When I wake my computer it has a bright pinkish screen. You can't see anything through it. It gradually lightens and has lines going horiontal. Eventually, from top to bottom is goes to a normal looking screen. I'm looking for a fix for this without having to replace screen/laptop. Thanks!

facing problem in video card
i brought a new hp15-r062tu laptop and install window 7 32 bit. But when i tried to open the webcam through cyberlink youcam it showing as "you do not have the campabitble vga or hardware driver to run youcam". moreover when i viewed the display adaptor in device manager it is showing standard vga graphics adaptor and brightness key is also not working.
again when i tried to open the herts game it is showing as "hardware acceleration is either disabled or not supported by your video card driver,which could slow game performance.make sure you have the latest video card driver installed and that hardware acceleration is turned on"
i checked the the hardware accelerator it is alright and is enabled already.
can anyone please suggest me a solution.

Rotate problem
I have a HP Pavillion G6 2003sr Notebook PC and I can't rotate my display. I tried everything. Hot Keys don't work. Intel Graphik and Media Control Centre doesn't have Rotation Options. Help me to solve this problem please

HP Pavilion G6 screen testing
Pavilion G6. Windows 8.
Just fitted a new screen into the G6 laptop. Now when I boot up the screen goes straight to the testing mode. An external screen is fine.
The testing mode is a continous loop. Any ideas of what is wrong please? or how to rectify.

Extended desktop with DVI-D not being recognized by hp docking station
Ok so i have a hp elitebook 8460p with a docking station. The ports include both dvi & vga - I want to utilize the two large monitors as my displays (laptop closed and in docking station) - i have this set up at work and everything works fine.
So now i have two monitors at home, and a spare docking station from work and try to duplicate this set up at home and for some reason the docking station/laptop is not recognizing the monitor with the dvi-d cable?? (I swapped cables to vga just to insure the monitor is working as it the new one just purchased, and it is. The other monitor only has vga.)
My only guess is this cable is bad? But it's brand new from Radio Shack : Gigaware DVI-D Dual Link Cable. Does this have something to do with digital vs. analog on the cable?

Diss/Re-assembled Hp Dv6, screen and start button fault
Hi! Before I start I pre-apologize for posting this thread wrong, and possibly bad English.<br><br>I have had my Hp Pavilion Dv6c10ed for a couple of years, and today I tried to clean the fan. Unfortunately I think I failed somewhere, because the power button works odd and the screen is all white/gray with black lines.<br><br>I think I know what's causing the on/off button to be broken, because the connector had a purple plastic thing made for pulling it out, which I accidentaly pulled off :/ Can you just glue it on, or take it to a workshop so that someone can replace it? I think it's the one on the upper left under the keyboard.<br><br>And the second fault is the screen, which I don't where that connecter is placed. Is it a normal and easy problem to fix?<br><br>I'm starting to ask here before I leave it at someone who can fix this, since I'm a student with not much money, and I prefer to have my computer fixed without having my local computer rep. to take 50$ to find the problem.<br><br>Would be greatful if I got some answers.

Horizontal flickering lines on HP Touchsmart 15-r017dx
I just got my HP Touchsmart 15-r017dx 3 months ago. Ive barely used it and already i saw flickering lines. They dont stay on the screen they just flicker. I dont understand why my laptop is new?

Black Screen on HP 2000 Laptop
My HP 2000 laptop (running Windows 8.1, Intel Pentium) goes to a black screen after I log in. The cursor moves, but the screen is blank. I read that others were having the same problem, so I tried to do some troubleshooting. I tried pressing F11 after starting it up and got to the troubleshooting screen, where I tried to do a system refresh. It said "The drive where Windows is installed is locked. Unlock the drive and try again." Then, I tried doing a system restore but it said "no restore points have been created". When I tried to create one, a dialog box appeared and said "System Protection is only available in online operating system." Lastly, I tried opening task manager from command prompts to see if I could open any programs from there, but every time I try to open a new task, it says "Windows cannot find (insert task here)." I don't want to do a system reset since I've never backed up my hard drive and I'll lose all my files. Is there anything else I can do?
If it helps, this morning before this all started, my laptop had the "Kernel data inpage error message" and shut down. The black screen problem started after that.

