cant get all updates wont update to 8.1 cant add hardware fail to install drivers even with hardware that is simple plug and play fed up with 8 brand new pc!!!!! as of now its a glorified internet surfer

I am looking for the latest display driver for this computer (win 7 64bit)
I looked on the website but the latest drivers are old (2011 -2012):

hp compaq nc8430 display settings are changed after install 3 in 1 docking station on my tv
After install 3 in 1 nas docking station on my tv, my laptop display settings are changed, the icons are bigger and my tv have no colours,just black and white.Hp Compaq nc8430 .Connect output from my laptop are S-video,tv input -euroscart.

flickering screen
it seems my father was having problems with the laptop screen continuiously flickering so he brought it to me to see if i could fix it. i got the flickering to subside a lot but now, when i go onto a website or even go to play a downoaded game, it flickes uncontrollably, it also flickers when the laptop is booting up. ive scanned for viruses but they were none, it isnt related to movent, neither is it because of the screen resolution. i turned vsync on but that only worked for a bit and the drives are completely up to date. can someone help me please?

when i cnnect my laptop to my tv via hdmi cord nothing appears ... are thereany settngs i need to change or ways about to choose to show on tv ? my old hp desktop works on the tv but cant get my brand new laptop to work.

my hd6490m seen as hd7400m by the amd 's own software up to date
well im usin pavillion dv6 with i7 and 8 Gb RAM
the problem is i used to play the new games witout problem than i havent play it for like 5 months and when i tried it terribley crushed or freezed even in the minimum setting so i up to date my software and than all it gone crazy 
i didnt do any mistakes or faults downloading the updates for my comp but anyway it just saw my graph card as radeon hd7400M but it was a hd6490M so my comps screen got back to 1024x768 resulotion and worse when i checked there was no graph crads seen by the comp.
i solved that too but its not that good couse i updated my card software from the device manager.so i still dont have the performance that ı want.
one more thing can i just change this dedicated memory on my comp.i tried bios of mine but its like from the stoneage there is just a fixed or dynamic option for the graph card

I have had my hp computer for almost 2 years. One day I turned my computer off and then about 2 days later I went to apen it back up and couldn't see anything. The power button was still lit up and the airplane mode button as well. I soon realized that when I looked very closely or I held a bright light up to the screen that I could see what was on the screen. I do not know much about the software or anything like that. I use windows 8 & in the bottom right corner of my computer it says "2000" ha ha. Sorry! Also, adjusting the brightness doesn't help. Please tell me what to do, or if I should bring it geek squad or something. Thanks in advance!

HP Pavilion G4 Series Laptop's Screen Blinks(flickers).
I have HP Pavilion G4 1121-tx with Microsoft Windows 8.1 64-bit . A few days earlier when I turned on my laptop the screen started flickering(blinking).
I tried updating both the AMD Radeon HD 7400M Series and Intel (R) HD Graphics Graphics 3000 graphic driver but the problem was still intact.Rolling back to previous version did not help either. Atlast I decieded to reinstall my operating system. It helped but only for two days. Now i have tried Updating my drivers , reinstalling my operating System but nothing really helped.
After a week of disappointment I figured out a way to solve the problem temporarily. Every time I Uninstall my Intel (R) HD Graphics Graphics 3000 driver and restart my Laptop and then reinstall AMD Radeon HD 7400M Series driver the computer works fine for less than 24-hours.

Drivers for AMD HD Radeon 6770m - HP's are from 2011; AMDs aren't compatible
I need to update my AMD gpu drivers, the ones from HP are from 2011, but the new drivers from AMD aren't compatible. After install neither the on-board intel gpu or the amd gpu works and I get error messages regarding their status/drivers.
Any suggestions? Any chance HP will update their own ancient drivers soon?

Pavilion dv6 AMD Radeon distorted display
Hi,
I have a 3 year old Pavilion dv6 (Win7 64-bit, Core i5, Radeon HD 6770M) that has consistently had driver issues since its first year -- frequent BSOD, driver crashes, etc. The most frustrating thing is that I cannot open Chrome with seeing distorted lines, pixels, and black shapes:
This first started with flash videos, and then the whole screen even for simple pages. I switched to IE and the same thing happened eventually. I'm currently on Firefox and it hasn't happened, but I would like to switch back to Chrome. I reset the computer to factory settings and after the automatic Windows Updates installed, I got a BSOD with igdpmd64.sys. I found solutions to uninstall KB2670838, which I did. I also went to AMD's site to download the latest drivers from 2014, but after I installed I could only view 800x600, though it did solve the pixelation problems. I've since rolled back the driver using Device Manager and things are back to where they were before I reinstalled.
Other details that I've seen frequently mentioned in boards: I also have an Intel HD Graphics with switchable graphics. I went to HP's driver assistant but the only drivers I saw were my original drivers.

vertical lines screen hp envy 6-1001 tx
Hi all,
My HP envy 6- 1001 tx strated to show a vertical line (red) on the right side of the screen in some positions like a year ago, depending on how I was openning the computer, e.g. to which extend the screen was opened, but till now, I managed to get rid of it just by changing the screen position.
However, few weeks ago, the vertical line has been persistant, and even worst, any time I move the screen of the laptop (up or down), there are like 10 vertical lines showing up in this side of the screen. Now, at any position, I have half a dozen multi colour lines blue, and red ones, on the right side of my laptop.
Also, when I press with my fingers the plastic around the screen near the hinge, the lines just disapear, but as soon as I remove my fingers, they reappear. It seems to be linked to the hinge, as when I press the right hinge, the screen is well again.
I am 100% sure it 's not a driver or graphic card problem as I use to plug my computer to my TV (HDMI) and there is no vertical line. It s a hardware issue, linked to the unfortunately HP envy hinge issue.
I bought the computer in Australia and I m living in France now.
Please tell me how to proceed to get rid of this,

HP Envy 17-j050US HDMI issues (syncmaster)
Hi everyone,
i have this envy 17-j050us leap motion and recently when i tried to connect it to the syncmaster through hdmi, i realized this issue.
I updated the video driver and sometimes it even recognizes the TV in the "screen resolution" window, but it's still black showing "no signal" or "cant do this function" (or something like that)
I've connected the notebook with another tv and it works. Same with syncmaster/another device such as PS3.
i could not figure it out by myself and its getting on my nerves.
could anyone help me out?
