hi i am using windows 8.1 64 bit but after installing a amd catalyst center windows behaviour changed it doesn't go for hibernate and sleep and after unstall it windows comes into normal position please refered me proper solution to install amd driver wihout any issue and also suggest me which version will be compatible with my device i have tried amd 14.9 and also 14.11 but issues didn't solve i am curretnly using intel Version10.18.10.3325 windows update show me amd wddi 1.3 driver but it always failed not installing..

Display on video wont play but sound will.
A few days ago I tried to watch a video on youtube but only the sound would play while showing a black screen so I tried a load of videos and it was the same for all, but there was one or two that would play normally. I tried other sites and it was the same for them. I found a load of updates I had to install afterwards and after I installed them it worked again and has been okay for the last few days, but now it has done it again so I do not know whats wrong. I have ran scans for viruses Ive looked for update but there isnt any. I'm not great with laptops so I dont know what to do. Can anyone help?

Cant swipe/scroll with touch screen
I have a HP Envy product code C8P48AV serial number 5CG34106H4 HP ENVY TS 15 Notebook PC.
ABout 1 month ago my hard drive completly failed. I purchased the computer in the USA but now live in SIngapore. I brought the computer to HP SIngapore and they were able to honor the warranty and replace the hard drive and OS (WIN 8).
After getting the computer back I upgraded to WIN 8.1 which is what I had before the hard drive died.
Everything works fine except for the touch screen. It works but not fully. On the main page of windows with the squares and all your apps I can't scroll the screen unless I actually touch the scroll bars on the edges of the screen. Same things happens on websites and in windows photo app..... Before my hard drive failure I was able to do this.
I checked device manager and under human interface devices there is no touch screen listed.
I checked HP web site and found two graphics drivers and Intel one and a Nvidia one.

I installed the intel one and I received a warning that my current driver was newer I installed anyway and didn't fix it.
I tried to install the Nvidia one and was told there was no compatible hardware. I have a Nvidia Geoforce sticker on my computer.
I have used the HP support assistant and it tells me there are no updates available. I have run WIndows update...
Any ideas what the problem can be?

colored lines on laptop screen
i hav got hp pavilian g6 laptop (i3) with windows 8.whenever i switch it on it shows coloured vertical lines on the screen..and after a number of switch on off atempts it starts working totaly fine and then next time again when its switched on same problem occurs.plz tell kne if its a hardware or software issue. since my laptop is out of warranty i would like to kne approx what wil it cost to get damgaed part if any to be replaced?

Driver installation problem on my HP 15-r074tu

I am using windows 7 - 64 bit. I've tried but unable to solve the graphics driver intalltion prolem. i've install nvidia graphics but not working, even I cant open google earth, unabe to use webcam. The message shown-"you do not have the compatible VGA hardware or driver to run webcam." When I play any video, the picture is not clear.
wrongly I've installed windows 8.1 drivers in my windows 7 64 bit previously. But now intall windows 7 drivers but graphics driver & bluetooth driver not working.
Please help me to sovle the problem.

Webcam
I'm having big problems with the webcam built in my HP Envy m6 laptop. The webcam will work one time and when i go to open it sometimes minutes later it tells me no camera connected. I restart or close the lid & sometimes that will work & other times not. Shutdown will sometimes work also. Its become a big pain. Any suggestions? Thank you!

Turning on Red Lights on the HP-Envy 17 3D-3090nr Monitor
Hi,
I was hoping someone could explain how the stereoscopic 3D lights (i.e. the 2 red lights on either side of the webcam) that drive the active shutter glasses work?
I recently installed Elemenatry OS Linux (based on Ubuntu) and noticed the lights get turned off when it boots. Windows 7 on the other hand automatically turns them on during boot and they stay on even after a reboot. Everything else works perfectly well enough, the 3D is the last piece of the puzzel.
I have desktop with the exact same dual boot setup but as a 3D monitor I use the Sony PS3 3D Display which works in a similar way to the monitor on the Envy-17 3D. However, on the PS3 display there is a button that one can use to manually activate the lights.
I am wondering if there is a way to turn the lights on manually on the Envy-17 display rather than dynamically as it currently is?
Is there a driver that I can apply with ndiswrapper or something to manually turn the lights on?
It doesn't seem to be a graphic card driver related issue and experience with Windows on the desktop has shown me that the auto-dectection doesn't always work.

