Hi,

 

I have read through lots of forums regarding my isuse and I have even spoken with an HP support person over the phone where they took over my computer to try and fix my problem.  My issue is that it gets fixed temporarily but hten reverts back to the problem.

 

I cannot watch videos on Facebook - I get the green screen issue.  On you tube for some reason it seems to work.  I have the latest drivers for my graphics card and I have updates for Flash player and HP even installed latest shockwave player.

 

My home videos don't play, they are just black.  No issues with sound.  Already done the adjustment with accelerated graphics, etc.

 

If I disable my Radeon T5 graphics card, videos work fine with sound as well but once I reanble the card...it maybe work for the first time or two but once I've rebooted or shut down, the problem happens again.

 

I don't know if I have switchable graphics or not or if I should.  All I know is that my system does seem to use another form of graphics card because in device manager I do have the I have Realtek High Definition Audio drivers under sound, video and game controllers.

 

Here are some of my specs on my system and cards:  HP Pavillion Notebook PC - SCD4385MMN, Windows 8.1 64 Bit operating system and AMD Radeon (TM) R5 Graphics under Display adapters.

 

Please somebody help.  I hate to have to disable my graphics card everytime just to be able to use videos.  I am partially self employed and do video series things so I need my graphics to work properly and it's really annoying to get a green screen every time I want to watch videos on Facebook or somewhere else.

 

I also get error messages with Internet Explorer when working with certain work programs that don't seem to recognie that I have 11 and higher version, perhaps because it's intergrated into Windows 8.1.  I do have Network frame 4.0 and higher.  Does this have anythign to do with McaFee sercurity programs or active X add ons.  I've treid many things and nothing seems to work including HP support who remotely accessed my computer and tried some things and installed the shockwave player and it worked but only for a day and then went badk to the same thing all over again.

Hello all. So my problem is that my screen goes black whenever I plug in my pavilion laptop's charger. The computer continues to run because you can hear the sound of the fans still going. Even when I don't have my laptop plugged in and I close the laptop so it will go in sleep mode, sometimes when I open it back up it will have a black screen but you can hear that it is still running as well. I have tried adjusting power and display settings, but nothing works. Please help!!! Because of this I only charge my battery when it's off or in sleep mode and it's a pain because I only get a few hours charge before it needs to be charged again.

Hello, i have an HP ENVY DV6-7300 SP laptop which for some reasons has several problems with the graphic card. First of all, if i disable my integrated graphics card (INTEL HD4000) and i try to go into the nvidia control panel, it says i dont have a display adapter connected. Ive tried everything, i usually play CS:GO and my FPS are miserable for a laptop with these specs, its really starting to frustrate me. When i connect the INTEL HD4000 and go into the nvidia control panel, it works, but it doesnt show half the options, (cant change digital vibration, resolution, etc.). I use my laptop connected to a monitor, I've tried everything, and nothing works. Please tell me you have a solution for this, and before you ask me, yes i do have it so that my games start up with the NVIDIA graphics card, im certain it isnt working, unless the laptop is really bad and im supposed to lag playing CSGO which is a game that runs on an old engine.

Hello
If anybody could help me with my problem...

I have HP Pavilion 17-e021sm and when i turn it on the screen is pink  for few seconds and after that it is normal.

It only happens if laptop was turned off for few hours or on sleep, if it was working and you restart it, it will turn on normally without showing pink

I am helping a friend try to resolve a problem. Suddenly, the windows for her software (Word, Publisher, etc) don't fit in the Windows 7 window. Not sure how else to describe it. If a Word window is fully expanded, the bottom fall underneat the taskbar at the bottom so you can't get to where you'd slide to resize the view, or where it displays page x of x, etc. If we reduce the size of the window, we can move it up enough to see the bottom, but then loose part of the top.

 

The resolution of the display is at 100% (though she usually keeps it at 125, but I tried changing that first and it didn't work).

 

How can we resolve this?

