Cant update AMD 7670m drivers

I tried out every ( official stable , no beta versions ) of AMD drivers version 13.9 ( tried mobilty and normal versions just to be sure ) and non of them are working... I bought this notebook to play some games on it and now I cant even get my GPU working. When I try to install 13.9 mobility 64 bit ( I am sure I have 64 bit system, I am not a PC newbie ) it says that I dont have 64 bit OS. The same with 32 bit drives. And the 13.9 desktop drivers aint working too... "package instalation failure". I just want to install the latest drivers so I can play League of Legends and Battlefield 4.

Two monitor output on Pavillion DV7 qe

I have a Pavillion DV7 Quad Edition Notebook PC, it has a VGA output and an HDMI output. I would like to have 2 extra screens (one monitor and one TV) plugged in at the same time, but don't know if my video card will support it. I'd rather not test it since I am concerned it may damage the computer if I plug in two outputs if the graphics card is only meant to handle 1. Please let me know if this is a supported feature or not. Thanks.

HP ProBook 6460b blue screens when plugged into a projector

Has anyone else had this issue?  I have seen it on two different laptops now.  Both are HP ProBook 6460b.   When the user plugs the laptop into a VGA cable that is connected to a projector, the laptop blue screens and reboots.

The laptop doesn't bluescreen and reboot when connected to monitors, but usually the users are using a docking station when connected to a monitor, or monitors.  I haven't seen any issues with plugging in a VGA cable connected to a monitor, but that is rare.

I've tried updating drivers, but haven't had any luck.

ProBook 4530s graphic drivers not updated for Windows 7

Hello,

I contacted the support team long time ago about outdated ATI/Intel switchable graphics drivers. The ATI drivers are more than 2 years old and that's ridiculus. Everybody knows how important is to have updated graphic drivers. Anyway after a long conversation between me and the HP support I found out that nothing will be done about this problem...

A month ago, after Windows 8.1 came out I saw that new graphic drivers came out and surprisingly the AMD video drivers are the latest version (13.15). But why only for Windows 8.1, why would you update the drivers for Windows 8.1 only but not for all other operating systems (or at least Windows 7)? Is this some kind of way to "force" people to use Windows 8.1 or you just forget to make updated drivers for Windows 7 aswell? I really hope that this problem will be solved.

Pavilion g6-2310sd Can't find the right display driver

Hey all, I had to reinstall this pc because of a virus and I can't seem to find the correct video driver because on hp's driver page I can only download the windows 8 version. And yes I have downgraded from windows 8 to windows 7 and it worked perfectly for the last 6 months, but i have no idea which driver I have used.

The pc contains a switchable Ati 7670M card that switches with the integrated videocard for power saving.

The hardware id's are:

PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_0166

PCI\VEN_1002&DEV_6840

Kind Regards,

John

Radeon HD 8750M

I have a HP 6t-1200 CTO Ultrabook with the Radeon HD 8750M and Intel 4000 switchable graphics.

Problem:  When I am operating with Windows 8 they function normally, but upon updating to Windows 8.1 the AMD drivers fail to be able to initiate and D3D.

1.  Most current driver is dated 2013-01-14

2.  Generic drivers do not recognize the hardware

3.  Drivers for other HD 8xxx series based HP laptops do not resolve the problem

Current workaround:  Open the Catalyst Control Center and go to switchable graphics application settings under the power tab.  Switch anything that uses DirectX to run in power saving mode, this will run those applications using the intel 4000 graphics which has a more current driver that works with Windows 8.1.

Solution:  For now I believe that the only solution is to wait for HP and Microsoft to work together on creating a newer driver.  Once that newer driver is released it should resolve the problem. The other solution is to permanently stick to Windows 8 and not update to Windows 8.1.  This is a bit more difficult though since Microsoft pushes 8.1 very aggressively.  There might be a way to make the notifications and automatic attempts to update stop, but I have not looked into that solution.

If you know of a solution or a better workaround than what I have posted please share it with the forums. I can only hope that HP is working on creating a newer driver and releasing it as soon as possible. If there is anyone that knows of a release date of a potentially newer driver from HP please also share.

Bad video or led screen or bad video cable

I have a Compaq Presario CQ61-411WM CCFL 1366 x 768 LED laptop that was dropped and had a cracked screen, I couldn't see anything but lines on the screen, So I replaced the screen with a new screen with a conversion kit. I couldn't get any video on the screen, but I was able to get video on an external monitor, so I ordered a used video cable off of ebay, and when I installed the used video cable I was able to get video, but the desktop and icons were distorted and not clear. When I opened a web page online the pictures were blurry and distorted, and the writing and letters on the page were clear. I just did a fresh install of windows 7 home premium and I used the recovery DVD's to do this and also I used the driver DVD provided with the computer.  I reinstalled windows 7 thinking that there was something wrong with the video driver and that didn't fix the picture or screen clarity. But when I connected an external monitor to the laptop the screen clarity and contrast and icons and color were all fine.  I also had moving wavey lines and distorted colors on the laptop screen, but again everything on the external monitor was good, clear and perfect to read and view.

I don't know if the LED monitor is bad, or if I purchased a bad video cable.

I want to order another video cable off of ebay, but I'll wait and get some feedback here.

dv6t-3000 graphics fails on booting to windows 8.1

Product number: WF536AV

Shortly after installing 8.1, the display began going black upon initiating Windows: I power up, the HP screen comes up, then the Windows screen with the small window in the center and the spinning wheel.  Then the screen goes black.  Sometimes I can see the login screen very faintly, often, not.  If I log in, the screen goes completely black.

If I cycle the power several times, the display will work.

I had Windows 8 in place for about a year before going to 8.1.  I had no problem with graphics then, but I did get an occasional message (don't recall if it was from HP Support Assistant, which doesn't work in 8.1, or from Windows) saying that the Radeon needed a new driver.  I'd check Properties and find that the driver was current.

Two adapters are installed and enabled: Mobility Radeon 5000, and Intel(R) HD Graphics.  Properties says that both devices are working and current drivers are installed.

I've looked through posts and haven't seen this particular problem, but it appears that there are difficulties with both graphics adapters in 8.1.

I've run the HP diagnostics twice and everything passes, so apparently the hardware is all ok.

Windows updates are current.

I haven't tried disabling an adapter for fear of disabling the wrong one and ending up with a permanently black screen.

Any thoughts?

[Pavilion dv6-6190sp] Problem with AMD HD 6770M (drivers and maybe hardware)

Hello.

Well Im very unhappy and frustrated with my pc because i've been struggling with this for quite a time.

It's been a while that my PC is like this: Slow even on windows and on browser(freezes sometimes when waching videos or using mediaplyer), can't play any game due to massive FPS drops and so on.

When this started to happen, I updated my graphic card's and BIOS drivers (from HP website). Even switched to "Fixed" mode through the BIOS. The maximum ammount of fps i could get raised but the drops kept happening.

After some time (weeks or days) some horizontal dashed lines started to appear on the top of the screen, it started with 1 or 2 and now it's on some more. They are pretty visible and also appear on the BIOS screen.

Games that i used to run with no problem with around 50-100 fps stable are now dropping every 10 seconds or so.

This is really frustrating and pisses me off a lot, because I can't play any game properly!

I've tried to changed back to "Dynamic" and these issues still happen.

I read so much post, so much opinions so much pages and forums and can't fix this.

I've never had this kind of problem before and I'm really desperate to fix this!

Thanks for your time!

Notes:

Windows 7 64 bits

Im using the latest graphic, bios etc drivers from HP
