My laptop screen was damaged due to accident and I changed my laptop screen under warranty but now after one year of changing there is Horizontal lines coming on my screen and it is increasing.Due to horizontal lines my display is moving up and down therefore I can not see my display perfectly.I think they replaced affected laptop screen.
Is there any solution to fix it or change my laptop screen free of cost because its HP service fault.

windows 8.1 and AMD radeon HD 6700m switchable graphics on HP pavilion dv7
Hello all
First would like to give positive feedback because my former problem was solved here but this thing appears again.
I have HP pavilion dv 7
i7 -2670QM (2.20ghz)
(8 GB Ram)
Windows 8.1
So my problem is with the switchable graphic as it is stated in the subject.
I had windows 7 previously and I had no problems with switchable graphics-
When I bought licenced win 8 the problems started and are continuing in my 8.1 upgrade.
I tried several thing, from turning off switchable mode in BIOS, turn it off in win desktop, uninstalling drivers or blocking drivers and it still doesn't help
It's a shame that with a computer like this I can't play a bit better games that I was able to when I had win7.
The main problem is that when the game instals it checks your computer and tell you if it's ok or not-and everytime I get that I have intel HD3000 graphics. and not AMD radeon hd 6700m graphic card.
Can anybody tells me how to fix this thing? I don't have any problems in display adapter-all drivers are good to go, i have the latest amd catalyst software.
It would be a shame to buy win 8 if 7 was good and better working on this issue.

hp pavillion 13x360 glitchy running
when the computer is running any program the screen flashes like the processor has a glitch. I cant watch any video or run any programs as the screen flashes so rapidly. When i plug in a usb drive it only makes it worse. Laptop is a week old. Need help

In-built camera working with EmguCV in Pavillion 15-n235
Hi, I'm using an Emgu cv 2.4.9 application and i'm trying to run it but it does allow face detection with the in-biult camera or external one. I tried the application in a different machine(Toshiba- 2+ years old) and it work perfectly. My laptop is a Pavillion 14-n235 i5 from this year.
Any suggestions on how to solve this?

Nvidia GeForce 820M Question
Hi to all.
I have this notebook Notebook HP 15-r018nl with video card Nvidia GeForce 820M with 2 GB Video RAM Dedicated Memory.
I bought it for gaming but i am not very satisfied by it's performance.
Some older games By example Mortal Kombat Komplete Edition (2011) is running very very bad with maximum Graphics,
like Antialiasing , Anisotropic Filtering and other video setings.
I want to know if it is something wrong with my video card , or this video card is not for gaming.

The Green Screen and Video Problems
Hello,
I've read through the issues and answers on this topic but some of the things are working and some not. For isntance, I was able to resolve one of my issues with some other fixes I had found through general online forums for the "green" screen which plays with only audio. It seems to be working for me on you tube but not on Facebook anymore alhtough Facebook videos worked the first time around when I rebooted.
What I did was go into my internet options and under accelerated graphics I ticked use software rendering instead of...
and under the security tab I ticked enable 64 bit processes in enhanced protected... Should the Enhanced protected mode be enabled as well then? Should I tick that option.
I also treid to do what the answers recommended...such as right clicking on the video in Facebook when it is playing and while I do get a pop up I get settings options or global settings and adobe flash player info...clicking on settings gives me options but none for the "display", only for my microphone, camera and storage. If I click on global settings, it takes me to flash player help. And last option I get my version of Adobe info, which is version 13.00.214. So no option to untick disable accelerated graphics cause I think I've done this in control panel already.
But now why it is working with youtube and not with Facebook videos I also tried to play some home videos like wmv files and other video files in my windows media flash player and there I get a black screen but still audio plays.
My computer is an HP Pavillion Notebook PC and it came with Windows 8.1 already installed. My Graphics Display adapter is an AMD Radeon R5 Graphics Card.
So what the heck do I do now. Should I install newer Adode Player? Even when unticking the accelerated graphis option, this is really not a solution to the deeper problem and issue, because then it slows down your graphics?
My computer is not even a week old and I hate having to always download fixes and constant updates and spend hours researching and trying to fix a problem that really should not occur to begin with. Why are there so many glitches with Windows? Is this a problem related with windows updates as well. Active X controls? Compatibility isuses with 64 bit processes. Should I use Firefox. I did that with my old HP which finally kicked the bucket and that is why I had to buy a new one. I had to replace my battery before even a year and my warranty battery did not last that long either and then the thing finally overheated and died. But I had lots of similar things happen before with last HP laptop so is it Windows or is it HP or is it browsers, players?
I am sorry if I am unloading on you...I don't mean too but it is just soooo frustrating as a consumer to have to always go through these kinds of things. I use my laptop for self employment so please help!!!!!

HP Pavillion G7 Backlight Issue
I am having issues with the display on a G7. It's too dark, and I can only see a picture when I shine a flashlight.
Backlight is bad, replace monitor, right? Wrong. I replaced the monitor with a brand new one, and I'm having the same issue.

Broken hinges on m6 notebook
The hinges on the notebook have broken and the screen is detaching, based on the multitude of posts about this issue how can I get it repaired? It's obviously a manufacturers defect and HP should take care of it.

