zBook 14 support for 4096x2160 resolution

Hello. I have a zBook 14 running Windows 8.1 Enterprise, 16GB of Ram, 64 bit, with switchable graphics (Intel HD Graphics 5500 and AMD FirePro M4150).  I am interested in puchasing and hooking up this laptop to a mointor with true 4K 4096x2160 resolution.

From the HP QuickSpecs document for my machine it says the following.

DisplayPort w/MST (Multi-stream Transport) Supports resolutions up to QFHD 3840 x 2160, 24/30-bit color depth at 60 Hz, and WUXGA (1920 x 1200) monitors, with 24/30-bit color depth up to 120 Hz.

http://www8.hp.com/h20195/v2/GetDocument.aspx?docname=4AA5-3655ENUC

That would lead me to believe that it isn't able to drive 4096x2160, though from what I understand that resolution is possible over DisplayPort with the Intel Graphics HD 5500. Does the documentation not mention up to the 4096x2160 resolution because there weren't monitors available at the time of writing or will my zBook really not support that resolution or will it work through the DisplayPort (both in the laptop and through the dock)?

Thanks in advance for your reply.

Elitebook 8440p WebCam

I purchased a Elitebook 8440p without a internal webcam.  I purchased a internal webcam and installed it without complications, until I tried to install the drivers and software from hp support. I get a message that reads (setup has determined that your configuration does not support any of the included products. There is no mention of a webcam or image device in the bios or device manager for me to turn on or enable. Perhaps I need to reinstall the O.S. I would think not?  Am I out of luck?

I have found the M.P.N. IT IS :smileytongue:K40000AI00

HP Envy Touch Screen not working

I have an HP Evvy 4-1238tx Sleekbook.  The touch screen is no longer working at all.  It stopped working off and on for a short time and then now it's not responded.   I have tried going back to a previous recovery point with no help.  Under the PC Properties, it shows No pen or touch is available for this display.  I have deleted the video drivers and reinstalle from HP website.  I have done all of the updates I can find.  No help.  The screen itself is clean.  Is there a way to test to see if the problem is hardware or software?  Are there any Wacom or other drivers that I can download to get it to work?

Laptop low graphics core clock (200 mhz always)

Hello. Is there any way how I can adjust my gpu core clock? Because it's really low and I need the extra mhz for gaming. I play league of legends in the lowest settings and I get 20+ fps only during teamfights and it really affects my gameplay. In the software called gpu-z I see that my gpu core clock stays the same at all times (200 mhz only) and the memory clock is 800 mhz at all times too.

Also I know that hp does not support overclocking (which I have tried to get that little boost) and I am thinking of replacing this laptop.

I have the amd radeon (tm) r5 graphics  and the processor amd a8-6410 apu with radeon graphics (quad core) 8 gb of ram.

Please tell me there's a way of increasing my fps because I really expected much from this laptop. Thanks in advance!

PS All my drivers are updated

I bought last week my HP Envy 15-j151sa Notebook and whenever I'm on battery power, the screen keeps flickering. It seems to work fine when the AC is plugged in. I've just updated the BIOS as well. What should I do to stop the flickering?

Thanks.

The harddisk on my notebook recently died and I had a factory reset undertaken by HP.  My laptop was bought in Belgium and I had set it to display in English.

It has today been returned from HP and displays in Dutch, which I cannot read.  How to change back to English so that I can start to rebuild my folders etc?  It was running windows 7 but may have been updated to 8.1?

hp dvt-6b32us Win 8.1 web cam does not work.

Followed instructions on HP web site but to no avail.

Device monitor does not see the camera.

I suspect it is a Windows 8.1 defect, but HP should be on top of it because I am not the only person experiencing this problem.

Windows 8.1 - Radeon HD 6470M PROBLEMS.

Hello. I wrote you a few days ago, but you didn't answer me.

I can't find driver for AMD Radeon HD 6470M, on my HP Pavilion G6-1262er (Windows 8.1).

After update from Windows 8.0 to 8.1, driver don't work!

AMD installation don't propose to install driver. It propose only some tools (It's driver from HP website, special for my Pavilion g6-1262er). I can't work in Photoshop and Premiere without video driver.

Windows 8.1 automatically indexed my HD 6470M as 7400M, and I can't run the Adobe Premiere, Adobe Photoshop and other programms.

I need only the Windows 8.1 (not 8 or 7), how I can run the AMD Radeon video on this OS?

It's very important, please help me :smileysad:

Thanks.
