Hi, newbie here... I have an issue with my Pavilion 9825nr... Originally it was purchased with os Windows Vista 64-bit... Got virus, had to upgrade to Windows 7 (by choice)... Windows 7 has been great, but about a year into running it, my display would get pink lines and dots in it and the picture would freeze... I deleted all drivers, reinstalled, and still had problems... Now, Windows is rejecting (code 43) driver and video card... The card in question is Nvidia GeForce 9800m GS, which came with the notebook at purchase...

 

My first concern is, is my video card bad/need replacement?  Second question is, is it part of the motherboard assembly or is it interchangeable? and Thirdly, can I upgrade to something else other than the exact replacement?

i have bought hp Envy sleek book a few days ago from here in china, it has window 7. but i could not found the webcam settings in it nor the blue tooth , what should i do now.

hello,

 

I'm using HP Envy 3D 1191NR (VGA Radeon HD 5850M)

 

Now I'm experiencing a problem, my display now has a green vertical line. I once had this problem, at that time, i turned my laptop off then after some minutes, I turned it back on then the line's dissapeared. But now when I did that, the line's still there.

 

Anybody knows what's wrong?

 

Please help, do I need to replace my laptop's display?

I have been using HP540 laptop for 3 years.  Recently, after a system recovery, it starts to breakdown randomly. (power disconnected with our any warning, I have to restart it to use the laptop, but soon breakdown again, so render it not usable any more)

 

I reinstalled it by installing one driver after another which enabled me to find it was only after the installation of GRAPHIC DRIVER then random breakdown happened. Now, I do not dare to install the original graphic driver again and I am using it like before. But the display is of poor quality and dual monitor support is not available which is very important for me.

 

Anyone ever met such things? Any reliable solution? Thanks

Hey guys,

 

My laptop recently had a problem and i've had to reinstall windows 7. once i reinstalled it and installed all the drivers(intel HD graphics working perfectly fine) and got to the AMD radeon driver for my pavilion dv6, in the middle of the installation the screen went black with just a flashing "_"..once i rebooted it i had to restore it from the BIOS in order to make it work in anyway..but the Radeon installation is just not happening..i cross checked the drivers and downloaded them from atleast 3 different sites including the HP Drivers site...nothing is happening and im getting the same error again and again. Please help me out..Im reaallly frustrated with this thing.

I have the ENVY m6, with an A10 AMD processor and Beats Audio.  I downloaded the latest bios about 2 months ago.  Ever since then I have not been able to run any music or video through Window Media Player, Quick Time Player and iTunes.  Only the RealPlayer will function.  I have uninstalled and re-installed everything.  I have uninstalled RealPlayer completely just to make sure that it was not causing the other crash.  I have installed each of the applications to test for conflicts.  Nothing.  Has anyone else experienced this?  Will I have to releod windows completely?

On the laptop dv6015ea - AMD Turion 64 X2 mobile technology TL-58, 1,9GHz. Mainboard RE404EA#ABE -->

 

My Specification say : 128MB of TurboCache™ video Memory ;

- but My Video/Card say only 64mb, I knowthat sometimes itcan be changedin theBIOS,but myBIOS HP F.43is notavailable,this option.

I have an Hpdv7 laptop, win 7, 64bit. It's working fine otherwise but suddenly my tv no longer recognizes the HDMI conx and vice versa. It has been working perfectly for weeks. I have been streaming thru my laptop since my PS3 decided it no longer wanted to be my media server.

 

The first symptom was the picture was perfect but the sound disappeared. My sound card icon doesn't show the HDMI conx now. Sound worked fine on the laptop. I assumed it was the LG tv and restarted it only to find that it now doesn't have a pic from the laptop either. It does see my bluray player though.

 

I'm hoping someone can advise me. Are there separate HDMI drivers I should reload and if so where do I find them? If not what is the recommended course of action?

PS: the only changes that were made just before this happened was Firefox did an update and Adobe did as well. I have unstalled and reinstalled Firefox just in case.

 

OMG!!!!!!!!! I was considering my problem so I just uninstalled all Adobe and restarted my computer and YIPPEEEEE!!! I'm back to normal. Sound and picture have returned. I'll reinstall Adobe in a couple of days and see if the problem comes back. Too crazy for words!:smileyvery-happy:

Now if I could only get my LG to recognize my Sony Bluray settings page I'm done.

Okay so I have a HP Mini 311, and yes it's been with me for years. I literally love this laptop. But today, I stupidly let my cousin hold it and as soon as i left the room, it dropped, the battery fell out and the hard drive thingy almost popped all the way out. Pushing it back in i turned on the screen only to have where it's normally black, some type of dark green, and when the windows seven start up menu comes up, its all pink. And now while I tried typing in my problem, the whole screen went a dark pink which prevented me from seeing my typing (It was supposed to be white). Can I get help or do I simply have to get a whole new system? :(

Okay, so I have a Hp Mini 311, for years now and Im simply in love with it. But today I let my cousin stupidly hold it, and as soon as I leave the room, she dropped it. The battery had fallen out, and the component where i think holds the hard drive thingy popped out almost completely. The screen itself wasnt hurt. Putting in the battery and turning it on, instead of a completely black screen (save for the hp logo) i was given a dark green. And when the windows seven (home premuim) menu started up, it was pink. And now, wherever there's white, its simply a darker pink. Do i need a new system or can I fix it???? :(

more than two years and we are stil waiting for this dream bios which provide fixed mode 

we shoudn't stop ,we should send thiusands of massages to hp experts and managers 

they should hear our voice

fill hp page on face book with thousands of comments about this problem and as they fixed the bug in dv notebooks the shoould do the same thing with us

I have a dv7 Notebook with the ATI Radeon HD 4250 graphics processor.  Lately when I power up the computer (with power from the power supply), the display goes dark (totally shut off) after login and won't come back on again.  I assume the display goes dark when the system tries to start up the 4250. 

 

If I power up under battery power, the display works fine, presumably because the 4250 isn't being started up as a power saving measure.  After fully bootin up under battery power, I can plug in the power supply and switch to the 4250 with no problems.

 

Is there something I can do to "reset" the 4250 so that it boots up properly?

 

BTW, I am on Windows 7 and the 4250's driver is up to date.

i tryed to download few movies and succefuly done it on here www.downloadafreemovies.com and now want to play them on my Pc. before runing them from zip files what else i might want to do. is they ok with the media player or power DVD else there any player or codec wanted to stream for it.

My HP Pavilion g7 2233cl screen started flickerng all around the edge of the screen.Shut it down lastnight and turned it on this morning and it went to flickering made sure all drivers were up to date along with bios and no change any help would be great.
