Backlight goes out when on AC power. I can see the display with a flashlight so I know the computer is on and functioning. Display (backlight) works fine when on battery power.

internet search results shown very small and unreadable without magnification

HP 15-g011sq Notebook PC graphic cards problem
HI ,
I bought an HP 15-g011sq Notebook PC 3 days ago and i have an issue with my graphic cards . The R5 doesn't switch to the 8570M in any app , game ... i've updated bios , i've installed the drivers from amd.com , i've reinstalled win 8.1 but still no result . I've searched in catalyst control center and i have no option for switching ..
I have the switchable graphics option , i set the apps to the performant gaphic card but still the r5 is running like nothing happend 
.. could someone from HP tell me how to resolve this issue ? I'm not very happy with this and i'm thinking to take y laptop back to the seller and get another brand ...

HP pavilion/dm4 goes to sleep after 1 minute--it's a drag!
I've checked my control panel settings and then the advanced settings (for notification icons--which doesn't apply to this problem).
What ever I set, I'm working at my computer and screen always goes to sleep 1 minute after if I don't touch the keyboard.
What am I not getting. I need at least 5 minutes or so before it should go to sleep. My computer at the office only goes to sleep after I make it.

how ever after following all the step through controle panel when I get to playback
there is no option for hdmi
is there a driver available or some way to list hdmi as an option??

[HP Probook 450 G1] Orange screen & getting stuck on the Windows 7 Ult 64 bit startup screen
Dear HP support,
Please help me for my case.
Description: The screen suddenly changed to orange and all the icons in the windows changed their colors also. As you can see in my attached screenshot. After restart, getting stuck on the welcome screen of Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit.
Steps:
- While having an orange screen, I restart the laptop and got stuck on the windows startup screen (there is no flag).I reset and run the startup repair of the windows. Everything went OK for a moment but after several minutes, the screen went to orange again.
- I turned off the laptop and switched on after 30 minutes and it worked well until now. Could you please tell me if there is a problem with the VGA card? Is there any conflict between the drivers and the Windows 7 Ultimate? How can I fix it or should I bring my laptop to HP support center in my country?
I've just bought my laptop for 7 days and already installed all the drivers dowloaded from your site.
Laptop's information:
- HP Probook 450 G1, core i5-4200M, RAM 4Gb DDR3, AMD Radeon HD 8750M, Intel HD Graphics 4600 (on-board).

HP Pavilion 17-f125ds computer is running but monitor is blank
I've had my laptop for less than 3 months and two days ago my computer screen would just go blank while I was in the middle of using it. I was able to close and re-open the cover and it would start working again, but now it won't at all. The computer is running and there is a little light coming from the screen. I did a hard reset without luck. Twice I was able to just barely open the lid and I've been able to see my login screen but once it opens more, it switches back to a blank screen. I do not have the cords needed to hook it up to another monitor. Can anyone help?

when trying to watch a video online or through netflix, all i get is a blank green screen however i can hear he audio. how do i fix this issue? or could this be a manufacturer issue and maybe i should just return th laptop? i have only had it for one day!
