Like many other pavilion users my left hinge clip for the screen has snapped on one side and the laptop is left lopsided when I close it. Almost 100% sure this is a case of manufacturing fault/poor design and am not really sure where this puts me. Screen is left unsteady and moves around unpredictably. Please help, looks like the hinge is coming apart and its internal support has snapped

Graphic Drivers for ProBook 450 G1
Hello,
Kindly help me with the issue of Internal Power Error again. Before I had the same issue and was resolved but few days back I recieved an update from HP and now my AMD Graphic driver is not working properly and giving me the same error again and again. Kindly, solve this issue with the new update of AMD driver. If possible kindly send me the link of previous version of AMD driver which work perfectly for Windows 10.

Display Adapter
Hello everyone,
I've just bought a HP 15-g205ng (http://support.hp.com/ch-de/document/c04534748) and according to the specs this laptop comes with the dedicated graphic card AMD Radeon HD 8570M.
Oddly enough when I go to the device manager I see I have 2x cards installed:
- AMD RADEON HD8500M
- AMD RADEON R5

Is this strange isn't it?
Furthermore I haven't installed anything in the laptop yet however the memory usage is about 2.14Gb!? Does anyone know the reason why? Check the link below:

I thought it has to do with the video card, it is not dedicated but shared, then tried to disable the AMD RADEON R5 and then it turns to a 800x600 resolution and cannot change anything else.
I need some help, what can I do?

Dark screen on start up when "plugged in" only, on battery no issue
This is a HP 15-r011dx Notebook PC (ENERGY STAR), product # G9D66UA#ABA. Not sure if this is a display or power issue, but the display is the most obvious issue. The machine originally had Win 8.1 OS (without this issue) and I recently upgraded to Win 10. The upgrade seemed to go fine (no problems at the time) and shut down the machine. However, the next day With the unit "plugged in" I pressed the power button for start up - saw the usual blank blue-gray start up page...then the HP logo with progress wheel but after four or five seconds the screen went very dark (not black). I could still barely make out the clock display from the opened (start?) page (the one before the sign-in page). After trying "things" as a solution, I discovered that if I unplugged the power and went to battery the screen reverted to a normal display. I finished logging in and plugged the power cord back in and the screen immediately went dark again...unplugged the power adapter again and everything went back to normal on battery. I eventually figured out that if I started up on battery and then put the machine in sleep mode I could plug in the power cord, wake it back up, and everything was fine (including recharging the battery). I called HP Support techs (HP Carepack plan) and relayed all this to them. Two different techs worked on the machine remotely (for about four hours), did things like reset BIOS - changed settings etc - but with no solution. Eventually, they said they had done all they knew how to do - had never come across a situation like this - and suggested I put this issue on the Support Forum. So, that's what I'm doing. Again, this only happens on "start up" from "shut down" ((or if the machine has been in sleep mode for a long time like overnight and the disks have powered down (?)). As it is, without being able to start up on power, if I ever lose the battery charge, I have an expensive paper-weight. Has anyone heard of this before and more importantly have a solution?

HP ENVY 15t-j000 Quad Edition CTO Notebook PC Nvidia GEFORCE Problem
Hi, I'm having some problem with my notebook. The problem would be not having Nvidia GEFORCE installed on my HP. I had tried installing it with a nvidia graphics detector but it gave me an error saying 'This graphics driver could not find compatible graphics hardware'. green screen
My Laptop was rather slow I did a HP restore. So I need to update my drivers and I installed ADM catalyns update the one for my specific GC. So it was working great the driver for the GC from 8/3/15. Then I try watching movie on my Movie HD software and all the movies are green no picture only sound. Online videos or anything else works fine. Then I roll back the driver and try it works like a charm . Im a Games so I play WoW . When I rolled the driver back the WoW game dont start it shows "memory " problem which wasnt there with the updated driver. Any Ideas?

HP Envy as a workstation
I have an HP Envy M7-N011DX and I was wondering if it was possible to install a workstation graphics card, like an NVIDEA 5010M or similar, onto the motherboard of my notebook. I am an engineering student and I must be able to run CAD programs like Solidworks or AutoCAD and need to know this information before the two week return policy is negated so as much information as possible post haste would be greatly appreciated.

