My screen started going haywire a couple days ago. I got a HP TouchSmart Notebook from my boyfriend as a present and everything was going great utnil the screen started messing up. The touch function on my scree stoped working and it does not recgonize my touch at all. The screen also starts pulling up windows whenvever it wants and whatever window it wants. The pointer gets stuck in the upper right hand corner all the time and freezes there and then I have to restart the computer by using the power button. I updated to Windows 8.1 and that didnt help. I tried recalibrating the screen and that didnt help. I tried a system restore, a defregment, and a disk cleanup but the screen still messes up and wont work properly. There is also a box that appears all the time in the right hand upper corner. Any help would be great

I just bought this comp and opened it up to put a new video card in it, and lo and behold there is nothing to plug the card into. Is it possible to someway upgrade the card on this model or am I stuck with the crappy onboard card.

HP Pavilion 22bw IPS LED Backlit Monitor and Generic Non-PnP monitor
Alright, so I've had a single monitor for a while but i finally broke down and got myself another monitor, it being the same one I owned before. I hooked them up and got the second one working but it wont let me adjust it to my main screens native resolution of 1920x1080, but instead only goes as high as 1600x900 and 1600x1200. It also states it as a Generic Non-PnP monitor instead of the main monitors title of HP Pavilion 22bw IPS LED Backlit Monitor. I've also checked for driver updates and installed the disc it came with. Any help regarding how to at least get it to the desired resolution would be greatly appreciated.

Cant switch graphic cards
Hello,
I can´t switch from AMD Radeon HD 8610G (low performance graphic processor) to AMD Radeon R7 M260 (High performance graphic processor). Catalyst control center not enables me to choose grafic processor for application.... there are only choices "high performance", "energy saving" or "by power supply". But anyone of theese choices will not set R7 M260 for application. App is still running on HD 8610G.

cannot delete deleted file icon from desk top
I have a solid white document icon on the desktop of my notebook Pavilion dv6, I am running windows 8.1 how can I delete it? I have tried moving it to the trash can and highlighting and deleting but it will not delete.

HP with Intel HD Graphics missing custom aspect ratio
I need to adjust overscan, but in the display section, on the Scaling setting there's only "Maintain Display Setting" which is on. I seem to be missing "custom aspect ratio". I have another HP Notebook with Intel HD Graphics, but on that one the "custom aspect ratio" appears when I connect it to TV via HDMI but with 15-r013ca this option is not available even if it's connected via HDMI

pavillion x360 stuck on touch screen tablet mode
Purchased this computer (hp pavilion 11 -13th x360 PC) today, notebook mode and keyboard were working perfectly throughout the set up phase, however as soon as the notebook began running it switched to tablet mode with touch screen. Screen will not rotate at all even after restarting and turning off. And as such I am unable to use the keyboard at all.

Black/very dim display
The screen is almost black. You can barely see it, but has it not usable. You can't see any part of screen during bootup. Display on HDMI works fine. The screen started to have lines, and now has gone dark. Computer works fine. I replaced the screen (panel) and there was no change. It appears there is no inverter, so I have no idea what to do now. Computer is almost 2 years old. It has 1366x 768 resolution, AMD processor and ATI Video.

gray display
my display wont start pass through the gray display.
no bios nothing. but sometimes when i clear the CMOS and reboot it works.
rescently i have found that, even it is gray with nothing, it is working in the background.. (i left the wifi on, and even the display is gray, laptop connected with the wifi)... 
and now it is working with an external display. again with a hard reset it works fine with its own display.. what can be the problem? i have already reinstalled the drives for display.
nothing wrong with the RTC battery, and i have already done a bios flash too.. nothing works

HP G62-b39eo video driver in windows 8/8.1
I have problems with the dual graphics on my G62
Only the Radeon HD 4200 series wants to start.
This makes the graphics slower than it needs to be.
How can I activate only the HD5000 series graphics?
Because of a problem the graphics card is disabled.

Disorted and pixelated colours / graphics
Hi all,
I'm very sorry if I'm posting this in the wrong place - I can't see my screen's display very well. Would greatly appreciate any help.
I left my computer with very low power to go downstairs momentarily. It may have been a little hot for the 5 minutes I left it, but nothing more than usual. When I returned, the computer had gone into hibernation - I woke it up and the graphics were very distorted. There are some colours which aren't affected, but pure white has gone completely pink - which is very annoying!
This also affects the bios.
I found a VERY similar problem over at http://h20564.www2.hp.com/hpsc/doc/public/display?docId=emr_na-c04446835&sp4ts.oid=5405392 which also affects HP products but not mine, which is partially why I'm feeling it's a driver problem rather than a hardware failure.
I unfortunately don't have an hdmi cable or a way of connecting it to an exterior display.
Could anyone help with this?
