Can please somebody tell me what graphics card this laptop has? I am planning to buy this laptop, and I have tried to search it, but on some places, they say that it is an Intel HD Graphics card, and on others, it says that it is a Nvidia NVS 3100M. Which one of these is it? And also how much dedicated graphics memory does it have? And if there are two different models, could you then also tell me whether there is any other difference between them?

display driver suddenly stopped working & BSOD shown as
i tried to install new amd raedon software. but problem sustained.
also try to window update, but no soln shown.

hp envy laptop external monitors
I want to know can I connect 2 external monitors and have both running along with the laptop monitor, so that I would have 3 displays going at the same time?
I only have 1 HDMI port.
Been researching and found there is something called a USB to HDMI, but don't know if I buy it if it will still allow me to run both external monitors at the same time.

Envy mh J120DX Laptop - Dual Monitors
I am interested in adding a second monitor to my laptop. The monitor I plan on using does not have HDMI. Therefore I am using an DVI to HDMI Cable.
When I connect to the lapto, the monitor on the Envy starts flashing on and off and also the display changes from normal to large to small. It goes continuously until I disconnect the cable.
My question is this, can I hook up a second monitor using the scenario I described above? If not is there any way of connecting a second monitor to the Envy?

HP Envy 4-1001tu Brightness and Volume buttons - no animations
Hi all,
After trawling the internet, I haven't found a solution to this. I did sort out the Beats button using the HP QuickLaunch Software, based on this thread.
After completing a fresh install on the laptop, the brightness and volume buttons final work, although there is no animation (which used to be here), to indicate a scale of how bright/loud something is. So this is minor, but I feel like if it used to be here, so perhaps it's a simple fix. Any ideas what I need to do to get the brightness/volume animations appearing when using the fn buttons?

I have a persistent problem with my GPU. As soon as my screen displays anykind of 3d modelled graphic in game it either; freezes the game and displays "Display Driver has stopped working and has been recovered" or freezes my whole system and I have to hard reboot, no BSOD (these problems occur just after a few seconds of on screen rendering)
Honestly, I have no clue what is going on, 'cause I have tried DriveSweep, CCCleaner, Registry Clean, Install/Uninstall Drivers old ones (default drivers for my Laptop) & new ones (latest drivers for Mobility Graphics from ATIs sites). But still, the problem is always the same.
Further on I have done a memory test within Windows Diagnostics, no error.
Prime95 stress-tested my CPU, no error.
FurMark stress test my GPU, no error.
I am completely stumped, what is going on? There is no other problem with my computer just when I try and run games, temperatures are within range aswell.
How can running a video game cripple my hardware within seconds, albeit stress testing CPU & GPU at 100% load and 95+Celcius is totally fine?
Like I said, I've tried so many solutions, but none avail. Could this really in the end be a hardware problem? Ie. burnt out Hardware, old components, heat sink out of place? If so, last resort is popping the case on my laptop and re-applying cooling paste on the componets to see if it helps.

Black screen?!
Hello.
So today I wanted to start up my laptop and the screen doesn't work, it's just black. The HP logo behind is lighting, but the screen is completely black, it's not the it lights black, just nothing. But the laptop it self works fine, I can hear the fan, I wait like 30 seconds and I can hear the first windows bootup sound, I type my password and then I hear the 2nd bootup sound, but the screen is just black! The caps lock and num lock aren't flashing. Keep in mind my battery doesn't work!

HP Pavilion dv9700 wavy lines on screen
Upon powering up my laptop has wavy/flickering lines all over the screen. Having this problem more frequently now. Almost every time I power up. Any help much appreciated.

Playing the PS3 on my laptop?
I told a sales associate at Walmart that I wanted a laptop so I could play my PS3 on it as I have two and my son is always playing the one. The associate sold me the HP Touchsmart 15-f125WM claiming it could do just that. Now that I have got around to trying it I am starting to wonder if the notebook only does output with the HDMI port as I have it connected to my laptop , but am unsure if there is something else I have to do in order to see the PS3 XMB on my screen.

Volume and Brightness indicator not working
I've seen this problem in other threads, but none that are current.
This has happened to me frequently, the sound and brightness indicator suddenly stops working. I also have Beats audio on my laptop. I use the f2 and f3 buttons for brightness, and f9 and f10 for volume.
Many of the other threads recommending re-installing or updating the IDT Audio driver. Using this website I updated the audio driver but still the indicators are not showing.
Now what do I do??
