Hi. I upgraded my hp laptop to windows 10 and i have notice this black screen before the login page that tkes around 2 minutes for it to go normal. I asked microsoft how to fix this and they said it is the OEM who need to give you an updated version of your graphics driver. My laptop has intel hd graphics 4600 and i updated it from the hp website but the problem still persists. Is there a way to fix it and when will the next update for it release Also in the list for my device it gives me an option for an amd driver even though my laptop hasn't got it. should i download that as well?

I just got my touchscreen HP laptop in august when trying to skype or even take a picture under the preinstalled app on the computer nothing shows up like the webcam is not working ive tried going to camera settings and nothing is working it has a webcam at the top of the computer but its not working and im very unsure of what to do to resolve the issue. Im getting aggrivated because this is the 3rd problem ive had with my HP laptop.

hp envy dv6 screen issue
when the laptop enters in windows usually if its a cold start (not restart) , the screen more or less freezes , the refresh of the screen is mainly in the upper part but still once per 2 sec, and simultaneously horizontal lines appear (mainly in the lower part of the screen).
This problem appeared after a few months after i bought the laptop but wasnt that pronounced (just few lines in the bottom part of the screen) and stopped after a minute or two, now this issue is much more pronounced and lasts several minutes (10-15 min) . At the beginning i thought it was a driver issue now im not that sure anymore since the screen doesnt present any visible problems at he the very beginning of the start-up before entering the windows loading phase..
I've also updated win 8 to win 8.1 and win 10 but didn't have any better results.. Now i had to reinstall windows so i made i clean installation of win 8 and the screen issue became even worse ..
Please let me know if there is anything i can do.. and excuse me for my bad english ..

Lights not working
My laptop is quite new (less than a year old)... The lights for the caps lock, num lock and mute keys aren't showing up. They do sometimes though, but are very faint. I have dropped my laptop once or twice, but there are no visible cracks or any damage, it still looks and works like it was brand new. I was wondering if there is any way that the lights can come back on because it is kind of bothering me. ANY ADVICE? thanks :]

hp probook 455 g1 screen flickering and showing strange colors
I have hp probook 455 g1 laptop for 10 months and few days ago screen started to display strange colors and flickering. This especially happens when I move the lid or change it's position. It stops to flicker if the lid is below 70 degrees, sometimes it stops flickering when I find a position at about 100 degrees. After 100 degrees it flickers much harder. In addition if you position the lid that it won't flicker and click under the screen, about at the place where the lid is connected to the body, the screen begins to flicker and change colors, after you release it stops. Do anyone know what can this could cause? How can I fix it? I'm almost sure it's hardware related because this happens always, even in bios settings and during boot.

Display Port to HDMI does not work on Elite Pro 9480M ( WIN 10 OS)
New laptop.
Good HDMI cable working fine.
Sony Bravia TV uses the HDMI port too.
I try to use a Display Port to HDMI converter from E-Bay and what happens is the image on TV flashes at 1 sec intervals. The E-Bay seller is willing for refund as he is sure it worked with WIN 8 OS.
IS there any patch I can try in the laptop or alternately should return the adaptor to E-Bay and buy one from HP ??

Windows 10 screen flickering
windows 10 update caused screen flickering. Did a revert to windows 8. I understand it's the graphics card. How do I find the new driver and do I fix that before or after the upgrade? Is there a step by step.? Or is this a norton problem as well? I read some people remove norton. Thanks

Pavilion25xw Not Working on Envy Laptop after Win10 Update
After upgrading from Windows 8 to Windows 10, my Pavilion25xw monitor stopped working. Before I upgraded from Win8 to Win10, it was working great. After the upgrade it remains black. I have tried disconnecting the HDMI cable and reconnecting and playing with the available switches. I also have gone onto HP.com/support and tried downloading their Assistant tool to help determine which driver to update.
Has anyone else seen this exact problem? If so, how did you fix it?

Brightness issues on HP 15-r117na
Hi,
Recently purchased the HP 15-r117na and upgraded it to windows 10.
Since doing so I have two issues with the brightness on the laptop.
1) Upon booting, the display is sometimes at minimal brightness so that you can't see the login screen, as soon as you increase the brightness the login screen appears. Other times it works fine and the login screen is immediately visible.
2) The F2 and F3 keys are reversed - F2 increases brightness, when the logo suggests it should decrease it, and vice-versa for F3.
I've updated all the drivers I could find on the HP support site for my laptop, and Windows also says that the best driver is currently installed for my graphics chip. I've also ensured that the brightness is set all the way up when on AC (which is always the case for my laptop) in the active power plan.
Considering how long windows 10 has been out, and that HP officially support windows 10 on this model, such issues are disappointing.
Any help would be very much appreciated.

I cracked the screen of my non-touch laptop (HP ENVY 15t-j100 Quad Edition CTO, that i got at costco). And am looking to replace.
From the manual here http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c04091768, I see the replacement part number would be 720551 since my current resolution is 1366x768
Now my other question is, can I instead go for 720552 and get higher resolution or will that wont work?

Intel HD graphics card.
I want to know more about my graphics card but i cant find out much about it. I want to know because i want to know what its comparible too. All it says it is a intel hd graphics but when googling it, it brings loads of differnet cards.

Dedicated Video Memory
Hello,
I used to have 64 MB of dedicated video memory before updating my windows to windows 10 (64 bit).
now after the update, i have 0 MB dedicated video memory, 0 MB system video memory and 1632 MB total available graphics memory.
i post a question before if i can change the dedicated memmory and the answer was no. then how come it got decreased ?!
please advise.

Video card problem
hello guys! I have a big problem. my laptop is probook 4530s , problem is that when i installed windows 8.1 pro 64 (bit doesnt matters) and installs amd graphic 7400 series screen goes blank when i restart PC driver is showed like it isnt installed and thats right. then i restarted PC i disconnected internet and i installed amd driver manualy, when installation is on like 60 75% it's stoppes and types problem on installation. then i installed windows 7 ULTIMATE 64bit i installed all of drivers and when i restart PC it stucked on Starting Windows (when windows booting and flag is building) so..... someone please help me
P.S I was playing Pro Evolution Soccer 2015 Known as (PES) i scored goal and it stucked before ball crossed the goal line and then i restared PC and it wasnt booting i had WINDOWS 8.1 after Windows Flag it was just black screen

pavilion x360 touchscreen freaking out
The right side of the screen appears to look like i'm touching it in like five different places and in rapid succesion. I avoided using the touchscreen at all for a few days but the problem keeps happening especiallt when i'm typing or on the internet. It will click on things and reroute the page i'm on and it's ver frustrating. Do i need to take my computer in somewhere to get it fixed or can I fix it on my own?
