Screen turns gray/white and flickers. Sometimes when booting, sometimes after operating ok for awhile.
Usually clears up when I put in sleep mode and then awaken.

HP dv4t-1000 Blank White LCD Fix?
My laptop is showing a blank white screen when it gets turned on. Everything works but the screen. I ordered a new lcd cable thinking that would solve the problem. It did not but I did notice that one of the connectors is attached to a ribbon cable that is broken. I do not know where this cable would have went and am currently clueless where to look next. I have attached some photos and any advice would be greatly appreciated. Please ingore the bare wires, has some friends curious what was underneeth.

HP Pavilion notebook
I just today received a refurbished laptop. When I first turned on the machine and started using it the touch pad (mouse) was working fine. Turned it on a second time a while later and the touch pad is not working at all. I can use the touch screen but not the pad. I have tried to find the solution on line but can not seem to find the solution to my problem. Please help.

White screen on dv7 4285 unless removes battery
There is a white screen when I turn on my device. This started happening after lines appeared vertical on my screen. Now, whenever I turn my PC initially, there is a white screen.
1. Turn on PC
2. White screen
3. Turn off
4. Turn on, white screen again
5. Turn off, remove battery
6. PC monitor shows normal graphics

I get no signal when i connect my latop and tv or other output device through my HDMI cable

split screens
Recently I just bought an hp pavilion 15 notebook,today I noticed when I turn it on from sleeping mode I saw 4 split screens seperated by a line,I re install the drive. N everything but nothing seems to work, finally I remove
my battery n plugged it again
issue got resolved but my question here is there some kind of hardware or software issue? shoud I go to the Hp reatailer shop as its a new one?

side screen display blurr and not changeable
the problem with my elite book is i am unable to change the resolution of the side screen. I use VGA interface to connet it to my Samsung syncmaster 920 screen. The image on the added screen is blurr and with big icons. Tried changing the resolution but it shows to the maximum. Please suggest if what could be done??

graphics memory question
I have the HP Beats special eddition, the one with 8gb ram and 1tb hard drive. It has the AMD Radeon HD 8510G graphics card in it, which has up to 4gb of memory. It also has the AMD Quad-Core A8-5545M Accelerated Processor.
I have been trying to play Grand Theft Auto 5 on my computer through Steam, but it says the graphis memory and processor are not good enough. I looked at the specs ingame and it says that I only have 768mg of graphics memory for the game. My first question is there a way to turn up the graphics memory to make the game run smooth so the graphics ingame dont bug out? If that is not possible, then my next question is with this laptop is it possible to upgrade the processor and graphics card to a better one to run the game? I do not know if this laptop is upgradeable. Any information would be great. Thank you much.

Manually switch graphics on HP
On my notebook (HP Pavilion f008sr) haves two videocards. It`s HD 8610G (bad(( ) and Radeon R7 M260 2GB. I`m want to manually switch graphics on my notebook. I`m bought it for games and for capture video from them (YouTube Channel). And i need AMD Drivers with manual switch, and BIOS. On my BIOS F.36 not those function. Help me, HP! I like u!))

Advice about using the laptop with closed lid while connected to external display
Hello all HP forum members!
I have an ENVY 17 with Win8.1 64bit, a great laptop, but I need an advice about using it while connected via HDMI cable to an external display (TV).
When I play heavy 3D games, the computer produces more heat than usual (of course this is normal), but doing so with closed lid, could this harm the display in some way, as a result of the heat?

Need help with watching DVD-R from dubbed VHS
For some reason when I try to play a DVD-r that I recorded from a VHS tape, it will not play. I get the message that the disc is empty and yet I know it is not because it will play in the DVD player

Pavilion g6 Radeon 7670M causing blue screen [BSOD]
Recently while playing Heroes of the Storm my computer chrashed, got the BSOF, and had to disable the radeon graphics card in order to keep it be able to enter windows without getting the BSOD.
I have the HP laptop Pavilion g6-2017sp, with both Radeon HD 7670M and the Intel HD Graphics 4000 and running windows 7 64bits.
I updated the drivers on device manager, i uninstaled them, i downloaded new driver for the radeon at HP, i uninstaled it, i downloaded driver from AMD website, i uninstaled it, downloaded driver using windows update, same thing...
the only way to have a (semi) functional computer is when i have radeon uninstaled or disabled, but the gamming experience is terrible/impossible.
i don't know what else i can do. Help is greatly apreciated...

HP Spectre 13 x360 4003dx display flickers with black horizontal bars appearing
After boot up, the screen flickers and black or staticy bars appear horizontally. Some bars cover 1/4th of the screen some are very thin. They all seem to be random in timing and placement. When connected via HDMI cable to an external display, the external display does not exhibit the problem.

videodriver problems with HP DV7 4180 SD black screen
Hello,
I am a Dutch user of several laptops but I am in love with my HP DV7 with a I5 processor and 8 Gb of ram.
I use Win 7 Ult. 64 and had no problem at all. Until I got problems with the temperature and the fan. I cleaned
the fan without openening the case just by using the vacuumcleaner on both in and outlet openings.
Problem solved. But after about a month I received the message my Intel HD driver was not installed.
It could be installed right away. OK, why not. But after installation and a restart my screen went black, but
with sound. By accident I saw there was a screen but not illuminated, at a sertain angle you could see the
text on the screen. I restarted the laptop and started up in secure mode. There I removed the latest driver and restated
again and since that moment I have only the basic vga driver to choose from. No Intel or ATi driver will work,
I have an ATI 5470 graphic card. I do not understand properly how those 2 will work together. Everest shows me
2 graphic cards.All I want is my laptop in factory state again. I bought the laptop as used. I enjoyed playing movies
without a shaking picture. Can anyone help me, please?

HDMI not working
I have a HDMI port but am unable to setup my tv or external monitors. All my other devices I can set up, but not this dv9700. When I go to display properties I on have one option which is Laptop screen. why do I have an HDMI port but my video card does not seem to support mirroring or duplicate screens?

Caps blink 2 times
Recently i bought HP G2 250, almost 6 or 7 month. its working fine but suddenly display went blank and wifi light remains orange but caps blink continuously with the interval of 2. i have done everything like power resting, removed ram and processor but no use. fan is working fine.

Brightness adjustment not working with HP 14-g003AU Notebook PC
I have just bought HP 14-g003AU Notebook PC, and installed windows 8.1.
I can see brightness adjustment botton but it is not working.
Furthermore, @ key is misplaced with ".
Somebody please provide me with some idea to fix it.
