The laptop was working as normal. Suddenly it started to appear very pixelated. It is not limited to one area of the screen, but covers the entire screen. The colors are not distorted for the most part, but I can almost see the pixel grid running up and down the computer. It basically highlights every small square. I have tried updating Bios and graphics card and doing a system refresh. None of it has helped. Any ideas about what the problem can be? This is not the first time it has done this. One time the screen had to be replaced. The second time the issue was resolved perhaps by restarting the computer but I can't remember because it was about a year ago.

Video Controller 28 Code..
I upgraded from Windows XP to Windows 7 Home Premium, I am getting a Code 28 next to the Video Controller, it doesnt identify the what type... HP doesnt provide drivers for this since the OS is not supported...
I have updated the Chipset Drivers and still have the Code 28...

Graphic Drivers
Graphic drivers aren't working. Itt displays a message,"No AMD graphics are installed or device not functioning properly". Please install the appropriate drivers". In device manager, under display adapters, the status of 'Intel(R) HD graphics family' and 'Radeon (TM) 6470M' is 'Windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems. (Code 43)'. I have done everything I can. I have installed the drivers again by scanning for hardware changes, have downloaded them from the hp website and installed them. But it is the same. Not working.

hp envy m6 1125dx black screen
I just replaced lcd screen on my laptop as well as the video cable but the image does not come through. I can see the image when i shine a flash light. Please help with link to the video drivers or any other possible solutions

IRQ conflicts
I cannot seem to resolve this problem. Uninstalled and re-installed driver several times, used HP Assistant several times and still get the same IRQ conflicts. I pulled a HDD out of another HP laptop from a different model and installed in this Pavilion dv6. Did a clean re-install of Windows and i get these conflicts; HD 3000 Graphics, USB 3.0 Host Controller and PCI to USB Controller.

There are conflicts with IRQ 10, 16 and 19. Is there a way for me to reassign IRQs so there is no conflict?

Switchable graphics issue
Intel Hd 3000, AMD 6490M
DxDiag IN Display, lists my AMD Card not the Intel HD
Okay let me try and post what I can so you can actually give me correct information.
The Symptons:
I download the switchable graphics Driver. AMD High-Definition Graphics Driver ( 2.10 Rev: A)
After installation, i am unable to switch to from Intel to discrete AMD Graphics, despite the Catalyst Control Center being installed, instead it always wants to use the Intel HD 3000 graphics which we all know is garbage. No matter how or what I do (which is limited) the graphics card will not switch.
I have not bothered in the past to install the Beats Audio, then one day I decided to install it, and suddenly it was working, instead of seeing the Intel graphic in the system tray, I saw the catalyst control center!
Then windows decided to update the driver, and back to intel it went again. And since then I have been playing around in Linux Mint, where it finds a driver, but the proprietary driver gives me utterly crap frame rates. So I switched back to windows 7. I have installed this operating system endlessly and I am quite frankly sick of doing so.
This is whats in my machine.
Windows 7, service pack 1, most of the updates, since many we do not need.
In my bios I have fixed for graphics card.
I am running the above out of date initial graphics card switching software, which does not seem to switch anything. I have tried leschcat's 13+ drivers on the top of this switching driver because it needs it to be able to switch.
It is clear the drivers I am using for my system are not correct. If they where correct I would getting the graphics card switching working properly.
My computer is about 2 years old, has been working perfectly well to be honest, apart from the graphics switching. I know there is no hardware failure on the card, because I have sent it into authorized hp repair dealers, who has said there is nothing wrong with the switchable card at all, its a software issue.
So here I am at my wits end now, after forever trying to get my switching graphics to work again. I need realistic answers on what I should do. The drivers I have clearly are not working...so there must be some other drivers I need to get , and if you would be so kind as to explain to me, what as Beats audio IDT Audio got to do with my AMD discrete card?? Since i installed it several times after several formats it did work..for a while now it has now..i am suspicious of that idt audio driver...there appear to be 2 old versions in my driver list..both of which will crash if i install them on boot up, or i only get audio through hdmi through my television...i cannot get audio through the speakers not headphones when i install the idt hd driver..

HDMI Drivers reinstall
I recently had issues with the laptop which was rebuilt / restored. Previously I had no issues connecting my laptop to a HDTV (have the correct cables, know how to do it, etc). So I think I need to reinstall the correct drivers - can you please advise which ones I need to reinstall, and preferably share the links? WHen I search through available drivers for my laptop on the HP site none look appropriate to fix this. thanks

Second Monitor not working
I have just connected a Samsung monitor (Res 1920 x 1080) to my HP Pavilion laptop (Res 1366 x 768).
On Duplicate, everything works fine. The second screen mirors the laptop.
On Extend, the only thing that shows on the Samsung is the taskbar and the desktop wallpaper(no Icons).
I can move the mouse around the Samsung screen, and select different programs, which changes what is on my laptop screen. But nothing appears or changes on the Samsung screen, it just continues to show the desktop wallpaper.
I have matched the two resolutions, which does nothing.
Can anyone help please?

Black Screen after windows logo
Good evening. So i got a bit angry and kinda hit my laptop...then the screen had some green lines on it so i switched it off, after that after switching it back on the screen goes black after the windows logo i am only able to see the cursor. If i use safe mode it works. So i don't know what to do. Thanks in advance guys.

Notebook R112NE Display is Pale/Blue light/Magenta Color appearing like Purple
i've paid this notebook from 5 days ago stil in warranty the colors is pale and the light of screen too much blue + there's problem with Magenta color in games it's appearing like Purple so i've going to hp technical support in egypt call "M.S.A" and they said these colors with at all this product model R112NE we can't do anything the model is perfect **bleep** why you producing a buggy model ? also why you employment batty staff -_-
