I had recently use my laptop all day to monkey around on the internet and then type a paper. After typing the paper I was watching live stream videos that were always buffering. I decided to close my laptop and see if said videos were better on my cellphone. Upon opening my laptop and clicking on a file on my desktop my screen went white and I couldn't do anything so I tried a manual reboot by pressing the power button. After letting my laptop power down I pushed the power button to turn it back on. After the hp loading screen came up, my laptop just went into a black screen. The power light is on along with the two lights on the right side of my laptop are steady with no flashing. I normally leave my laptop in sleep and have only done restarts for windows installs. Please help.

AMD RADEON 7690M Driver Update Request
My Issue is probably one of the oldest here , I bought HP ENVY 15 in the year 2012 , well ..I bought the device keeping in mind the stellar specs with i7 processor and AMD RADEON 7690M GPU , I wish I knew how horrible the support of HP is , you guys have not updated the AMD RADEON GPU driver since 30 SEP 2011 , even though AMD has been updating its drivers regularly , and now they recently release 15.4 BETA drivers for GTA 5 , but none of the HP user can install it , because as soon as I install the AMD DRIVERS from their WEBSITE , I lose the control of Catalyst Control Center , The machine does not recognize my card , which means the latest drivers for AMD RADEON 7690 are not compatible because HP is responsible to provide us updates instead of AMD , thats the answer I got from AMD , they said that HP needs to update their drivers for AMD RADEON 7690M , but HP is such a lazy BUM that they really dont care about it , they have not updated AMD RADEON 7690M Graphic Driver since 30 SEP 2011 , although AMD has been updating the driver but HP has not taken responsibility to REDESIGN those driver for their Machines , and when I go to the SOFTWARE & DRIVER DOWNLOAD page , the update available for AMD RADEON 7690M is still dated NOV 2011 , so its a humble request to all of the HP ENGINEERS out there ... FOR CHRIST SAKE !!! please update the AMD RADEON 7690M Drivers for your HP PRODUCTS , the new GTA 5 is out ... but I am not able to play it only because the DRIVERS are OUTDATED , AMD has done its part , but HP has not ...

My laptop become blue screen after windows logo, after i update the graphic ati and intel driver
I have constant blue screen after windows logo and i have updated all drivers. i was upset the blue screen didn't go away and i did the factory reset. For my suprise, it didn't solve the problem and then i repair it at the comp shop. it was installed with windows 7 home premium 64 (pavilion g4 1006tx) bit as the pre installed windows and activated with the key back on sticker. I updated all drivers and i noticed every time i update the ati and intel driver it will go blue screen after windows logo. after i uninstall it at in safe mode it can load normally. My question is there any solution for my graphic card or is it already damaged? or any other hardware problem? please because i have to use high graphic as i use photoshop

Black screen border
Plugged my HDMI lead from laptop to samsung tv. Something happened and I had to mess about with the resolution settings. Dont know what I have done but I am sure I didnt have a 1cm black border around my laptop screen. Updated driver to try and fix it but no joy.
Any ideas?

Can the DV6-2190us display be upgraded?
Does anyone know if the HP DV6-2190us which comes with 1366 x 768 be upgraded to 1920 x 1080? Or could I use the same display cable with the new panel?
I looked at the motherboard and saw it having the 40 pin connector, but understand the connectors vary from computer to computer.
I'm looking to get the AUO B156HW01 V.4 panel some are using in other model laptops. Thanks

sp70824 HP says that the Spectre 360 that I got yesterday needs this HD graphics driver. It will not down load. No matter what I try--even trying to download it to another computer. How can I download this file that HP says that my Spectre 360 needs?

Cursor moves by itself
I have the HP15 N088ca laptop with touchscreen. It's a little over 1 year old. The cursor moves by itself to the top left corner which is extremely frustrating as that is where the back button is. The screen would scroll down by itself and would zoom greatly.
HP care tried to help out without success. No virus or malware found. Recovery was done and full system restore was done as well but problem continues. Touchpad and wireless mouse was checked with no results. Is my screen defective? It has taken me nearly 30 minutes to write that as the cursor jumps off this text to the top corner!!! Help please.

