The computer is clearly on and with a flashlight we can see its content on the screen. However, the screen appears extremely dark and the brightening keys do not change the display. The screen continues to be black. Can someone please shed some light on this and provide some possible solutions? Thanks for your help.

Screen flickers rapidly. Please help
Hello, can anyone help me fix my display problem. My screen flickers EXTREMELY bad to the point where its unusable at times. I'm not sure exactly when it started but it was sometime late last year and I have to sometimes rig it so that the screen works properly. I tried to anaylyze it and I think it could be my charger port because whenever my laptop isn't plugged in, the screen flickers contantly to the point where everything is white. Now when I do keep my charger in, I have to put a piece of folded tissue or something thick between the charger end and the end of my USB mouse and sometimes position the laptop a certain way so I could use it. However, when I attach an HDMI cord to it the screen goes berserk and is only viewable via TV no matter what way I position it. I believe I updated my drivers and bios last month after searching this issue online because I have something called Raptr for gaming which is mostly what I use this laptop for.

Graphics Card Problems(Radeon(TM) 6770 HD)
Im having problems with my Radeon(tm) 6770 HD graphics card. I just got the laptop and reinstalled windows and re-did everything. But it couldn't find the graphicss drivers. Ive download the catalyst control panel stuff and the amd drivers and it still isn't finding the Graphics card. Please help soon, having soo many problems on my games.
Also i know this is the Display/Video section but also im having audio problems. I can't record my friends on skype when we play games. Anyone know how to fix that? And when i disable the speakers(built in) I can hear them fine but not anything else i do(nothing).

HP Pavilion DVR7 4177 Black Screen Caps light blinking non stop Internet button red
My computer HP Pavilion DvR7 4177 en laptop Windows 7 with 18 inch screen fan runs caps light blinks continually, Red light near number locks, BLACK SCREEN, after went into hybernation. Have read numerous posts with this same problem. TRIED HARD START, removed battery, help down power button, turn on hit F8, tried F2, nothing works...let it sit overnight, Still has black screen, fan running, it becomes hot after turning it on a couple minutes, Black Screen, Caps lock light blinking constinually, Red light near numbers lock, removed battery, tried hard stop, nothing works. Please help I have numerous documents which need retreaving, pictures, File folders sitting on desk top. Why are so many others having this same issue noted all over internet ? GOOGLE, BING all state same issue without any fixes. Is it the CPU or the Mother Board, All vents have airflow never lay laptop flat o table. How can I fix this issue ? PLEASE HELP ME. Black screen but Button Is lighten up
I have encounted Black screen system almost randomly now. Almost 9 months back I have first encounter this sytem .
My one is HP pavilion g4.
My power button, Wi-Fil light is on . But screen is always black. I have removed battery and hold power button . it did not come . But sudeenly Note book starts to run smoothly.
First time I waited almost 18 hours to bring it up. Just three days back i encountered same issue . I am travelling now and went to local HP agent . They were suggesting to replace motherbaoard. i did not agree and had decided to do every thing while I will be in Singapore . But I found Laptop is up suddenly and worling fine. After that i have en counter almost three times in three days same problem and It came back again in same way.
Few days back I got waring message bious detected overhiting and Note book is in hibernation . But It came up automatcially.
But Now issue is diffrent . Every moring I have some issue It is black sceen It seems even HD is not running but all the powe button is on. Please advise what should I do before any thing can happen.
Should I update Bious . Or It is overhiting issue!

Hypermemory bandwith
Hi,
I have a problem with hyper memory, my graphics card (7670m) only uses hyper memory and because of that it halves bandwith (it is supposed to have 28.8 GB/s but because of hyper memory it has only 14.4GB/s. Is there any way to force my graphics card to use only dedicated memory it has or I'm stuck with this problem? I tested memory and bandwith with gpu-z and catalyst under heavy load ( so it can maximize clock and memory speed), and they both tell me the same, thank you

Dial in Spectre Resolution?
I just bought a Spectre 360. I cannot for the life of me get the resolution dialed in. Trying different combinations of resolutions and text sizes. I cannot seem to find a happy medium for menues, desktop, applications, etc.. Fo example; once I get IE dialed in the destop icons look terriable or Quicken is messed. Any suggestions for a combination of settings to use. I have never had this issue on past lab tops.