HP Envy Display Issues (Yellow Backlight in Corners)
(Edit: Well, since someone decided to edit this and make it into a completely new post instead leaving it as a reply to an already established post, which makes no sense to me, this post is now completely out of context. So now I need to edit it so that it makes sense. Thanks for that............)
So I have the HP Envy m7-n101dx. LIke others, I have some yellow appearing in the corners of the LCD screen.. It's more apparent when the screen is at a brighter setting. See image. Due to the nature of cameras, this is showing what it would look like at it's worse even though, currently, it's barely noticible at this currently moment.
Let me add to this something I just noticed.. I had my display on full bright for a while... When exiting the game I was playing (GTA 5, which has a dark screen with white text while the game is closing) that's when I first noticed it.. I lowered my brightness because it was getting a bit too bright for me (it's getting late.. lol) and I noticed the yellowing started going away. When I put the brightness back up, I notice it but it's not nearly as bad. Letting it stay full bright makes it come back full to where it had been previously..

Help with HP Envy Display Issues (Yellow Backlight in Corners)
I actually have the same exact problem as the original poster with the same exact laptop from best buy (HP ENVY m7-n101dx). During startup and during moments where the screen is black in color, there is a a yellowish tint in the corners of my screen. It's just very annoying to see in a brand new laptop. I also returned it multiple times for this same reason. I have never had this issue with any other laptop I've ever owned, including HP laptops. It seems that this is a widespread issue. HP, please tell me you can fix this for me.

Laptop screen is black not loading window
Sir I own a hp g42 laptop (i3 processer 500gb hard disk 3gb RAM 512mb graphic card)
Sir my laptop was working properly until today morning today I start my laptop it start normally but it's screen start showing graph on it then the system shutdown on its own. Then I again try to start the system it does not show any display and shut down after a minute on its own. Then I waited for a while remove the battery and charger then try to hard reset the system then star the system now it's on display is on now but only black screen is there no sign of window loading please help me out in this context

Driver error for ATI 7400M
I bit the bullet and upgraded my dv7 envy from 7 to 10, everything is working as it should
it boots in 9 seconds with the SSD i installed im currently running 8GB RAM
the system has QUAD-Core CPU, i've run windows update to the point it no longer
finds updates and is upto date, i have download and installed latest ATI CCC
i get the pop up error "No AMD Driver installed" etc but it is, but it does
have a yellow warning sign next to it i have attached screen shots to help

Screen Resolution problem
Hi guys, I have a problem.
Yesterday I bought an HP Notebook Pavilion 15 p215nl and I installed Win 10 immediately.
After I downloaded all my games from Win Store, I noticed that one of this call 'Doom & Destiny' has a wrong screen resolution. The image ofthe game isn't central but it is displaced to the left and to the right the screen is black totally, besides the game is too high and I can't watch the rest in down. In this way it's impossible to play it.
In other my PC (still with Win 10) the screen resolution game is perfect and without problem.
I have this problem only with this game and now I want describe you the notebook characteristics:
-Intel core i7 5500 CPU 2.40 GHz
-Intel HD Graphics 5500; NVIDIA GeForce 840M
Please can you help me?

Spectre X360 not switching to tablet mode
I have a brand new X360 that suddenly doesn't want to switch to tablet mode when flipped around. I have the setting checked to ask me before switching, but the prompt never comes up. What am I doing wrong?

HP Spectre x360 mini display port not outputting a signal
Recently purchased a Spectre X360 and just got around to getting a mini displayport adaptor so I can use that port instead of the displaylink adapter (ie USB). With the displayport adapter, I'm using a displayport to HDMI converter cable. Problem is, when I send a signal to the monitor, there is a message on the monitor stating "The current input timing is not supported by the monitor display. Please reset to 1920x1080 60hz".
I've tried unplugging the monitor's power, rebooting the computer, etc. and can't get anything to show on the monitor via the displayport. Going back to the usb output, it works great. The monitor menu only works when there is a working signal coming into it, thus it won't show when I'm trying the displayport signal.
The monitor is a Dell E2311H monitor.
Does anyone have any ideas?
