I upgraded my dv7-1175nr laptop to Win 8.1. Everything was working fine. Left for a couple of minutes and the the laptop was dead, except for two blinking lights on keyboard. Tried restarting by holding down power key until it stopped blinking and restarting, but would not even show bios mode on screen......checked out simular problems on forum and one answer was to remove battery and external power and hold down power button for 60 seconds "to reset laptop", put the battery back in and try it.....Well I was amazed, it worked!! My laptops screen was white one day on start up and it has been ever since. I have information on the laptop that I need. I figured I may have a couple of options.. One being, hook the laptop up to my TV and use that as a monitor or maybe another type of monitor in replace of the white-screened one. Second, somehow take the information from my laptop and just put it onto another computer by some means. Lastly, buy something to fix the white-screened problem.
I am not very educated on these kind of things and when I brought the laptop to geek squad to have them check it out they told me that the graphics card might of went on me.. Either way any and all help, tips, advice, etc is very much appreciated.

Horrible HP Support - They sent my laptop back damaged and won't fix it.
I sent my laptop into HP to fix a line going through screen (which occurred in the BIOS as well). I received a call from them indicating they would not fix it as it appeared the laptop was dropped. I told the person i talked to that the laptop had never been dropped and wasn't sure what they were talking about. Once i received the laptop back from them after they failed to fix the screen the laptop was definately dropped (or thrown). Basically i sent in a perfectly good laptop with minor screen issue and received back a laptop that wasn't fixed and had additional damages. I'm not sure if it was damaged during shipping or damaged by the techs (they dropped it). What i do know is that the laptop had NO physical damage when it was shipped. HP has failed to work with me.
The only reason i sent the system in is because i knew my warrantee was about to expire. Had i known they would send me back a computer in worse condition than i received it would have just kept it and dealt with the line on the screen.
I highly recommend to anyone out there to no longer purchase HP products as this is lousy customer service. I will no longer by an HP for personal use or for my business.

TV stopped identifying the laptop via HDMI cable
The problem started occuring when the PC got shutdown due to lack of battery charge. This problem occured last year when i purchased the laptop Model HP Pavilion dm4. The HP tech representative mentioned about some steps where we restore defaults in the BIOS settings. I dont remember the exact steps but whatever i tried in BIOS did not work. Also i tried installing graphics adaptor that did not help. Looking forward for help.

Hp Split X2 Screen Trouble
Don't know if anyone knows how to fix this issue, but I'm having a problem with my laptop screen. I just bot the Split X2, literally six hours ago and I can't seem to get the screen to come one. I installed all the updates and then windows 8 as well as office. Was working fine up until them.
Suddenly my screen went black and I can't do anything. The Windows Logo will light up when it is off the keyboard/docking station, but I can't seem to do anything. . . also the light next to the power supply is blinking white. . . no idea what's going on there.
Any help would be appreciated.

Touchscreen pointer continuously clicks on its own and is stuck on right side of screen

The touchscreen becomes unresponsive and unable to move the mouse from its current position. It looks like its continuously tapping on the right side of the screen all on its own. When trying to click on a different area of the touchscreen or trying to move the mouse with the laptop touchpad or external mouse, the mouse position reverts back to the area that was being tapped on by itself. The only resolution i've found so far is to shut down the computer all together. The problem eventually reappears on its own after a few hours or days. I tried running a virus scan and malware scan and have found nothing. I tried doing a regular restart and it doesn't fix the issue. Please help me troubleshoot this.

Damaged LCD
I have an HP Envy Sleekbook 6 and the LCD is Damaged its looks like there is a small crack in the middle
I have no idea what happened to it, it was sitting on my Locker and I turned it on today and the damage was there so I don't know what happened
It is under Warranty untill the 18th of January if i send it off for repair will it be covered under warranty?
Any help would be greatly appreciated

Laptop screen
My wife bought me this laptop less than a year ago and 6 months after i had it the left top pf my screen started fading and within a few days it looked like there was a tear down my screen I never damaged the laptop it did this on its own and called hp and they said my warranty didnt cover it this is a load of craph. Seriously a new scren cost more than the laptop cost at wal mart where she got it for me and she loved hp and said they were a reliable co been around for a long time!! Yeah whatever, they need to oether replace my screen and you can tell this is a factory flaw nothing i have done or just send me another laptop same kind idc just that has a scren that is not gonna split or get hot or what ever the hell happened. But I am outraged that this co my wife believed in for yrs will not even back up the laptop. Needless yo say I bought my wife a new laptop for her b day, and I got her a toshiba thanks alot hp. She has bought hp from when it was packard bell now toshiba will get her business. At least fix the factory flaw in my screen cuz I have a kid and cant just go out and buy a new laptop when a company decides to make something they wont even stand behind. will be watching very closely this is the hp 2000 series i know of where the screen has a major factory flaw , SO DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT AND QUIT JACKING PPL AROUND

Failure to adjust screen resolution
I upgraded my DV9500 laptop from Vista to Windows 8, after that option for adjustment of screen resolution has been disabled automatically. How do I adjust the screen resolution or what driver do I need to solve the problem. My laptop has nVIDIA graphhics card and AMD Turion64X2 processor.

HP Pavilion dv6 3022us laptop won't display at all
I have an HP Pavilion dv6 3022us laptop and it seems to be starting differently and will not show anything on the screen. I've tried emergency shut-down, unplugging and removing the battery, but that didn't make a difference. When I start it up, all it does is try to access the DVD drive and the CAPs button flashes, but the screen is black. I can't hit the F10 to access the set-up either.

Hello, I have this problem for now some time, I am trying to figure out how to fix it.
I use a laptop from HP, called HP Pavillion DV6-6047cl Entertainment PC. It has Intel HD Graphics and Radeon 6770 Graphics. I make videos on Youtube about Minecraft, I used to record Minecraft on 30 fps, 50 fps, 60 fps, and I wouldnt have any crashes but now I have crashes on 30 fps. I need help, please help me out, this problem is preventing me from making videos. Thank you. -Umer

HP 1000-1413 Notebook No HDMI
I may connect the VGA port to the monitor and there is NO signal when I use HDMI cable.
To make sure it is the notebook instead of the monitor compatibilities, I change another monitor and no signals again....
Very frustrated as it is a New PC within 6 months and I have not installed anything new!!

On the last week i get my laptop from service center. It was cleaned from dust.
After that my laptop became less warm. I see this. But it doesn't work properly. There are problems with video games and animation at the main screen of windows 7: delays in animation and video games such as world of tanks.
Before cleaning my laptop doesn't have such problems.
I thought that there are some soft problems.
Than i restored windows to factory settings. This get me nothing. I have one or two programs installed by me now. One of them is video game World of tanks. But problems are here too.
I tried to update graphiс drivers for
Intel High-Definition (HD)2012-04-12 , ver.8.15.10.2476
than
AMD High-Definition2011-11-18 , ver.8.882.2.3000
from official web page HP support in Russia.
But even here i got problems.
After activating driver setup file i've got message "your system doesn't require system requirements"
I don't know what i must to do now. I hopeyou can help me.
