Okay. So my previous issue where the sleep mode function stopped working has gotten worse. Now the laptop doesn't even shut down. The screen goes black after it says 'shut down' but the power light is still on and i can hear the fan still running. Just before the screen goes black, the fan runs at a ver fast and alarming rate. Please tell me there is an easy fix to this

Touch screen not working on Sleekbook -- doesn't even show up in HP Diagnostics startup utility
The touch screen on my laptop hasn't responded to touch for a while (otherwise it displays everything fine/works with mouse and touchpad, just no direct touch inputs).
When I go into the Windows "system properties" it says "Full Windows touch support with 10 touch points;" however, when I use the HP Hardware Diagnostic tool on startup, touch screen doesn't even appear in the list of "components."
I've reinstalled/updated drivers and it hasn't helped. Does the fact that it doesn't even show up in the Hardware Diagnostic menu mean it's just broken hardware? Is there anything else I can do/try?

ATI HD 5470 does not work Windows 10
I upgrade to Windows 10 64bit from Windows 7
Display is not possible with ATI Radeon 5470, no switch possible for HD 4200.
Not working any driver from HP support page (Windows 7)
Not working any driver from AMD Catalyst (Windows 7, 8, 10)
I only can install driver from Windows Update for HD 4200 series, HD 5470 listed as Windows Basic Display (code 31 or code 43), when Windows Update get automatically the driver for HD 5470: HD4200 gone out en I return to basic display.

my hp pavilion 15-n039tu touch screen stopped working. i am on the windows start screen and cant open on search the tablet pc settings. i go to control panel > display but there is no calibrate or any settings to activate the touch screen. where else can i go have this working? i can't work properly on this as the screen function is different when you use a mouse. any suggestions on how to fix this??

Nvidia GeForce graphics card not showing up in display adapters
Hello, I bought an HP Envy 15t-j100 about a year and half ago. I never really paid attention to what my computer had/didnt have. I thought that i was buying a genuine product from hp so i didnt look into this. Recently i started getting into gaming and noticed that my computer couldnt handle most games i had really low fps on games that should be able to run easily on this computer because it supposedly has an NVIDIA GEFORCE. So i was confused as to why i could barely play these games without having my computer blow up. I checked my computers displays adapters and noticed it only had an Intel(R) HD Graphics 4600. When it's supposed to have and NVIDIA card as well. I then looked for possible solutions which none have worked. I downloaded the NVIDIA driver from the HP support website but that did not work because it couldn't find any NVIDIA hardware. I have restored my computer multiple times to see if it would pop up but it has not. I'm starting to think that i was sold a product that is faulty or was false advertised to me and since the warranty on this computer is expired i really don't know what to do but come here and hope i can get an answer.

Envy x2 13t - Intel HD Graphics 5300 Driver for Windows 10
So far, HP has not released a driver for the Intel HD Graphics 5300 card in Windows 10. Since upgrading, I can no longer connect to any external display, whether physically connected or wireless. I found the driver on Intel's site and tried to install it, but the installation failed, indicating that HP uses a custom version of the driver. Does anybody have any idea when HP will release this driver? I NEED to be able to connect to external displays!

Switchable graphics on Windows 10
Hello!
I decided to upgrade from Win 7 to Win 10 (64-bit). After upgrade I lost the possibility to switch between my two graphics. (Intel HD and AMD mobility radeon HD 5000 series).
Also, I can not change brightness of my display.
I tried to uninstall the graphics drivers (both) and let the Windows 10 install them automatically, but that did not work. I also tried to install older versions of graphics driver, even in compatibility mode. It did not help.
Also, when I try to play any full-screen game, a blank display appears, although the game is running properly (I can hear it and the game responds to buttons).
If anyone have the same difficulties and/or can help me, I would be much gratefull.

EDIT: I see more posts with similar problems - I am going to read them and eventualy find the solution myself.

W7 Starter Upgrading to W10
I wish to avail of the free upgrade to Windows 10 but my W10 app says my "pc can't upgrade to W10 for reasons of incompatibility" with my Intel(R) Graphics Media Accelerator 3600 Series. Is there any available driver that I can download that will work with my W7 SP1 and qualify me for the upgrade? Pls help.

adjust screen brightness not working on 6735b laptop
The screen setting is always at the lowest setting when I boot up. I type in Adjust screen brightness and click on it. the slider is cantankerous it fights me sometimes it takes ten minuets to get the slider over where it is bright enough to see. The function key's do not work. I can not contact HP seem's like they could not be bothered. The make it impossible.
I contacted Microsoft at least he tried to help but it did not solve the problem. Dose anyone have any idea's hot to fix this problem. Thank You Bob

HP - Split x2 Ultrabook Model 13-g110dx Touch Freezes
I recently purchased a HP HP - Split x2 Ultrabook - Model # 13-g110dx and I am pretty happy with the ultrabook. The ultrabook came installed with Windows 8 which I upgraded to Windows 10 and after that all Windows 10 updates were installed and the latest drivers from HP as well. However I have noticed that the touch stops responding after sometime and I have to restart the laptop to make it work again.
Another issue I've seen today is the touch pad stopped responding and I again had to restart. Is there any way to diagnoize whats happening and fix the issue?
I saw the same issue occur when I had upgraded from Windows 8 to WIndows 8.1. Back then the solution posted here worked for me. However doesn't seem to work for Windows 10.
Has anyone else tried to upgrade this laptop to Windows 10?

HP dv7-6b78us integrated microphone and webcam
I havent been able to use the webcam or integrated microphone for what seems like forever. Ive looked at tons of support threads trying to solve it to no avail. the webcam isnt listed in the device manager and im assuming the microphone array is in some way connected to that issue as well. Ive called tech support numerous times purchased an extended warranty that apparantly Hp has no record of Im at my wits end please help me

Screen Goes Black
I'm having pretty much the same problem. When I plug the power cord in, the screen goes dark. The brightness settings aren't backwards though, I've tried that. If my computer is off when I plug it in, then turn it on, it's fine. The screen only goes dark if I plug it it when it's already on...

Display adapter GeForce 7000M nForce 610M will not work with Win 10 upgrade from Win 7 Pro 32 Bit
Windows Update trying to upgrade tells me that the GeForce 7000M nForce610M is incompatible with Windows 10.
Is there a driver or firmware to install that would make it compatible or do I need to have the display adapter changed in this laptop and how will that be done.
Presently the driver for this adapter is Version 7.15.11.7948.
179.48 listed in nVidia as the latest .
OS Windows 7Pro 32 Bit. running well without any problems.
Any help, suggestions and assistance will be greatly appreciated.