Why doesn't HP recall faulty product?
I have several HP laptops, one being a dv6 1.7, and all have overheating problems. I have had them all repaired are various points and the feedback from the technicians is that overheating is a known problem with HP products and you just have to put up with it. They are all out of warranty now but this surely makes HP product not fit for purpose...

I recently bought an HP g200ax laptop. It has got two graphic cards. One integrated with the APU A8 512 mb. And additional 2GB AMD HD 8500. When I check in hardware monitor only one is working i.e the 512 mb card. The other one is idle and temperature is shown zero degrees. I want both of them to work simultaneously or at least 2gb one to work. Please help me on this.

Red and Cyan coloration on screen
I own an HP G62 notebook and recently it has been displaying red dots on dark areas and cyan coloration in white areas mainly. As I still can plug a monitor in that displays colors correctly, I concluded that it was no GPU overheating problem. I then turned to the cable and replaced it, but the pixels are still not displaying properly. What should I do?

gifs in windows 8.1
how can you get windows 8.1 to save and run gifs? they work in mt browser (chrome) but when they are saved to windows poicture viewer they are converted to jpg files. when i was running windows 7 the gifs that i saved remained gifs and worked. what should i do?

HP Pavilion 11-n010dx X PC touchscreen
I have an HP Pavilion 11-n010dx x360 PC that is about two months old. Today my touchscreen stopped working. A quick search on google seems to reveal that the problem is with Windows 8.1. Am I stuck with this issue until Microsoft updates the software, or is there a fix? Thanks.

Webcam Not Detected
My laptop cant detect my webcam, I tried to reinstall cyberlink youcam but that didnt work, my webcam use to work fine but then it just stopped working, i tried to update drivers but it says everything is up to date. The driver did say HP Truevision HD, but i tried to uninstall and reinstall that but it wont reinstall and the hp recovery program cant find it either.
My laptop is a HP Pavilion 15-e084ca Notebook PC with AMD Radeon HD 8650G and windows 8

battery always at 99%

HP Pavilion dv7-4178nr Entertainment Notebook PC - boot with black screen
Dear Sir/ Madam,
My notebook boots with fan on, blinks on keyboard in the caps lock, but there is no display in the screen at all. There is no backlight as well.
First of all, it would go like this. You shut down the notebook, restart it. try it for 10 to 15 times then it will start as normal. After about 2 weeks, when i try it, it didn't work.
I took the problem to service center, where the person told me that there is issues with the video card. He took my notebook inside and fixed it. He told me not to watch videos or play games.
I bought the notebook then I worked on it for about 1 week. After that one day i watched some videos on youtube. I also tried to download apps on microsoft store. After a while, it started to show scattered lights in the monitor. I restarted it. then the message" Press esc to load boot setup" appears to be in red color instead of white. there are also scattered lights somewhere in the screen. Then I again forcefully restarted the notebook. then it didn't start. the same problem that happened last time is happening.
Then today I again took my notebook to the service center. The person fixed my notebook again and again took some charges and told me not to play games or watch movies. Now i am writing in this forum with the same notebook just fixed today. But i wonder how long it will go. I need some solutions and precautions so that such problem doesn't happen again.

graphics card problem
i just bought a new hp r007tx laptop which has core i5,4gb ram,2gb nvidia gt820m graphics.
but i am unable to utilize my graphics card .
When i open a game like pes 2013,it tells that computer does not meet the minimum requirement (that is 128 mb of vram) and hence the game does not run.morever in the game settings it shows nvidia gt 820m but with 32 mb of vram.
I had installed the drivers from hp site yesterday.
I am not able to figure out the problem.anybody help please.

cant adust brightness even after installing windows basic driver
As i have searched for forum before ,I already updated intel 4000 graphics and also switched to windows basic display driver.but nothing happens.only the brightness bar goes up and down ,the brightness doesnt change.And I have Another problem regarding graphic card driver.The window appears everytime i start my laptop,the message shows like this,"There is no AMD graphics Driver installed on your computer to support your graphics card. pls help me as early as possible....Thank you in advance for help
