graphics update. I updated it, and now the brightness wont change on my screen. I've used the keys and gone into control panel to use the slider, but nothing seems to work. I think I might need a chipset update but I cannot find where to get them. Help please.
Hi! Im new here.
I just had my screen replaced and I was watching a show on my laptop through my TV yesterday. When I woke up today I found that my laptop's screen wouldn't work. It gives off a grey glow like it normally does when loading up. However I found that when plugged into the TV via HDMI, it worked (although the laptop screen is still grey). Could anyone help me? I've just paid £140 to have the screen replaced!!!
