Hp envy m6 touchsmart screen turns black
My hp envy m6 touchsmart screen turns black and I don't know why? But I can still see the arrow, the volume meter, brightness meter and airplane mode on/off on the screen. I can't hear the fan moving. The light on the keyboard is still functional.

Display on HP 15-g019wm Notebook PC malfunctioning?
Hi!
So last February, I bought a HP 15 Notebook PC. About 4 months ago, the display would occasionally become discolored with moving lines. About 2 months ago, the display never went back to normal again. How do I fix this? As far as my laptop says, I have warrenty until February.
I have tried adjusting the display settings without any success.

Based on information received from this forum, and thank you to all who have contributed; after further consideration and more research, the questions now should be the final ones to determine the what the final steps will be.

In further reading, and having found the PDF for the laptop, that includes illustrated breakdown of the system, I read the video card is part of the graphics card, which is too say they are one and the same?
If this is the fact, the next question is simply the video graphics card in the laptop is integrated? A GPU, and from what I understand is not replaceable?
On the off chance there is a fix, any idea on the cost of the video/grahpics card? I already know from other forum posts of individuals wanting to upgrade to a more powerful graphics, which is definitely not feasible in a laptop. I am not wanting an upgrade I just want it to work, as advertised, the way it was manufactured.

AMD CCC Not displaying Switchable Graphics
Hello,
I have been having problems with my Switchable Graphics on my dv6. I have an AMD 6770M and with the HP OEM drivers everything was fine, but I have been updating my drivers directly from AMD in favor of better performance and such. However, since the latest update, 14.9, I cannot access the Switchable Graphics portion of Catalyst Control Center. It also may have been because I updated the Intel HD Graphics driver, with I am not sure if it messes with the functionality of the SG. I am posting here because I have tried to reinstall OEM drivers from my model's driver support page, but when installing I face 2 problems. One is at the beggining when installing Visual C++ 2010, a pop-up shows and says "Install Package Failure" but then the install seems to proceed. Also, when finishing the driver install with "Intel Media Components", progess bar does not move at all before the whole driver install finishes, making it seem it didn't install, which may be part of the SG problem.
This problem has caused my computer to be permantely running on Intel HD Graphics, which is not good for anything demanding in the video aspect. When I right-click my desktop try to open the Configure Switchable Graphics of CCC, a default screen displays that is not what it used to look like. I have tried switching my SG function from Dynamic and Fixed with no change. I have even disable the Intel HD and AMD cards in Device manager, but that just changes my external monitor off and lowers my laptop display resolution.
If anyone can help me reinstall the original drivers for both the AMD and Intel Graphics to fix the switchable part, it would be much appreciated.

PC Screen Replaced
I just have one thing to say about HEWLETT-PACKARD...THEY ARE THR BEST!. I sent them a PC with a cracked screen and they did not fix it. They sent me a brand new PC . Now who does that? All I can say is give them a chance and don't go off (like I did) and they may suprise you too. I was shocked. All I can say is HEWLETT-PACKARD earn a lifr-long consumer in me. I would'nt dream of buying an electronic product from anyone but HEWLETT-PACKARD. I'll stick with a winner!

He, we have a HP Pavillion TS 15-B103AU with a cracked screen. IS there a DIY replacement screen I can get to replace it? I"m an IT professional myself so am confident doing the work, also I'd prefer a non touchscreen as we never really used the functionality anyway and I know a non touch screen would be a lot cheaper

about display half light and half dim
my laptop hp 1000 is running windows 8.1. The problem i m experiencing is that laptop screen is split into two halfs vertically, right side being slightly brighter than the right side. Now this issue doesnt appear when i m in BIOS setup. Moreover, in windows some desktop backgrounds show this prblems while others dont. The problem is somewhat intermittent. Need help :-(

now the problem is the brightness controll is not working through key board keys
brightness reduce key shows that brightness is at extreme low side... but increase key dosent work!!!!

I am wondering, what is the difference between these two products ?

Switchable grafics problems
So i recently bought a HP Pavilion 17 notebook and i realized that this laptop has 2 GPU s and since then i am struggling to switch from my Intel GPU to my AMD GPU but i didnt find any solutions. Mostly because my BIOS inst the same as the other ones so i cant disable my Intel GPU from there.And i have already downloaded AMD drivers so that the dedicated GPU can be reconized by the laptop.PLEASE HELP!