Cannot detect the integrated Intel Graphics on my HP Mobile Work Station Zbook 17
I have bought HP ZBook 17 (D5D93AV) last month with DOS operating system and install Ubuntu 14.04. Though the machine contains the Intel Graphics for sure, but I cannot see it. Even in the BIOS setup I cannot see any option to enble or disable it. It shows only Nvidia Quadro 3100M. Could someone let me know what could be the reason. I would like switch between the two graphics cards.

Having problem installing graphic drivers for my pavillion g4 laptop

Need assistance on how to resolve my issue on installing graphic drivers for my notebook. I replaced my HDD today since the original one encountered hardware problems and I was not able to salvage any files from it. I download all drivers from HP website and was installing it with no problems until I reach SP61152 (Intel HD Graphic Driver). While installing this an error message was encountered (This computer does not meet the minimum requirements to install this software). Also, I can't find the AMD Catalyst Control Center that I used before when tweaking performance for my applicatons. Hope someone from HP can help resolve this. Thanks.

can not get best resolution on VGa screen from Spectre x360 mini port
Hi, Im SAM and i have a new Spectre x360 that I willneed to use in presentations. My clients still use VGA connected projectors so I have tried an apple Mini display Port to VGA adaptor on a screen of my own. The resolution is limited to 1280 - 1024 and appears distinctly fuzzy and also appears to vibrate slightly.
On my laptop screen I get a warning that the resolution is not high enough.
In the intel HD Graphics screen I see that the higher resolution is not available for my screen (I know the screen to have higher resolution).
I'm quite worried that the quality of my graphics will suffer. I will try an HDMI to VGA adaptor but can not get hold of one for 3/4 days and will be doing my first presentation before then. Can anyone advise me?

Problems with graphics drivers
Hello, I tried to install new drivers to my Ati 6770m (2gb) and there is a problem with almost every driver. For example the newest ati catalyst 14.5 beta. When the driver is installed, I can't switch to the resolution higher than 1024x768. Ati catalyst control centre is not installed or I there is an error message saying, that the driver is not installed correctly so the control centre can't open. Sometimes the system crashes to the blue screen and I have to reboot. I see this problem with various drivers. The only driver, that is working for me is Ati Catalyst 13.10 mobility beta. And with this driver there's a lot of graphic problems with GTA V. I see squares on all objects in distance when dx11 and AA is turned on. It is unplayable with this driver. Please help.

Video Playback
I've had this HP laptop since Christmas and everything has seemed to work fine but I just recently rented a movie on iTunes for the first time and the video is lagging. When I first started watching, the audio was messing up but now the audio is fine but the video sucks. The screen will freeze for a few seconds and the audio will continue over the freezed screen until the video skips ahead to match the audio. This happens about once every 2-3 minutes and it is very aggravating. Does anyone know how to fix it and reduce the screen from lagging? PLEASE HELP

Switchable graphics in Pavilion g6
I bought this laptop two or three years ago but did not notice this issue untill about a year ago. This is because I did not know what switchable graphics were and always assumed the card I spent an extra $100 for was working. I am unable to use the AMD m7076HD graphics card at all. Instead I am forced to use the integrated Intel 4000HD for gameing, which is less than Ideal. When I boot up the computer I get an error message saying that I don't have the dirvers for the AMD, when I left click on the desk top there is no option to configure switchable graphics, when I try to start CCC it gives me an error message telling me that there are no settings to be configured, when I try to change graphics properties it only shows me the Intel chip, when I look in video game graphics setting there is only the intel chip, and in the bios there are no settings for fixed and switchable. The only way I know I have and AMD card in the computer is that divice manager says so. So far I have repeatedly tried updating the drivers for both cards and the bios from HP and just the cards from leshcat, repeaditly. I also took it to geek squad once but the most they were able to do was get CCC to open. With GTA 5 out I really want the issue to be fixed. Is there anything else I can do? I have scoured the web over the last year and found no other soloutions for my specific problem. If there really is nothing else I can do my self, where should I take it to actually be fixed. From what I did read, it seems like alot of other people had this problem and it was never solved. I am about done with this computer and HP, I need answers soon or I am just going to cut my losses and buy a new laptop from a brand that will sell it to me in fully working condition. Let me know if any more info is needed.
