When ever I try to open a video that I have in folders the video does not play, it just has the audio playing with a picture of the thumbnail instead of the video, I had videos playing just fine a few days ago, but only now they are not working.

Driverupdate to fix black screen in boot- windows 10 !

Question:
Is there a new driver being released for my card AMD Radeon HD 6755G2 ? (dual grafics)
Because the latest driver causes a black /blank screen in boot. Sequence: wenn turn on u see hp and than boot logo win 10 after that it hangs in a black screen for 2 minutes or so and than windows 10 start. (about 2 ,5 minutes later)
i now have installed a windows 8 driver (with issues) and windows starts in 6 seconds (with normal harddrive ) .
i cant play games but the bootspeed is good.
So is there a fix or is there 1 coming?

HP Pavilion 11x2 cannot adjust resolution
I have a HP Pavilion 11x2 Notebook PC and recently downloaded the gaming app, Steam, so that I could play some old PC games! However when I try to run the games an error message pops up saying, 'Display mode 1024x768x8 not found. Game cannot run.'
I am trying to change the resolution to 1024x768 however I can't seem to change it from the reccommended 1366x768! There is a red bar that cannot be moved and in the settings folder the drop down box is faded out/unable to be selected.
Any advice would be great, thanks.

HP Pavilion g7-2270us flashing display
Boot laptop. Log into Windows. When desktop appears, the display begins to flash every half second between desktop & purple backround nonstop. Going to app screen same. Using another account same. Mouse moves but unable to navigate. If I open Task Mgr. with keyboard, it stops flashing. Tried hard reset, external monitor, & no battery. Same results.

HP Pavilion m7 external monitor issue
Hi,
I am having issues with connecting an external monitor to my laptop. I have an HP Pavilion m7-1015dx. I have an external Dell 22 inch monitor connected via VGA. It worked at my office, and when I brought it home, that same night it doesn't work when connedted to my laptop. I have went to the screen resolution page and it shows both monitors there. When I connect and disconnect the VGA cable, my laptop flickers, like it is in some way recognizong the external monitor. My mouse even scrolls over to the "ghost" monitor. I have restarted my computer, updated drivers, rolled back drivers, messed with properties/settings, all that I can think of. Is there some magical hidden setting to have an external monitor work?
I even replaced the VGA cord once thinking I had a faulty cord. I have also pressed the input/output detect feature on the external monitor. I know the monitor works as I can see the dell system pictures when turning on/off and searching the inputs.

i recently installed windows 8.1 on my device.however i am unable to have proper screen display.
it used to operate properly on windows 8.however the recent update seems to have some sort of difficulties with the present windows 8.1

Re: an error message when I run this prog
Every time I run the Eduke32.exe MSDOS emulator for the Dos game Dukem Nukem 3D game I get the following error message. "unsupported opengl driver detected. GL modes will be unavailable". When I click on the OK button in the box and the game continues to load and runs. When I was using the same Eduke emulator and the same OS on my GateWay MD2614U laptop before the GateWay went belly up and croaked I didn't have this problem. I asked on the Eduke32 support forum about this. They told me to update the graphics video driver. I tried to find the driver for Win7 Home 32bit on the HP web site. Nothing availble for Win7 for this laptop. I tried the Vista driver for this laptop and got an error massage saying that this Vista driver won't work in Win7. So what now? is there a way to solve this problem?

line flashes in the middle of the screen

videos such as youtube dont work when i upgraded to windows10
After upgrading from Win 8.1 to 10, typically a youtube video will show only black screen but sound works. Often I only get "This video cannot be played" or similar error. Sometimes a video will show a green pattern screen. Some videos work haltingly.
The display driver is up to date per HP assistant driver check. Similar results for Edge, Chrome and Mozilla.

HDMI can not be set to 2560x1080
I am having problem getting the HDMI video to use 2560x1080 resolution on my LG 25UM64-S monitor. The max I can select is 1920x1080. I am already on the latest video driver for this notebook according to HP's driver download page. There is no cable issues with my HDMI cables. I have tried HDMI to DVI and straight HDMI cables, all did not work. These cables are working just fine when I used them with my Asus notebook and desktop. I would hate for this laptop's video to be this limited as this would reduce its usefulness by a great deal. I sure hope that a laptop model that is only less than 2 years old can support resolutions beyond 1080p. Hope to receive a satisfying solution or else my first HP notebook experience will be really bad that I don't think I will be a return customer.

External screen is blurry
Hello,
I've got a problem with our laptop or/and docking station. The external screen is blurry. I don't know how to get it sharp.
I already tried some things (installed software again for the dockingstation and tried to update Display
Link software). It looks like the software is not compatible with Windows 10.
With windows 7 the screen was sharp.
Can someone help me with this issue?

Dead Pixels
We received our brand new Spectrex360 - model4030a yesterday and after unpackaging it and starting it up we noticed that there was at least one dead pixel in the upper left area of the screen. Aproximately 1 cm from the left and 2 cm down from the top. Any ideas on how to fix this issue? I have tried a few of the ideas from the internet with various flashing screens but nothing has seemed to work.

turning off switchable graphics
Hi ,
I have AMD switchable graphics and to be honest it is not doing its job .
my computer detects only and only the intel HD card ,
I want to disable this feature and have my computer just run the AMD GPU ,
reaserching this online I found that you can switch from dynamic mode to fixed mode through the bios , but I cant seem to find this option ,
can I please have some assistance ? thank you .
