Brightness of Half Screen of Product name: HP 1000 Notebook PC is reduced
I have Product name: HP 1000 Notebook PC and i am using windows 7. I used to keep my notebook in very safe way. my notebook half screen brightness is reduced. it is exatly in the center of the panel. what could be the reason and what could be the solution. its warrenty has expired. i haveopen the notebook but after oppening it, i came to know that this fault persists with most of the machine. can HP replace the screen free of cost?

black screen while watching videos
For the past month or so I have been having a problem with my screen going black but there is still sound for 5-10 seconds or so, then the computer shuts off (sleep mode I think). I have my settings in power settings to never go to sleep but it still happens. I also have a laptop fan constantly running under the computer. It has also happened when taking an online test for school, it was using flash for the test. It goes black at random time intervals. I am using a G72-B60US. Please help, the video part is annoying but the test part can not happen again.

Bottom 25% of my screen has fine gray horizonal lines running across, making reading next to impossible. Whats happening? Laptop is old but never had a problem until now. Is this fixable or do I need to start shopping for new one? (Windows Vista operating system)

HP 2000 Laptop display problem
I have been using this laptop for a couple of years with no problems. Today, when I turned it on, more than half of the screen was covered with a strange pattern of intersecting lines and blotches. This is a multi-boot system, and the weird pattern covers the entire left side of the desktop on all operating systems, as well as the black startup screen and the BIOS setup screen. When I first booted up, underneath this overlay, I could barely make out a message about a low battery that may need to be replaced. I don't know if those problems are related or not, but they both started at the same time. Does anyone know what could be causing the display problem or how it can be fixed? Other than this, the computer still seems to be working okay, but I have to shrink my browser window down, because I can only use less than half of the screen. Thanks for any ideas.

HP Pavilion dv4 1465dx, my display screen is flickering. It is unstable what is causing it.
A friend used my computer, and I thought he turn it off. But when I looked at it today it was still on, I don't know if it was in sleep mode but it was warm. Anyways I pickcked it up and the screen was flickering, I check my history to see what sites he had been on but, the the history was deleted. I also checked my programs and features to see if anything was downloaded and there wasn't.
I ran my Norton 360 and did not find anything wrong however, it did slow it down from flickering. I did a system restore and it did not work. It is still unstable and flickering. My OS is Vista.
Please help!!

Playing Blu-Ray movies on HP 8760W Elitebook Notebook computer
I have an HP 8760W EliteBook Notebook computer with the HP docking station and a nice dual monitor setup. I recently bought some Blu-Ray movies and want to be able to play them on my computer. However, the latest version of Cyberlink PowerDVD says that my AMD FirePro M5950 video card doesn't support HDCP which is preventing my Blu-Ray movies from playing. Is there any way to get them to play on my laptop? I was looking for an external video card option but didn't have any luck there. Any other ideas other than buying a new laptop?

Black screen
I Have a one month old Pavilion p001la and today, while I was resetting the notebook, I accidentaly closed the screen. I decided to leave it like that. The Notebook then heated up a lot and went back to normal ( All of this while it was closed). From there on, every time I turn it on I get a short Beep sound( it lasts for a second or less) and then the screen stays blank. The leds work fine butTheres Just Nothing on tje screen. I Read some where that it may be stucked at hibernation ( i su suspect this to be the cause because the ventilation sounds are similar) I've tríed the hard reset solution severls times but it doesnt work. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance.

I have a hp elitebook 8540p energy star with windows 8.1 pro operating system. When I switch it on, all the led lights comes on with the system fan spin at a greater speed until the laptop is turned off manually bt nothing displays on the screen.the caps lock along with the nums lock lights flashes 5 times wh when this happens.what do I do

HP P059NG laptop video card amd r7 m260 not working
I have hp laptop with 2 video cards, r5 and r7, but as it seems r7 just dont work at all. How do I change r7 to primary, because my laptop is only using my integrated r5 video car. Changing to high performance in catalyst or some similar stuff did not help, its just integrated r5 works, r7 does not, its that simple. Sorry for my english, i hope you understood the problem.

HP Pavilion: brigtness changing
I'v had a HP Pavilion X360 13-a020nd for about a month now, and it's a great device. Right out of the box, there was a small problem though. The screen brightness keeps changing. I know there is a sensor for screen brightness, but I've disabled all the Windows energy settings and automatic screen brightness.
De screen brightness doesn't change when the light in the room changes. It changes while using the device. For example, opening a screen with a lot of white in it (Like Internet Explorer or the Windows Explorer) makes the screen turn brighter in a few small steps. Closing this screen or opening a darker screen (like Spotify) results again in a change of brigtness, making it dimmer in a few small steps. This problem occurs both with power plugged in and on the device battery.
I've been searching for a solution a couple weeks ago, and found it in a piece of HP-software on the laptop. I disabled something in a HP-program, and it hasn't returned untill today. Without changes any settings, it happens again. I hope someone can help me to find back this setting, because working on a laptop while the screen brightness keeps changing is really annoying me...

Upgraded to Windows 8.1 and now getting Flashing Screen
I just upgraded to from Windows 8.0 to 8.1 and now my screen is flashing almost like it is refreshing (only happens on
the startup screen where all my icons are at such as the control panel etc....)
I mangaed to click on internet explorer and able to keep that screen up without any issues but the startup screen in the background continues to flash to a blue screen.
This issue only started happening AFTER I installed Windows 8.1.
Please help.

Notebook doesn't recognize installed graphics card
Recently purchased the HP Envy 15-q748ca notebook which comes with the Nvidia GeForce GTX 850M installed. However, laptop has stopped upgrading the drivers and no longer recognizes that that GPU is installed and is instead using the Intel HD 4600 GPU. Help.
