I recently installed windows 10 and found that the current HP NVIDIA driver does not work with Windows 10. I have had to install an NVIDIA driver for the GT750M card in my laptop but have lost the ability to use it and to have switchable graphics. Everything is curently using the integrated intel graphics. Are there plans to release a new NVIDIA driver that works with Windows 10?

Requesting assistance for procedure to check display connections on laptop

My HP Pavilion g6-1b78nr Notebook display works intermittently. At times, the screen is blue/gray and does not display anything or the display jumps in and out of visibility. In the past, I've performed a hard reset with success. The display appears on an external monitor. According to tech support, it may be a loose display connection. I'd like to check the display connections myself; however, looking at the manual, it appears the display assembly would need to be disassembled to check the display cable connection on the display panel. Is this procedure something a non-professional could undertake? Which connection side (system board or display panel) is more common to be loose?  Thanks, in advance, for any assistance. Manual is available at: http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c02829479

F2 and F3 brightness controls not functioning after Windows 10 Upgrade

Cannot adjust brightness using F2 or F3 keys, cannot adjust brightness in control panel either.  Seems to be stuck at highest setting.  Have tried installing a couple of drivers from HP site, but not helping.  Became an issue immediately after Windows 10 upgrade, worked fine before.

I  can see the display without any problems if I connect to an external display. The laptop's warranty has expired.

What is the problem? How much would it cost to fix this issue?

HP Pavilion dv7-4083cl : Unable to use the ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5470 in Windows 10

HP Pavilion dv7-4083cl

I cound't find any way to make Windows 10 to use the ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5470.

It is always using the Intel card.

In the BIOS there is no way to disable the Intel card to make the ATI card always active.

How to make this work?

I cannot simply use the Intel card. The HDMI output does not work, and I need to use a 2nd monitor (one is not enough).

This machine is not that old!!

Is this the kind of support that HP provides? No updated drivers?

I'll NEVER EVER purchase an HP machine again.

Laptop Won't Wake Up From Sleep + Long Boot Up Time

Been waiting for an update from MS or HP for almost a month now, and there's nothing. No official drivers, nothing.

Model: HP DV6-6030EW.

OS: Windows 10 64-bit

Issue #1 - on the startup, after the initial Windows logo, there's a black screen for about 45 seconds before I get to log in.

Issue #2 - if I put laptop in sleep mode, and try to wake it up - the screen doesn't wake up, I can hear the sound, but display is just black.

I'm using official Windows 10 drivers - both Intel and AMD.

I guess I could try updating BIOS but I have no idea which is the correct and latest version available for my laptop.

Currect BIOS version - F.1B  2011,10.05

My screen resolution is set at the reccomended setting of 1366x768 however a yellow triangle message "Your resolution is less then 1200x900.  Some items might not fit on your screen."   Some of my programs, such as Roxio programs give me messages stateing my resolution is below 1200x900 and will not work.  My slides and video seem to work fine.  I have set the resolution to different settings above 1200x900 but to no avail.

I recently re-installed Windows 7 Home Premium x64-bit onto my HP Pavilion g7-1338dx using a system image. Everything installed smoothly. However, my aero glass now does not work. I am given the following error:

UPDATE THE DRIVER FOR YOUR VIDEO CARD.

The current video card may support Aero with a driver that is compilant with Windows Driver Display Model (WDDM). Contact the manufacturer of your computer or video card for a WDDM-compatible driver.

I have downloaded the appropriate driver for my laptop and it has not done anything. How can I fix this issue?

Windows 10 disables display adapters

After upgrading (for the second time) from Windows 8.1 to Windows 10, both display adapters (Intel HD Graphics 4600 and NVIDA GeForce GT 740M) are disabled with this message:

Windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems. (Code 43)

I installed the latest drivers from the websites for Intel and NVIDIA as well as from HP for both Win8.1 and Win10 (at separate times).

Also the brightness buttons (F2 and F3) on the keyboard do not work.

I was advised by HP to verify that all drivers and OS updates were up to date
and then perform the Windows 10 upgrade again. I did this.

These are the same problems from the first upgrade.

I suspect that it has something to do with how the OS switches between the two adapters.

It may be I need to abandon my early adopter postion and roll back to Win8.1 and wait few months......

Can't disable pinch zoom on Pavilion

The pinch zoom keeps going off while I'm typing, and I can't disable it. I've looked at other solutions that are posted here, but none work on my computer (e.g. the instructions will say to click on an option that I don't have). I've also tried searching my Settings for "pinch zoom" "zoom" "click pad" "clickpad" "touchpad" and "touch pad", and although I was able to find OTHER settings for the touchpad, I can't find a way to turn off the pinch zoom (and it's driving me crazy, because it does it ALL THE TIME)

Multi-touch on touchscreen not working.

Like the title implies the multi-touch function on touchscreen is not working. I used to be able to pinch to zoom in/out and all those gestures that require more than one finger. I upgraded to windows 10 and then performed a clean install as I heard that it was higly recommended performance wise. Now I know the clean install wiped all the drivers out, most of which I installed back with the exception of whatever driver it is that drives the multi-touch on the touchscreen. If anyone can direct me to this expecific driver to download it as I can't seem to find it anywhere or offer any other solution, I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you in advance.