My friend gave to me a hp 8560p with hd 6400m series vga. I updated this driver by using CCC Autodetect and it changed from 6400m to 7400m. My vga works ok with games and i didn't find any errors . but Is it ok?.

HP Envy 6 1002tx hinge problem

My name is L Anand Rao. I bought a HP Envy 6 1002tx in Aug 2012(almost 25 months back). And from the day one, i have been facing the hinge problem. The first time this issue cropped up was after 10 days i had bought my new laptop. Since then, the frequent hinge problems and replacements have been taking place. Till now, the whole display has been replaced 4 times. And now again, this problem has come up.
Even after replacing the display, the build doesn't seem stable enough for it to last long. Even if i get it repaired, i am pretty sure it won't last long. Till now, i had the HP extended warranty which covered its repairs free of cost and now that has expired. I have found out that the repairs would cost me around ₹12000-₹15000.
I would have probably not minded getting it repaired if i was sure that this problem wouldn't repeat. But all those who have an idea about this model know the reality.
Please advice regarding this. I cannot dish out that much amount frequently.

Pavilion dm4 display turns off sporadically
Hi.
A few days ago my HP Pavilion dm4 started having display problems.
I turned it on, and the screen would not turn on- all the lights were working on the keyboard, I could hear that it was on- but the screen was black.
After a couple hard resets, I got it to work, but ever since then I have been having this issue every few hours- it is getting very frustrating!
I don't know if this is related, but when turning on the computer (when the display does work) I get a notice that the battery level is too low, and it needs to be replaced. I've already ordered a replacement.
The reason I think it may be related is because I've tried playing with the battery/AC cable, and it seeems to me that when the battery is connected to the computer, this problem occurs more frequently, whereas when the battery is disconnected altogether, and the computer is working only on AC power- it still happens, but less...
I would appreciate any help.

Laptop Display Question
Hi,
I am evaluating for purchase an HP Envy laptop. The laptop is the 15t-q100. When I spec it out on the shopping cart, it comes up with product ID K0B71AV_1, although I cannot bring up the user guides unless I put in only product ID K0B71AV, without the underscore and '1' on the end.
The display listed in the details is given product ID G5855AV. I have been unable to cross reference this display product ID to the half dozen display part number options given in the service manual for the product ID K0B71AV.
My question: What I am trying to determine is exactly what display this is? The service manual shows at least a half dozen possibilties, some anti-glare, others not anti-glare, some touch, others not.
Can anyone provide the exact part number of product ID G5855AV so I can see which of the possibilities in the service manual this display is? I am interested in an anti-glare screen and want to ensure that what is specified in the shopping cart as G5855AV is one of the anti-glare options or not. Touch screen would be an added benefit.
It is beyond me why HP cannot simplify their part numbering so customers can figure out just what it is they are ordering, or, at least pul a FULL DESCRIPTION of each part in the list of specifications.

My HP ENVY dv4 windows 8 camera is not working and it cannot be found on the device manager.
I am using a HP Envy dv4 on Windows 8 and trying to use the 'Cyberlink Youcam ' Webcam which is not working. When I went to find it in the device manager, it was not present. I have restarted my computer already.

[HP Pavilion g6-1211eu] Switchable Graphics Options in BIOS version F.66
Hi,
I have a Pavilion g6-1211eu with product number A3S08EA#AKS. I am on Windows 7 64-bit and using the latest BIOS version for my system - F.66, provided by the HP website.
The problem I have is that the option detailed here isn't visible on my BIOS even though it is the latest version. What should I do? Do I need to use an earlier BIOS version? Is there a fix?

Mobile Monitor setting on an HP g6 2239dx laptop
Hello Everyone,
I have been working on a laptop for about a month. I have finally gotten the laptop to where it will boot and give me a login screen on an external monitor. I found a lot of out date drivers on this machine and I have slow gotten all the drivers update and activated. Now, this past Monday night I was looking at the monitors that the system said were connected to the computer and I found 2 Generic Monitors one being a desktop and one being the LCD display on the laptop. Well I knew this was wrong to I went to HP and I downloaded one of the video drivers that where offered. Well that driver did nothing so I tried the other driver, well low and behold the LCD monitor came on and displayed the Windows 8 startup screen. I kept the desktop monitor connectd just in case the LCD where to go out again. Anyway, I logged in went to the desktop and right clicked on the screen to get to screen resolution. When I did this it show two monitors, again one being the desktop as a Generic PNP Monitor, and it showed a Mobile Monitor for the LCD display. Well I got out of screen resolution, went to other parts of Win8 and it worked fine no problems at all. I really thought I had this thing figured out and fixed. Well I went to power down, and when I did I notice the option to do updates and restart. Well I chose this option and the computer did the updates, however when it came backup the LCD display was no longer working and it show a lighted display. I connted the external monitor and logged in. I went to desktop and and did a right click to get to screen resolution and that is when I noticed that the Mobile Display was no longer available and that it was showing an option of Multi Displays or Monitors both being Generic PNP Monitor. I know that my problem is the wrong driver, however how do I get the Mobile display loaded again? I have tried the reloading the driver from HP, but it just keeps the same setting. Should I uninstall the present driver? My fear in doing this is that if I disable the external monitor then I won't be able to see anything becuse the LCD is blank. Any and all tips are all greatly appreciated. I have used all of my knowledge and really want to get this laptop back in service.