Screen black, three flashing LED by caps lock and scrn prnt.
So, Ive had this computer for a while, (not too long) and I've noticed a lot of people complained that the Screen turning black and not working again.
Now, in my case, my screws will not come undone, so I'm unable to check the memory problem (as the lighting sequencing indicates).
As such, is there ANY other way to check what's wrong? The screws are stuck in place, practically impossible to turn.
This is the first time this has done anything like this, and I've already tried the power resetting. It doesn't fix anything.

AMD Radeon HD 7470M driver problems
I am having several problems with my graphics card:
First off when I played minecraft it didn't use the amd card, but instead it ran of the integrated intel graphics, causing low FPS, so I attempted to upgrade the drivers hoping it would help since there were no settings in the catalyst control center which would make it work.
Alright then, update succesful, or at least I thought so.. Until I put the laptop in sleep mode, when I tried to wake it again the screen just stays black, only way out of it is holding the power button and restarting, but at least minecraft runs on the amd graphics card.
When I tried fixing the sleep by going back to the old drivers, after completing this process, almost every program fails to open... They all end up crashing or not opening at all.. even the catalyst control center itself.
Now it's not really very convenient not being able to use sleep mode or not being able to use any program... So what do I need to do to make games run on the amd graphics card but can still use all laptop functionalities (Like sleep)?

I have two Graphics Cards in my laptop HP Pavilion 17 N, the first is AMD Radeon HD 8610G (primary adapter) and the second is AMD Radeon R7 M260 (linked adapter) and I have problem with many games .The games requires more video cards so I want to put in use the second graphics cards AMD Radeon R7 M260 , how I can put it as primary adapter. hi my start button doesnt even flash i can not even start computer from the start button. the Ac adapter is charging the laptop because when i boot the HP laptop through f5 command which on this model is designed for quick web without going to windows but from there in the shut down square there is option shut down or go to windows. even when i tried to run the system bios it could not it appeared bios failure 501 please contact hp/support/techcenter/start up. what is the problem why the start button doesnt work doesnt even light as usually when the power or adapter is connected. what my be the issue with these HP laptops first i had problem with black screen when the motherboard died, now this my opinion is that HP has failed with laptops they overheats very easy and get nurned, also there are lot of problems. i am thinking to get rid of these worthless laptop from HP and buy some another from dell or accer which are far away from hp laptops.

HP Mini 110-1116NR PC Load Driver Error
This computer is unable to boot so I am trying reinstall Windows 7 using a USB. I am able to start the process of installing Windows 7 but come to Driver Error. The driver error says "A required CD/DVD drive device is missing/ If you have a driver floppy disk, CD, DVD, or USB flash drive, please insert now. I looked online and cannot find the drivers. Please help. Thanks!
(Also, as a side note the orignial key on the back of the computer was rubbed off is there a way to request for a new key or way to recover the key after I reinstall windows 7?)

HP 2005pr USB Port replication video not working after upgrading to win 8.1
We have been using HP 2005pr USB Port replicator in Windows 7 environment. Now I have upgrade OS to windows 8.1. The driver that comes with the replicator gives me error message so I download from hp.com. They don’t have for 8.1 so I used the windows 8 driver 64 bit version.
But after installing it I still can see anything on the monitor. The mouse, keyboard and NIC works but no video output.
It doesn’t detect the secondary monitor in control panel.
I’m using HP Spectre XT Pro Ultrabook, windows 8.1 64 bit and install HP 2005pr USB 2.0 Port Replicator Driver version 5.1.55.8876.
Any suggestion please

Choppy HD video playback
I have a 15-r236tu laptop with the Intel Graphics HD 5500 GPU, 4GB of RAM and i5 processor. When I play a high quality 1080p and even 720p video, say an iTunes rental, I can notice stutter/choppiness when the camera pans. Does anyone know how to fix this? I have tried uinstalling the driver and installing a later one (10.18.14.4170). I just assumed this laptop would play these videos with no problems. It seems to happen with all high quality videos and on both my external monitor and laptop screen.
