HP ENVY 15-j165 hdmi output problem - tv recognised in video and audio setup BUT external screen blank
it even mentions the SONY-TV in the output settings (audio and video) but there is nothing on my tv, just a blank screen
have tried re-installing drivers, getting frustrated 
How can I resize the address bar or reduce the font size? I am using an HP 15, running Windows 8.1. This bar is huge! It is using up too much screen space.

I have an issue. I just bought HP Pavilion 15-n246se notebook and I tried to connect it with TV by HDMI cable, that is work properly with other electronics, but there was no display on TV. What is the reason?

Hello. I have a new question. After updating a Pavilion 15 Notebook PC from 8.0 to 8.1, and having installed numerous, mostly, security-updates, my computer started having problems. When I want to play a video on, for example, Utube, it has difficulties openig the video's. Also when I'm playing a Solitairegame, the sounds don't correspond with the images anymore. Before I never had an issue with these things. Am really unhappy with it. People warned me that updating could bring trouble, and it seems it has started. Can anybody help me with these issues? I just replaced the cooling fan in my Pavilion DV4000 (dv4030us). I powered the laptop on after reassembling it; the fan spun up, the`front panel lights and quick launch buttons lit up. Unfortunately, that was about it... There was no video whatsoever. I went back and double checked that I didn't miss making any of the connections; I hadn't. If there is anyone that has had this problem or a similar one I would greatly appreciate any assistance you could provide.

Well, I have HP Pavilion g6-1325se Laptop, My internal graphics card is Intel HD 3000 Graphics, My external is ATI Radeon HD 7450M ..
I have the lastest updates of the external card from HP site for my Windows 8.1 64 bit.
When I went to know my graphics card from many programs and even online websites such as http://www.systemrequirementslab.com/cyri/ It detectes my graphics card as the internal one which is very bad graphics card, even games like PES 2015, 2013 and FIFA 2015 detects the same things.. Help me please
Hi I've been having serious problems with my hp pavilion dv6-101ei lately. Firstly there is no picture at all when I switch on, the screen is blank or black. The screen is a led screen and I don't think the backlight of the screen is gone as when i power up the screen is illuminated but there is just no picture, an as it is a led screen don't think it is an inverter issue. Also don't think its a a motherboard problem either as when I connect to an external screen I do get a picture. The second problem is that since the screen went out the laptop has takes very long to start-up and is starting to freeze after a while while working (but not during start up). The 3rd problem is that the laptop is becoming extremely hot, to hot to touch on some parts without a oven glove, so hot in fact that while I was running a HP PC Hardware Diagnostics UEFI systems test a notice came up to shut down or hibernate as teh computer was too hot. All these problems happened around the same and started with the screen. Please can anyone offer any advice, help or assistance. Thanks in advance

After first repair they changed the lcd-panel (don't know what that exactly means) and touchpad. After this the bug just moved down a little bit.

Hi. I have a notebook pavilion dv6 3298 at windows 7 x64 with Ati radeon 6550 graphics card.
The problem when updating the driver on the official website of AMD.
Windows no longer recognize the video card Ati radeon 6550, but instead sees the video card as Ati radeon 5000 series (this is the problem on windows 8.1 x64, only worse, the laptop starts to constantly reboot. I had to go back to Windows 7).
Works notebook stable only if the driver for this graphics card download on the official website of HP support, but they have dated 2010.
Accordingly, it is impossible to put some modern game, because they require a newer graphics drivers, which this laptop can not get even from HP website support.
Maybe someone had a similar problem, but he was able to resolve this issue.