I have a HP Pavilion dv6700t CTO Special Edition Notebook PC running Vista.  The laptop screen goes to 1280 x 800.  What is the highest resolution that the NVIDA GeForce 8400m GS will support on an external monitor?  There is an HDMI port on the  laptop.  Thanks,

Hello, I recently had to reinstall windows and currently only have Intel HD installed. I tried using the install wizard from ATI when the blue screen came up, so I reverted. Can you please help me find the proper drivers for my notebook? I can verify any information necessary. I have a Dv6 SE I purchased in late 2010 or so. Also, my fingerprint reader is not working. I highly assume both of these are because of not having the drivers. I am installing HP Support assistant now also

My Notebook HP1000-1227TU running windows 8.1 is very slow to start up after HP screen appears it goes black for sometime until log on screen appears. After I put in my password, then it goes black again and takes forever to advance to Windows screen. Also in safe mode it is slow to start up. Diagnostic tests showed a Video Palette check failure ID=

64HG0C-6HV7AS-MGFK0K-Q2BW03   Product ID=P4A74PA#ABG.  Is this causing the slow start up and please advise on how to go about fixing this

Also HP Office Assistant provided updates AMD High Definition Graphic Driver version 8.982.6.0 and HP Software Framework Version 4.6.10.IAP1.  I have downloaded them using HP Office Assistant, the problem is they will not install. I have tried several times. Are these problems all related to the above.

 i have installed a new hard drive and when i turn it on it does not boot up

it says  something about DHCP and no boot file name received i cant even get a start to get into it

this problem just started yesterday, up till then everything has been working normally. have reinstalled current Intel HD graphics driver, even installed an older release, no change.  if you put taskbar on bottom, it is gone.  if you open a spreadsheet, you can't see bottom or right side so can't control spreadsheet. if you are in IE or Chrome, you can't see bottom or right side of any page you are on - always have to "shrink" image and then use up/down or left/right arrows to move around page.  have tried several different screen resolution sizes, still have problem. could it be a driver hardware issue?

I updated my HP Pavillion Sleekbook from Windows 8 to windows 8.1, which I totally hate right now. Anyway, now it will not recognize my external monitor. I searched for drivers etc and a solution. I let the support site tell me what drivers to download but analyzing my computer and it still is not working.

I recently purchased my [HP Pavilion 15-p084ca Notebook] with Windows 8.1 at FutureShop. My plan was to add two external monitors. My laptop has one HDMI slot and no VGA slot. The tech at FS said that it could be done and that I would need a 2-way HDMI splitter which I purchased (Rocketfish). I had problems with the original LG monitors that I purchased a month ago so I never got them set up. I ended up bringing back the LG monitors and ordered two Samsung monitors online from FS. The Samsungs just arrived yesterday and now that I am trying to set them up it appears from the Screen Resolution dialog that I can add only 1 external monitor. I would never have purchased the HP Pavilion if I had known that I couldn't have two external monitors...this is 2014. I assumed that all computers with Win 8.1 these days would allow you to add 2 or even 3 external monitors. How can I add two external monitors to my HP Pavillion?

I have a HP Spectre 13 lap top computer and broke the screen and would like to buy a replacement.  I have been told I can only get this screen from HP.  Is this correct and if so, how do I buy one?  Thanks. msu64

My screen is very dark but at the correct angle I can see the desktop.

 

I replaced the screen and the problem persists even with the new screen.

 

There is no separte fl inverter that I could find.

 

Any help would be appreciated.

Hi all!

 

We have a Compaq Mini CQ10-101SA which is running Windows XP.  We have an issue with the display on certain webpages and software whereby you cannot see the entire page in the window.  While this has been somewhat "inconvenient" when viewing webpages, it has now become a problem as we cannot use an important software package that we have installed.

 

Attached is a screen shot of the software in question - Hogia Smart Kassa (a point of sale till system).  The bottom third of the page is missing, and you cannot scroll down to see it.  This is a problem as it is where the "pay now" button is!

 

I have tried different screen resolution settings, DPI settings, and screen appearance settings in the "Display" area of the control pannel but nothing stops this from happening.  Is there a "shrink to fit" button that will show the entire page on the screen in a smaller size?  Can anyone help?!
