AMD graphics driver
Hi
Recently my laptopHP Envy Touchsmart, has been bringing up a message saying the the
'No AMD graphics driver is sintalled. or the AMD driver is not functioning properly. please install the AMD driver appropriate for your AMD hardware'
im not sure how to go about locating the AMD driver within the system or how to re-install a functioning one.
i cannot adjust my brightness settings and it is draining my battery far quicker than it should be
any help would be greatly appreciated.

my laptop won't turn on.

When I bought the HP Pavilion dv7-3165dx laptop in 2010, I had a few issues when turning on it on and called for help and was able to resolve the issues. Because I have had no issues since then, I did let the warranty lapse and now I am having major problems all these years later. All was well until yesterday afternoon when I put the laptop in hibernate mode. When I tried to get back in, while the LED lights were on and the laptop was humming, the screen was blank. Originally, lights flashed by the caps lock and num keys and the laptop beeped. I turned it off, did a hard reboot and when that didn't work, I unplugged it, took out the battery and did the steps to get it back on and that worked. When I tried to turn it on last night, the screen remained black even after trying the steps again for at least an hour. This morning it turned on, but this afternoon the screen has remained black. I have been reading the boards and trying the fixes, but to no avail. I hope you can help.
Additionally, I before I bought the laptop I specified that I wanted to use it to watch blu ray movies and was told that it would play them but it has not. Is there some way I can do this once the machine is working again?

while i was searching through different websites, i got a warning message leaving a toll free number for immediate call :18589582033, but i coudlnt reach this. i guess some virus attack , i have only a trial version of antivirus -avira installed at that time. Now i removed avira and installed norton trial version for 30 days and did a scan also.
Still i couldnt see videos searched through internet properly, please give me a solution

Graphics glitch in minecraft
I recently updated to windows 8.1 don't know why it just kind of happened didn't mean it to but it did and i don't really care. However since this update occured I have been having issues with some games that use to run just fine. Most of these i have managed to fix through updating drivers, but now minecraft is having a glitch were the screen flickers and other things that are hard to describe. I have been searching for a couple of weeks now and everyone tells me it's the graphic drivers that cause this problem with the intel 4600 graphics that i use. So I went to there site and there site says your company has custom drivers. So I went to your site and tried to update but I'm up to date on this driver. Now I have been on your forums and emailed your suppport although no response as of yet, and I have tried every thing suggested on this site to fix my issue with minecraft. So I want somebody to figure this out without telling me to update drivers try in safe mode or anything of that nature.

CAN HP Envy 15t j100 Support 2 external monitors?
Hi, I'm trying to figure out how to connect 2 external Dell monitors with HDMI inputs, to my Envy 15t j100. The evy has only 1 HDMI out port. The Envy also has 4 USB 3.0 ports. Ideally, I would like the option to use all 3 displays (The Envy's and the 2 externals.) But would be satisfied with just the 2 externals, extended 1 to the other, for desktop work. Any ideas? Is this possible?

I have loaded Windows 7 professional (64) and now find I am having problems with Windows Movie Maker. I have no video displey in the preview screen.
I can play video clips using Windows media centre. I have used the support site which is not detecting any diver issues.

The dual graphics option is missing from my CCC
First, I had the catalyst software package installed from your website and the option was missing from my CCC and when I started GPU-Z there wasn't any indications at all that the r7 m260 is working(except its fan,rolling at 100%,lol).Then,I uninstalled it and installed the latest CCC from the site of AMD,and again the option was missing from the CCC(but this time except the fan of the r7 m260 that was rolling at100% there were another sign that the gpu is working - its temperature was around 50 degrees) .Now I rolled back to the driver from your website,because accidently I uninstalled the amd psp driver,amd start now technology and the OEM application profiles and there wasn't any of this features at the latest version of the catalyst software package.And from now on I do not know what to do next ...

hp dv7t volume display
I have an Hp Pavilion Enternainment PC (HP Pavilion dv7 Notebook PC), 64bit, Windows 7, Service Pack 1. The pc is integrated with a HP xb4 Notebook Media Docking Station and a HP 2509m flat screen monitor. Unless I have turned the volume completely off, I continually get a volume icon (showing the current volume setting) intermittently displaying in the center of the flat screen monitor. I am unable to move it to any other location on the flat screen display or to the pc monitor. I would appreciate any help I could get on how to rid myself of the nuisance. Irish646.

Cyberlink PowerDVD no longer plays DVD's.

I am having trouble playing DVD's on my HP Pavillion g7-2300 notebook. I've had this laptop for a long time and I was able to play DVDs up until a few days ago, but today when I inserted a disc I got this message:
When I click on "learn more" it brings me to a webpage where there are newer versions of cyberlink media software available for purchse. As you can see in the image there is an ad for one of the versions.
There was one update available for the Cyberlink PowerDVD software and I installed it. This did not fix the issue and I am still geting the same message as above. I also tried to play different DVDs.
I have PowerDVD OEM version 10.0.8.5723 and am using Windows 8.1. I've had Windows 8.1 for many months and as I mentioned I was able to play DVD's before with this windows version.
As far I as I can tell it isn't a trial version. It's asking me to buy an upgrade not a full version so this is what leads me to believe it's not a trial version.
Why the sudden change?
Unfortunately the Windows Media Player software on my laptop doesn't play DVDs. I've searched for Quicktime software, but there doesn't seem to be any available for Windows 8 or 8.1.
I find it odd because in all the decades that I've used and had computers this is the first time I'm being told I have to buy software to be able to use the hardware that came with my computer.

HP Envy 15 Touchsmart - Glass Broken only

I have a HP Envy TouchScreen 15 Model: 15t-J000 but the glass of screeen is broken and the touch doesn't work any more but i still can use it, ,
After reviewing the Maintenance and Service Guide, I see the full assembly is the part number 720550-001 wihich is FHD.
i need to know do i need to change the full display or just i can change the broken glass? Is the bezel with the par number is 720535-001 comes with glass? what Part I need to Buy?

HP Spectre 13 screen cracked when opened
In December my 6 month old HP Spectre 13-3010ea Ultrabook screen cracked when I opened it. HP state its not under waranty as opening it caused the break, invalidating the warranty. Very annoying. They charged nearly £300 to have it fixed and 5 weeks later with no laptop they state that they can't get the new screens in but won't replace the laptop. How do I get any justice/resolution to HP's shocking customer care and poor products?

Envy 2 Touch Screen stopped working
Computer works fine but the touch screen just became unresonsive. The keyboard, touchpad, and mouse all are working fine. No other issues with the computer at all. In the past, I'd restart the computer and the touch screen would work fine. But this time, it did not resolve the issue. Any assistance or other suggestions would be greatly appreaciated. Thank you!