Can't play games on my hp envy 15-j151ea
So I bought a new lapop (HP Envy 15-j151ea) and I tried playing league of legends on the lowest resolution and the fps were very low (about 6/7)

And I have Directx11 installed. What else can I do? I mean, the graphics on this laptop seem to be good enough to run it.

HP DV6 6164TX: 90% of the screen display red line
Please help me to solve my problem.
I have a HP Pavillion dv6 6164TX laptop and is now displaying red lines where ever the screen is white. These lines are not fixed. Sometime these are red and sometime these are colorfull. This is the screenshot by click on print screen button.

Swithable Graphics Problem-HP Pavilion g6-1005et Notebook PC
Hi;
İ have HP Pavilion g6-1005et Notebook PC.
My harddisk is broken because of this i bought a new one. İ installed Windows 8.1 After than i couldn't use my Atı Mobility Radeon 6470M graphics.
When i want to upgrade graphic, the windows sees my graphics as Atı Mobility Radeon 7400M.
İ can't find right driver and windows uses İntel Graphics.
Also there is no switchable graphics settings in BİOS.

[HP Envy 17t] Any way to increase dedicated memory ram (Virtual RAM)
Many of the newer more demanding games require that a certain amount of RAM is virtually dedicated to your graphics card, and after hours of trying to figure out how to do that I came up empty. On most desktops and some laptops you can go into the BIOS and change it, but not on the HP Envy 17t (Tried updating BIOS). I'm really not sure how much of a difference it would make for gameplay, but considering how I have an extra 11 gb of RAM when I'm rarely using more than 4 gigs it'd be nice to be able to put some of it to use. There's also a few games I want to play that require a minimum amount to even be launched at all (COD: AW). Tried customer support to no avail. Got nowhere after an hour and didnt want to bother to sit on the phone with them. Googling also didn't help much. So has anyone figured out yet?

hi all,
i have recently bought new hard disk and reinstalled all drivers along with amd.
as it was oudated version 11. 1 something so i downloaded latest driver(14.__) for my laptop
windows 7,
6770m hd AMD,
fixed graphics mode
but after installation it said that it dosent support
i need help to get the stable drivers of amd that works best for new games for the above settings (latest amd not working).....
and also could someone state whether fixed mode or dynamic mode is better for gaming

how to connect hp pavilion dv2000 to digital TV with HDMI and S-video
I have this HP computer and digital tv panosonic viera 2007 plasma. and i have the cable with one end of VGA and one end of HDMI. I plugged them and try to find input from TV but it did not work. How could I connect them so I could use TV as a bigger monitor.

Media player capable of running on my AMD Radeon 8600M graphics card
Hi all,
I've had my HP pavilion 15 n008tx for a while now and have recently bought a Gopro Hero4 black. I need a media player that will run on my 8600M AMD video card as VLC media player and windows Media player are locked on the 'power saving' card to 'ensure compatiblity'.
Due the the locked compatability, they won't run 4k or even 1080 @ 60+fps w/out glitching.
I've tried to download the CyberLink Power DVD software fromHP but it states that 'This software requires an authorised computer to run' and I've got no idea what that means!
I need a media player that will alow me to switch it to the AMD card so I can run 4K and other high res/fps video files.

I have a ENVY Dv6 laptop. I want to know if I have widi. From hp sites I have the correct processor 3630QM, and graphics card, Intel HD graphics 4000. Not sure my wifi adapter will handle widi. (ralink RT5390R) . Will I have to replace the wifi adapter to use WIDI?
